For someone that is looking for representation I wouldn't recommend John Tijerina. My father used him a lot when I was younger and I decided to give him a chance. For my consultation with him I had several ideas and he brushed them off and the way he reacted it made it seem that he wasn't interested in the case. I had several legal questions to ask after doing some online research not one time did he recommend any of that. Anyways, John is probably interested in making a quick buck on unsuspecting folks. So beware, on the Brightside consultation was free and enough to know he's not worth my money.

Andrew and his paralegal Teri were extremely bad. He represented me in my divorce in 2013 and was awful. He did not fight for me, and in the end, I ended up with paying for all my legal bills and my ex’s too. He left vaguely worded statements in the decree about who was responsible for paying credit card bills after the divorce was filed. I had to constantly call their office to get information on my case, and the only thing they were good for was increasing their billable hours. Run as fast as you can from these guys.

Andrew Stacio, Terri and all Stacio & Stacio staff made our adoption as painless and enjoyable experience. All document requests were thorough, complete and error-free. All documents were submitted in a timely manner to the Court house. From start to finish, entire process was completed within 8 weeks. An amazing time-frame given complexity of our case. I would recommend Stacio & Stacio to anyone who would ask me for a referral.

Stasio and Stasio have represented me for over 4 years on various issues and each time they have been exceptional to say the least. They are part of just a select few of the most highly respected attorneys in Tarrant Co. I would recommend this firm 100% to anyone for their remarkable representation *As far as some of these other reviews by these few unsatisfied clients, there are some cases that the clients themselves can destroy by not following the direction of their attoney(s) It is up to you to whether or not you want your case to succeed. *

I contacted Mrs. Bowers in May and explained I had been arrested in Tarrant County on a possesion charge, while also on the final year of a 5 year felony probation out of Johnson County. I had already been contacted by Johnson Co. and told that regardless of the outcome in my Tarrant Co. case, they were filing to revoke my probation so I would have need also require an Attorney there because being charged with a crime is a violation even if you are found not guilty. Mrs. Bowers agreed to represent me in both cases but it would cost a little more than usual because of the MTR hearing being a seperate case even though it resulted from the same charge. I agreed to the price and gave her 50% down and would payment plan the remaing. Four months later (Thanksgiving Eve no less) while driving through Hood Co I get pulled over for a headlight warning and taken into custody and held without bond for Johnson Co. on a warrant for probation violation. Johnson Co. can't technically take me into custody until after the Tarrant Co. case has been been resolved. So I sit in Hood Co. jail for 58 days and I tried to call Mrs. Bowers at her office everyday to let her know what was happening and to let her know I had $500 on me when I was pulled over she could have and I would pay the final $500 2 weeks later. She never accepted my prepaid calls from Hood Co. Jail. Her secretary told my sister they couldn't discuss my case with her when I had her call. January 20th I am transfered to Tarrant Co. jail and I try every hour to call her office because I am told I will go to court in 30 days. I write several letters to Mrs Bowers granting permission to talk to my sister who I released my car and money and has the $1000 still owed to Mrs Bowers. Never hear anything back, and it is day of court and judge starts to give me a Public Defender and I tell him Mrs. Bowers has been my Attorney since the start and she was the one who kept postponing the case so I could keep working and going to NA meetings and counceling for the 4 months prior to Hood Co. The judge told me she was never listed as my Attorney of record which should have been done as soon as any payment is accepted. He rescheduled for 10 days later and said I had to accept public defender if she didn't show. She didn't and I took advise of public defender and accepted 60 days county jail in return for no contest plea. I had already been in custody for over 3 months so the judge said they were giving me time served and releasing my to Johnson Co. 3 days later while still waiting for Johnson Co. to pick me up, I receive a letter from Mrs. Bowers that says she is no longer willing to represent me and that they had not been aware I had been in custody since November. That was all, no further explination why, I asked my sister to contact her office since I had already written permission to discuss with her. I asked my sister to let Mrs. Bowers know I wanted her for my Motion to Revoke hearing or I wanted my money back. Mrs. Bowers refused to discuss either option with my sister even after I provided Notarized written authorization. When I got to Johnson Co. I was given a photocopied piece of notebook paper with writting that was not legible and was told it was my public defenders name and contact info. When I asked the guard who gave it to me what it said he was not able so I filed a complaint. Finally 6 days later the Assistant Warden was able to find out the info. Evidently a whole lot of people were disturbed because my public defender didn't provide her info typed up on letterhead like a normal person and when I met her (3 minutes before the hearing) she was hostile towarfds me and suggested I accept 20 month prison sentence. The max sentence for my charge is 2 years and I have been in jail 9 months but she says I will only get credit for 3 months so I tell the judge and she yells out it was a misunderstanding. I settle for 15 months w/ 9 months credit. Still want explination & refund Randy!

I was arrested and booked into a county that is known for piss poor court appointed, or outrageously expensive attorneys. Where if you're broke you're gonna not only sit in jail for months on end but def get the short end of the stick. This man was a court appointed and he took care of business. I watched men go into court and back to jail over and over waiting on a lawyer to get it together. I was in and out of jail that day with much desired sentence. He helped give me a chance at starting over and my life has never been better. Thank you sir.

Personally, I would not recommend Sylvia. She was very helpful initially, as I was recommended her by a close friend. I paid her retainer to her in cash, then I was informed that she moved to a new firm shortly after hiring her, then was asked for another retainer with her new firm. Not sure if this is normal, but the way I was communicated with about the situation by the new firm wasn't very professional and quite rude.

He made it clear that he was fighting for me and any decision that was made or needed to be made Mr. Glover made sure I was comfortable and informed. The outcome was a win. He is an attorney that I will keep on file because he will be my go to guy if need be. Mr. Glover knows his stuff.

He lied about his experience as a criminal defense lawyer. He took on my complicated case with no intentions on seeing it all the way through. Once he got my money, he used scare tactics to get me to sign a plea deal. He said we had a great case, open and shut. Until he received the last payment, then he decided it wasn't that great, and said things like "when we lose, your looking at 99 years" Its your life, your the one thats got to do the time.

After getting off to a great start with someone I thought would be compassionate and highly responsive, it went downhill from there. Court appearances were disasters, hearings held without my knowledge or input, deadlines missed which caused irreparable harm, appointments missed. Zero remorse or any offer to make good on these issues. Would not recommend.

This case took way too long to settle, 5 years. I was rear ended by a driver that was on a cell phone while on the freeway. My car was totaled, I suffered injury. The driver's insurance company made some unacceptable offers. The two year limit expired, still no mention of the driver being on the phone was made. In the mean time I had another accident which made settling for a fair amount difficult according to Art. After depositions, meetings, paying for medical records for YEARS it finally dawns on Art to ask for phone records. Of course the time that lapsed made things difficult in obtaining the phone records. Apparently that was the straw to break the camel's back & a settlement was made. I would've been better off dealing with the insurance company directly. This guy got 1/3 of my pain & suffering for absolutely NOTHING. Do not hire him unless you have time to waste & money to burn. He will not help.

I was having an issue with a builder contract and I found Hunter McLean on Avvo and a bunch of other lawyers as well. The next morning the only one who responded was Hunter and he was extremely responsive and we talked about my issue. He was conscious of the fact that I'm building a home and finances may be tight and instead of just saying oh well these are my fees he actually recommended an associate that was a little less expensive and could handle this simple issue. One might thing that was the end of his involvement but NOT AT ALL!! We ran into an issue where the associate wasn't 100% sure of if the lack of markings on the contract invalidated that piece so he called Hunter in. Hunter didn't just answer his question but he came in and sat down with me and explained the missing piece. He didn't even charge me more. And after they emailed my builder they were IMMEDIATELY back to work with nothing else to say. If I have any legal issues regardless of whether its real estate or anything else I will be contacting Hunter and either using his expertise or seeing if he could advise me as to who in his firm handles that particular issue. The best example I can give of Hunter's service is a waiter that doesn't ignore you after you already left the tip. It shows TRUE desire to help!

First off I'm not much of a drinker but Andrew is the type of guy you could have a drink with. From the start I was totally comfortable and felt a sense of security with Andrew. I told him what I wanted and he got it done for me... Actually more than what I expected. I had a felony and misdemeanor. He got the felony thrown out and a light smack for the misdemeanor and he got my guns back to me which is what I really wanted. He's funny, has swag and has a presence in the court room. His colleagues seem to have respect for him, and the judge called him by his first name with a certain tone of professional respect. Andrew will always be my favorite officer of the court and id recommend him to anyone looking for a solid defense. Trust me I've dealt with a lot of lawyers, and Andrew's knowledge and professionalism takes the cake.

The fact that they say it was a mistake with that statement, that means internally one of your lawyers wrote that out and thought it was a good idea because you wouldn't have accidentally sent it if it wasn't written or printed. Honestly, get a law firm that treats people like humans. Also, we need to know the lawyer's name who wrote that paper out. Protecting this person is disgusting. You should be blasting this person even if it was a mistake, which again, if it wasn't written or printed, you couldn't have made that mistake, which means at one point you thought it was a good idea.

I hired Elizabeth Rivera as my attorney for a complicated lawsuit, involving more than one party and including a corporation. As most people realize, the wheels of justice run slow. Covid interrupted my cases. However, even after all that, Elizabeth amazed me on many occasions. It was as if she had perfect recall of the details of all aspects of the case and quickly zoomed in on discrepancies by various parties. In court, she was professional, skilled and very prepared. I am happy with the results. In every aspect of the case I could win, I did. In the one aspect of the case that through no fault of Elzabeth I lost, Elizabeth's amazing court skills, used to argue against the outlandish attorney fees that the other side tried to make me pay, won me a favorable ruling. Do I recommend Elizabeth Rivera to others? Absolutely! Will I use her again, if needed? Absolutely! Do I have anything negative to say about her or any of her staff? NO!

I wish I could charge people what she does with that little effort. She did not communicate nor prepare me for court, tell me where to go and showed up late. I never write reviews, but I have to try and save someone else from a huge mistake. Went with Shannon after a recommendation and was very disappointed. She talks a real big game, but that's all it is, talk. She never knew the facts about my case, constantly told me incorrect information, and was only interested in billing hours. Especially for small business owners, stay far away, she does not understand even the basics. After almost 6 months of billing me with no work done, I had to work directly with opposing counsel and my ex to nail down child support. Turns out Shannon was the delay and I was paying her for it. The communication with her and her paralegal was absolutely horrible, would not receive updates for weeks/months. In the short time since I let her go as my attorney I've already regained custody time and been paid back attorney fees, all on my own. She made my divorce worse and more complicated, the exact opposite of what a good attorney should do.

Andrea took excessive and unprofessional amounts of time to answer calls and emails in addition to preparing power of attorneys and LLC beneficiary designations. I was extremely unsatisfied to always leave a message with a receptionist and never receive a call, email or even a draft of documents. We were consistently told our file was “in review.” Thankfully Andrea refunded our retainer and we were able to hire an attorney who had the power of attorneys and other standard estate documents completed in 48 hours. McGinty filed my divorce and was negligent. She and her assistant told me that we could not go to court for Temporary Orders hearing due to a death in the judges family. As a result, I was not awarded spousal support (I was a stay at home mom), there were SEVERAL mistakes in the orders, and several items were left out of the orders. As a result, I was at a disadvantage for the remainder of the divorce. At least 4 other lawyers reviewed her work and all were surprised and appalled with the work that she had done (or didn't do). It was very hard to contact her and I consistently got conflicting advice. Please do not even consider using this attorney.

At first glance, this attorney seems to care about you and your case. Once retained, it is an entirely different story. Nearly every conversation centered on what money was owed to her and her hardships and was never about the case. In the end result, I paid an entire “flat rate” fee—only to have her withdraw from my case—forcing me to retain and pay another attorney to start from scratch. Do NOT HIRE HER or work with her. In addition, Sean came up with higher child support payments for me than the opposing party attorney did and when I re-calculated the child support payments, the opposing party lawyer ended up accepting my calculations. Sean told me about a deadline for a response on reading and responding to documents from the opposing party and then called me to yell at me and berate me when I texted him that I had emailed him a full response. I did ALL of the reading and work on my case. Sean was hard to contact and the opposing party lawyer even accused me of not having a lawyer because Sean was so hard to contact. The worst part of it all is that I had a few very reasonable requests for changes to the divorce decree that the opposing party had crafted and had sent them to Sean to relay to the opposing party lawyer. Sean never relayed my comments to the opposing party lawyer and merely told the opposing party lawyer that I wouldn't budge and that we would have to go to court to settle the issues. The opposing party contacted me directly, outside of both lawyers and asked why in the world I would want to go to court and spend a lot more money?! I replied that I certainly did not want to go to court and I sent her the email I had sent to Sean with my requests for changes to the divorce decree. She read it and found the changes I requested to be perfectly reasonable and ordered her attorney to make the changes I requested via an email which she cc'd me on. Her exact words were “The requests Tony has made are reasonable, I don't know why Tony's lawyer did not pass them on to you.” I normally give out great reviews to bless people. In this case, I felt like it was my duty to warn fellow people who might be in a desperate legal situation. It is a horrible thing to feel like your attorney, who is supposed to be your advocate, feels like an enemy.

Mr. Malanga did very little work on my case and largely relied on my footwork to deal with my case. I would not recommend this lawyer.
