It's hard to tell. He once told me I was the most difficult client he had ever had, I said thank you and moved on. But what makes me so difficult? Knowledge of the law, refusal to accept his word for anything, and a fierce internal sense of justice. Maybe. I think John is smart and wishes he had stayed in academia. Tennessee is a dumb place to try and practice the law, the folks in charge make it impossible, that's not the fault of the attorneys, right? Anyway, John is great, he's just a Tennessee attorney and they can only do so much.

Angela did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable with her and supporting me during this stressful time. My brother and I who both live out of state needed an attorney to handle a rather complicated estate for our father and step mother in the state of Tennessee. Bobby was referred to me by a local friend in Franklin and we could not have been happier with the choice.
Bobby and his lovely mother were incredibly responsive to our needs, budget and the difficulty of having clients who reside out of state. Bobby was able to handle the matter to our ultimate satisfaction and was able to navigate successfully the complicated state of affairs our parents had left upon their passing.
Once Bobby sorted out the estates he was able to refer us to another local attorney to deal with the real estate sale portion which was also fairly complicated.
My brother and I greatly appreciated the services Bobby provided, as well as the piece of mind that this matter was being handled professionally and in a timely manner without us having to fly back and forth from out of state.
I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing a quality lawyer with excellent values, and experience in the state of Tennessee, especially for matters in Williamson County.

These guys are all about the money they will get not your outcome. We were hit by a woman running a red light in Chicago. We had some minor injuries with ER bills, therapy bills, transportation bills since car was totaled and other small personnel losses. They accepted our case, we gave them everything they asked for and that was about all they did. We always had to contact them to get any kind of update. They never contacted us and most times it took several times to actually talk to a lawyer. They tried to hand case to another firm and they also did nothing. It will be 2 years in July which is the statute of limitations and they told me last week that they decided they didn’t want the case. Blah, blah, blah. Absolutely useless firm for us. Wouldn’t recommend for anything except sorriest law firm I’ve ever experienced. Save your time and get someone that will actually do something to help your case. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Carl Sterrett

I was seeking an attorney who had the Armor of Power. One who used the facts of knowledge as his weapon not an aggressive demeanor. Aggression in the family court of law is frowned upon. Whitney was my attorney for my divorce this past year. I was totally lost and had no idea what to do. She immediately gave me the sense that I could rely on her, and let some of my worries go. It's hard to try to focus on details in such an emotional situation, I needed someone else I could depend on who knew what needed to be done. Whitney was caring and compassionate, but also firm, competent and efficient.
Divorce is awful, but Whitney got me through it and helped me feel in control. I would not hesitate to recommend her to others in the same boat.

The first time I contacted Mr. Barney, it was to assist my wife and me with creating wills and reviewing a lease contract. He was extremely professional, and we were happy with the service we received. So, when my brother told me he was being sued by a major corporation, we recommended Mr. Barney for his defense. Mr. Barney exceeded our expectations with the case. He was extremely knowledgeable and committed to the cause. We felt like we had a true partner who cared about us and about justice. He worked long hours due to international conference calls occurring in different time zones and traveled out of state to attend the court hearings, but he never missed one opportunity to defend us. My family could not have been happier with the service we received. I would highly recommend Mr. Barney for any legal matter and for that reason I have given him a 5 star rating.

She "represented" me in my divorce, She was interested in billing - a 30 second phones called was billed to me at 0.1 hrs. She did nothing to help me. I could have done better reading a lawbook. She didn't even know the difference between a deed and a deed of trust - and I lost a house for my children in court proceedings. I rue the day I ever gave her any trust and the 20K I paid her, I took another attorney and 3 years to get her mess cleaned up. Run.

Ms. Joanie Abernathy recently helped me with a prenup and I have to say, I was incredibly nervous about the whole process and did not know what to expect. She was such a breath of fresh air! Joanie is an incredible lawyer. I hired her for a civil issue with an ex-boyfriend that continued to abuse and harass me. She was always available to meet and discuss any impending issues. She was organized in her case review. She is also very straightforward in what she thinks is possible given the court system. She gives good advice on ways to approach questions that may be asked in court and how to answer them without coming off too emotional. She is very compassionate and solution-based. She always stated "we will get through this" and made me feel like she was on a team with me. I was very prepared as a client and she allowed me to provide my on insight into my case and prioritize the things I needed to get across. She kept me calm and empowered me to stand up for myself. And in court she was a rockstar!!! Nothing got past her and I was able to feel at ease and trust that she had it under control. The situation was unbearable, but with Joanie I was able to get through it. She is a winner of a person and a lawyer and I feel so grateful that I found her.

I hired this attorney to handle my divorce a few years ago. I paid her $4000 up front. I told her exactly what we wanted to do and could she please file my divorce for me. She did nothing for 6 months and when she finally sent over my MDA, it was completely inaccurate and not at all what we had discussed. She did not listen to anything I had to say and literally tried to get me to do things to drag my case on so she could charge more fees. Her communication was horrible. I eventually fired her and lost all my money. I had to hire someone else who also charged me $2000. Ms. Byrd even sent a bill after I fired her to collect for a copying fee for my records which I gave her at the beginning. Do not waste your time with this attorney. All she cares about is taking your money.

I have used Rebecca more than once and have been very pleased with the outcome. She has always been available for a console when I had questions or concerns. She is well respected in the court system in Williamson county. I have learned you never go to court without a good attorney, and I consider her one of the best. Whatever you do, do not use Laurie Parker to do a Trust. If you do, this is what you can expect. You will pay a large retainer fee before anything is ever initiated (mine was $3000). Then you will be in a several month process with you attempting repeatedly to get Laurie to return your calls & emails. You will finally have to contact her staff to ever get her to follow up with you. There will be so much time elapsed between discussions that Laurie can't even remember what you discussed previously. She will claim that she is too busy and overwhelmed, she will lie & tell you that she sent you emails when she doesn't & that they are having server problems is why she didn't respond to your emails. By the time we got done we had so little confidence in the final product that we just went to a new attorney and basically got absolutely nothing but a great deal of frustration and disappointment from the experience with Laurie … $3000 completely down the drain! Do yourself a favor & find someone competent who will do a Trust in a couple weeks & at a third of the cost of Laurie. She way over complicates the process and honestly does not know what she is doing. If you could give a -0- Star review, that is what she would get from my wife & I.

I don't normally like to rate or give reviews, but I feel I must warn others. This woman should find a new career or retire. She clearly should not be a lawyer. I don't even get how she has been able to work in that nice Franklin law office with her lack of skills and confidence this long? When she was my lawyer there was a lack of focus and no care involved. My case was completely mismanaged, what a complete and utter nightmare this experience was. She took months to even return a call or email, only to respond with information I already had and excuses. I would ask her a question and she would say that she seemed to have a lack of know-how. My simple probate case dragged on and on when it should have been wrapped up so much sooner. This is done on purpose to give you fatigue so that you finally give up. My simple probate case took years and years. I recently spoke to other lawyers about it and they were appalled at the time frame of it all. I would NEVER recommend this women or the firm she represents. I heard they take their sweet time with all these cases as to drain you financially over time. My son’s dad recently used this company to change our current parenting plan. We went to mediation and settled on a new plan but I never got a copy. My son’s father recently passed away and I called to ask for a copy to see if it got finalized because like I said we went to mediation and I never heard anything after that.
I called to ask to speak to someone so I could get a copy to prove my son’s father did have partial custody of our son.
They refused to speak to me and told me they couldn’t since I was the other party even though the other party is passed away. Very unprofessional on their end.

Very unprofessional and I will be filing a complaint with the Board of Professional Responsibility. I doubt it will do much good, but other than this what can one do.

I want to start by saying Mr. Milazo is a great conversationalist. He was easy to speak with and encouraging when I felt rather distraught over my situation. However, Mr. Milazo was just that, "all talk." He charged for services never rendered and continued to drive my bill up until I finally dismiss him. I eventually hired another attorney that did a fantastic job.
Sadly, Mr. Milazo is, like most, a small fish in a large pond trying to make a name for himself. If he does not show you results early on in your case, move on to someone that can genuinely help you.

I was in a crisis and trying to get a restraining order against my boyfriend and he agreed to meet with me at the spur of the moment the same day, which was much appreciated. But first thing i noticed walking in was that he had his assistant and then one other girl just lingering around the door listening to everything i had to say about my very private and high profile case. I didnt appreciate extra ears being in the room doing nothing but wanting to hear all the details of my horrible situation for her own curiosity. I was very distraught and didnt have the mind to tell this chick to get lost.
Secondly, as i started to talk about obtaining palimony, this lawyer starts letting out sarcastic "ha's" and then saying, "i hate to break it to you but there is no law that will give you palimony." I already know this, but palimony IS recognized in the courts of california even though it is not a law there either. I was trying to ask him if it was recognized in court system here in TN, but he kept repetitively saying the same thing as though I was "missinformed." He obviously didn't understand what I was asking and kept on with his know-it-all, "youve been missinformed" and "somebodys been pullin your leg" attitude when he is completely ignorant to the way CA courts work. I was only asking if the system is the same in TN; I wasn't trying to have a debate about "the law."
Then, he starts urging me to go to a battered womens shelter where they will "help me." I was upset, i wasnt beat up so wtf? The only help i wanted was a preventative restraining order and turned out That since I didnt have a black eye, my story of past abuse wasnt really enough to warrent a restraining order.
I was insulted when he kept pushing the womens shelter pamphlet to me saying i should probably go there. For what? Thats not what i came to his office for. I have money, why would i go to a womems shelter and sleep on a cott when I can get a hotel room?
Anyways thats my opinion. The extra ears in the room was very unprofessional, not to mention that they all three stepped out of the doorway to proceed to loudly wisper as though i cant here what they are saying. Idiots. This is a private matter Milazo, extra ears should not be in the room. If you have something to say u say it in front of me. You dont take the details of my case and proceed to gossip in the doorway. I really feel like I should not have gone there and should have made them sign a privacy contract before telling them my case. All felt very elementary and gossipy... Which my case was very juicy i admit, but i wish i didnt tell these people anything.

Jack was hired to be an unbiased manager of my parents' estate. We had properties that required selling. We not only paid the realtor and inspector fees, but Jack charged us for work that only they were supposed to do. He racked up an unbelievable amount of hours. He even hired his son to work on the properties. He does not have a paralegal, so you will be charged $360 an hour for work that a secretary would normally do for $12 an hour. Every time he had a 5 minute phone call with any of us (beneficiaries), he charged close to 15 minutes. I was forced to get an attorney because my sister was trying to steal portions of the estate from me. My attorney had to find an outsider who we allowed the other beneficiaries help pick. Jack was the one we picked. He realized how crooked my sis was. Yet when she took me to court to make me pay my atty fees, he showed up and fought on her side against me knowing full well that she forced me to fight her by being crooked. He even so from the books where she'd stolen tons of money from the estate and didn't make her repay it. The only good thing about Jack is his ability to get very high dollar for the properties. That's the only reason I gave him a star at all. I wouldn't hire him again for anything. After this is over, I hope to never ever be in another situation where I have to gave another attorney.

Very disappointed in this legal console which cost me over $20,000 a few years ago. I felt she fought more for my ex than she did for me. She caved in the mediation which cost me over $250,000. Not to mention all follow-up advise that was given started off positive, then when it came down to action, she caved again. I wouldn't recommend hiring her.

Our daughter went through a divorce a few years ago, which means it affects the whole family as well. We found Ms Story to know exactly what to do and when to do it. Since her focus is on the client, we were able to sit back and observe her in action. She was professional and thorough and kind. When anything has come up afterwards for our daughter she has been there immediately and effectively. She is very good!

She was very hard to talk to, and often raises her voice, causing me to feel belittled. It was hard to get in a word edge wise with her, she talked over me. She also made me think she had this great case then as soon as she got the money it went downhill. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Please do yourself a favor, never hire or refer this attorney, completely unethical and inappropriate unprofessional. I literally don’t know why he’s practicing law. He couldn’t even handle a simple order of protection. He also put my case on the back burner and weaseled his way out one month before trial, and not only cost me the case, but also never gave me a resolve. he doesn’t even know how to use his own computer couldn’t download or view any of the files and made me do most the work, practically filling out everything and providing all pictures and evidence to do with the case he literally couldn’t even communicate effectively with attorneys on my behalf. he also celebrated early and continued to congratulate me on how the cases pretty much over the cases already won, all I have to do is this one more thing and ultimately withdraws one month prior to trial he yelled at me he cussed at me I could go on and on with specifics, please keep your hard earned money and do your research this was a terrible experience. I felt very low priority to him. He thought that this case would be easy therefore, he didn’t do everything that he could to get it done. Not only did it cost me $4500 but ultimately left me with court cost and attorney fees totaling over $25,000. He couldn’t even enforce the contract that was given to us absolutely the worst possible experience.
