When my son was denied SSI Lee handled the appeaI for us and got the decision overturned. Recently, I got a letter from Social Security that required a response within 10 of the date of the letter, but it took 7 days to get to me, and on a Friday to boot. Big mistake hiring this law firm. My case was stretched out for a very long time, a lot longer than it should have. Ended up with a horrible settlement after being assured that wouldn’t happen and paying a huge amount of money. This firm only cares about how much they can bill you for, not in trying to help their clients.

Nora (through the NXTSTEP practice in Huntsville, AL) did a fantastic job with my divorce-related case in the fall of 2019. She took a no-nonsense, serious approach to my defense. She did excellent research and preparation work. Her communication was very responsive and timely. I've encountered many lawyers in this field around Huntsville, and there are *many* duds, so I recommend you do careful research up front. First i want to say Lee Nation is a nice person. But he is a NOT a good lawyer, definitely not a strong lawyer. I am writing this to protect others from choosing an incompetent lawyer to ruin their cases. He does not prepare, he does not respond calls and emails promptly and most of time even ignore them. His answers are inconsistent and misleading. And he gave wrong legal advices. He read my documents only 11 PM at the night before the trial. His mind was not present at the trial. He was passive and did not fight. It was a waste of money, but it was also the source of stresses. I do not recommend him. Take time and be patient and find a good lawyer who does the work you pay for and fight for you.

I used Charles Pittman as my law firm after my wreck. Tyler Mann was assigned to my case. I had a broken sternum, neck, and back and Tyler kept trying to push me to settle my case without going to court. I walked away with less than $1,300 for myself and I have had to go thru years of pain management, MRI's, injections, etc ALL from my own insurance bc I listened to him that "this was the best offer we were going to get". So now I have to have my insurance pay for everything and live in pain every day, when I could have had a major settlement. I would not recommend Tyler Mann to anyone.

Tyler Mann truly came to my rescue and provided professional legal assistance and services that were fair, just, sound, and timely. After having dealt with other over the top & very commercialized attorneys in town, I resulted to handling things on my own which became very stressful and overwhelming to me. Resultantly, I turned over 2 auto accident/personal injury cases over to him that I had been personally working for over 1 year. Feel kinda jaded. So I went to court to try to prevent from being put out of my house due to discrimination, but was told that it only applies to federal housing. I'm just now finding out that's not true and filed a complaint with the real estate commission and just fight this on my own. We were told to get out due to owners selling their property. However, that's a lie and all the Hispanics on my street were also told they have to leave when their lease is up due to properties being sold, but now those houses are up for rent!!! Every last one that supposedly was up for sale! So our attorney didn't know the proper laws or maybe just didn't feel like dealing with the case. Either way, the real estate commission said this is definitely discrimination and took my complaint! Very disappointing because we've been living in a hotel when we didn't have to!

If there was a Matessa Collins Henderson who worked for you between 2021 and 2022. Please remove her. She had my custody case and refused to submit my evidence. She walked right around that table, gave all my kids homeschool books and doctors receipts a good slap and then proceeded to ask if I had ever been evicted or had the power shut off. The judge said I was guilty of medical and educational neglect. When my evidence was right there. I'm looking up Brady Duty now. She then left me at the mercy of CPS who took my kids during the hearing without a warrant or 24 hours notice. She's a saboteur. She and administrator Demos and GAL Mike Cooper all railroaded me for money. No one has ever apologized or set the record straight. They gave me back custody of my kids, but still the damage was irreparable. I had to move out of state. Is Demos pretending to be a judge or is she an actual article III judge? Practicing law before becoming judge is unconstitutional by the way. And Matessa and all the other attorneys knew this. Demos had the audacity to put on the last court order that their father who clearly stated he did not want to see his kids ever again would still have visitation rights instead of moving to terminate his rights and that I was rude. Yes. I was. I had my shoes in the pew next to me ready to throw them at her. I was going to end my case that day. I was rude Because she tore my family apart for a drug addict while the GAL had everyone convinced I was having sex with my own daughters. Represent yourself if you can in any court. File a civil rights violation against the judge and every CPS agent involved. Use Title 5 USC 3331 and title 18 USC 912 on the judge. Get their oaths of office and go to town.

Shelley took over my contested/high-conflict divorce after a few months by recommendation. She listened to my concerns, pulled together the evidence I provided, tackled the unfortunate problems associated wtih a high-conflict divorce head-on, and strategically pulled me through the entire process. ...Was scheduled for a crucial biopsy to determine if the adipose layer over my mesenteric artery had in fact developed into a carcinoid.
On the very morning of the scheduled biopsy, the surgeon (Dr. Siripurapu), apparently found a note from Dr. Green (Heart Center) in my chart suggesting I not have any surgery until after she "clears me"...At the last minute, Dr. Siripurapu bowed out...I never got the biopsy.
Dr. Green (a heart specialist) was a new doctor to me whom I saw only one time; her tech gave me an EKG, and Dr. Green ordered a Pet scan.
She had determined that I may have a blocked artery and told me over the phone that she wanted to do an angioplasty.
I looked into the risk potential...It seemed to me that an angioplasty was at least as invasive as the abdominal biopsy I had been scheduled for. (And, as my record will show, I've had several general anesthesia procedures over the last several years without a whimper of difficulty.)
Dr. Green "discharged me" (after sabotaging my biopsy) for being "rude" on the phone...Fine...So now what am I supposed to do about my potential carcinoid?
Wait until it metastasizes?
My entire family is a "poster child for cancer"...so declared Dr. Makemson to my mother some 12 years ago.
My brother died, age 20, 1978, astrocytoma. My father died in '84, multiple myeloma. My mother, now deceased, had basal cell carcinoma. On her face. My sister has had the same, and recently had surgery for this, for the third time, in the same location. On her face. Below her eye...
So, yes, I've been waiting for the shoe to drop.
Please understand the picture here : Dr. Green effectively sabotaged a very crucial biopsy that was to detect whether or not I had cancer, then discharged me for being "rude" to her, and left me hanging...Perhaps the "rude" part had something to do with my telling her that doctors are "Merchants of Death"...I don't know...Gee...Shame on me.
(When I met her, Dr. Green made some really bizarre attempt at neurolinguistic patterning: Shaking my hand & staring into my eyes for an unusually extended time...Wait...Here's the punchline : She made the same motions twice, within about a 10/15 second period...The very same motion...Really strange !)...
Meanwhile, while Dr. Green is playing the NLP game, I could very well have a serious carcinoid issue that, if I wait too long, could metastasize.
My whole family has had more than our share of medical incompetence, here in Alabama, and my sister is barely hanging in there...
And I'm still waiting for the shoe to drop.

I highly recommend Summit Family Law. A divorce is difficult for anyone, but watching your own child struggle with the ins and outs of one is heartbreaking. I came across the firm and reached out. I used this law firm over a year ago, my attorney was Angela Hulsey.. if I had known I would have fired her from the beginning. She was very unprofessional, we didn't have any meeting prior to court, she didn't even know who I was in the court room, she made the rudest comment to me during court.. I'll never forgive her for what she said. The 5,000 up front with 600 a month was NOT worth it.. I could have represented myself and done a better job. She literally accomplished nothing..

Feel kinda jaded. So I went to court to try to prevent from being put out of my house due to discrimination, but was told that it only applies to federal housing. I'm just now finding out that's not true and filed a complaint with the real estate commission and just fight this on my own. We were told to get out due to owners selling their property. However, that's a lie and all the Hispanics on my street were also told they have to leave when their lease is up due to properties being sold, but now those houses are up for rent!!! Every last one that supposedly was up for sale! So our attorney didn't know the proper laws or maybe just didn't feel like dealing with the case. Either way, the real estate commission said this is definitely discrimination and took my complaint! Very disappointing because we've been living in a hotel when we didn't have to!

If there was a Matessa Collins Henderson who worked for you between 2021 and 2022. Please remove her. She had my custody case and refused to submit my evidence. She walked right around that table, gave all my kids homeschool books and doctors receipts a good slap and then proceeded to ask if I had ever been evicted or had the power shut off. The judge said I was guilty of medical and educational neglect. When my evidence was right there. I'm looking up Brady Duty now. She then left me at the mercy of CPS who took my kids during the hearing without a warrant or 24 hours notice. She's a saboteur. She and administrator Demos and GAL Mike Cooper all railroaded me for money. No one has ever apologized or set the record straight. They gave me back custody of my kids, but still the damage was irreparable. I had to move out of state. Is Demos pretending to be a judge or is she an actual article III judge? Practicing law before becoming judge is unconstitutional by the way. And Matessa and all the other attorneys knew this. I highly recommend Bill and his legal team!! They helped me through an extremely difficult divorce after long-term marriage with young children. He came highly recommended by friends and other attorneys in our community. Bill represented me through my divorce trial (with preceding court hearings as well) and through another modification hearing and trial shortly after the divorce trial, again initiated by ex. The Judge favored me in both trials (final decree from the divorce trial and the final order following the modification trial). I was initially awarded alimony, child support, and sole physical custody of the children and continue with all of these awards unchanged despite ex’s request for changes and elimination of these in the modification trial.
Not only were they exceptionally kind and attentive, but Bill’s wealth of expertise and his reputation in the legal community was definitely a plus. He and Sandra, his paralegal, knew how to navigate the many twists and turns of a complicated case and went up against both an aggressive opposing attorney and ex with confidence, ease, and wisdom. I retained Bill Burgess after a friend recommended him. I was repeatedly disappointed. He was cordial upon meeting him, spoke a good game, made some reassurances and took his retainer. The entire year was the most disappointing and frustrating year I have ever had dealing with him and his assistant. Besides over charging me for extraneous expenses, I am 2 years since post divorce and I am still in the legal system fighting my ex spouse because of the loop holes he allowed to pass in the final divorce decree. He and his assistant allowed me to be stuck in a joint loan with my ex-spouse who now has defaulted on his part of the loan payment which affects both of our credit even if I pay my half. I had no idea the law would not protect me nor that someone could not follow the divorce decree. When I would meet with Bill he would not remember my case, our first 30' me getting him up to speed, then he would write a letter to the opposing attorney just to be negated. My 3 friends who used him just before I did said the same thing. Never having been divorced before I wasn't sure what to expect. I am business owner myself and having done my profession > 20 years I could tell you in my sleep the normal process of start to finish. Being a divorce attorney for as long as Bill has, he should have been able to cut through the red tape, make it precise with clear cut decisions, take the emotion out of it, see the red flags and cut through the BS. No other business could run this poorly, and make the money he charged for his services. A >30 year experienced attorney should be able to help you decide what to give up and what to fight for and help you get the heck out of the legal system versus just tying you and your money up in a goat rope of letter writing with no win for anyone but his pocket book.

Handle your personal affairs or tell the client you are unable to help them. Awful Awful and then the courts sold my home on auction without notice. Sad. No stars
