Before retaining a lawyer and filing for divorce, many people warned me that lawyers were soulless, especially in Las Vegas, and only concerned with lining their pockets with my money. I was told horror story after horror story from people who've dealt with lawyers here in Vegas. Scary stuff! Fortunately, not only was this NOT my experience at all, but my interactions with McFarling Law Group was, in fact, the best experience with lawyers I have ever heard of!
McFarling Law Group is the absolute BEST law firm in Las Vegas, BOTH HANDS DOWN!! Not only are they determined to fight for you and win, but they actually care about the people they are fighting for.
I was divorcing a certifiable, textbook narcissist. When I first met with Emily McFarling, I was in a tight spot financially and could not pay her entire retainer. Emily gave me a significant discount so that I could secure McFarling Law Group as my counsel.
My ex-husband hid money and assets, got people to forge documents and falsify information, lied throughout the case and caused the case to be prolonged many times by not following the judge's orders and by not submitting requested, subpoenaed documentation. McFarling Law Group made sure to get judgments against him for this.
This case went on for years! This, along with circumstances due to the Covid pandemic, eventually drove me into bankruptcy. Although I owed several tens of thousands of dollars to McFarling Law Group, when I consulted with them about having to file bankruptcy, they supported me in doing so even though it meant that my bill for their services at the time would be totally discharged. They also further reassured me that I would not lose their counsel because of this and they were true to their word.
We finally ended up settling before the trial was to begin. One of the agreements in the settlement was for my ex-husband to pay them. Anything that was left over for me to pay, they completely wrote it off and cleared my entire balance!
They held my hand through years of litigation, stood beside me, and fought for me the entire time. I had a team of various lawyers and paralegals working on my case. There was not one time that I reached out to them and was not able to get a hold of them. The communication was great and they always updated me on any new occurrences involving my case.
I can not thank them enough for everything they've done for me. They were truly a godsend and I will NEVER forget the kindness they showed me, nor the fight and tenacity they exhibited throughout my entire case. I am grateful beyond words and from the bottom of my heart appreciate each and every person who worked on my case over the years. We got into a car accident and the person that hit us tried to blame the third driver who left the scene and the cops reported that it wasn’t her fault even after she tried to leave as well but her car was to damaged to make it past the next light. Roy got his team on the job and proved she was lying. He made sure we got what we deserved and answered every question along the way picking up every call. Delwyn Webber came highly recommended from another Las Vegas attorney. I have never dealt with a more efficient group. I no longer live in Las Vegas so most of our correspondence was done through emails.I was always amazed how fast Delwyn got back to me. On a few occasions I spoke directly with Delwyn. I was in an auto accident in December of 2015, it started great, they came to my home to sign the papers, and things were moving smoothly. I had surgery in February of 2016, there were long delays for doctor appointments, mri's etc... The other insurance company accepted liability right away, but I kept getting passed around different Point of contacts on my case. The ride was bumpy, I am not an easy person to deal with when I feel the communication is not there, however, once turned over to Chatree (managing attorney) , things went smoother. He was incredibly patient, and professional, even when I was not. When we hit negotiations, the tort's insurance company started "playing games" , however John was very persistent in keeping on top of them, letting them know we were ready to litigate. We agreed on pre litigation settlement amounts and post litigation amounts, as the fees are higher in litigation. Well, John did an incredible job keeping us out of court, and getting me far more than I expected. When we reached dispersal, April, was very expedient and professional. I have since recommended a friend to this firm and she referred them. I guess things have changed over the past 13 years, but they got the job done, it took longer than I thought it would, but I am more than satisfied with the outcome.

Karen Gesund handled my case, she’s straight forward, answers her phone and responded very quickly to an email I believe it was a weekend. When a debt collector in my words, “tried to get me,” by suing me, she backed them off me. She settled my case for less than half of what was owed. I really thought I was going to have to pay them half at the least but Karen Gesund got it down more than half. I’m so glad I found her. Peter James esq. has been my armor and shield against my narcissistic Borderline personality ex-wife saying anything she thinks might sway the judge including (I kid you not) that I treat our daughter like "a modern-day Cinderella" in her actual motion! Peter often cited cases of precedence from memory during consultation and always included these in his written and verbal arguments. He did not waste time with hearsay and stuck to referencing actual requisites of family law for the judge to weigh against whatever false or twisted half truth that (sadly in Nevada) must be taken as true unless evidence to the contrary is provided. Made a choice I immediately regretted while in Las Vegas. Went through the BBB and saw the high ratings that the O’Grady Law Group had. Called them first thing the next morning. My call was returned right away by Len Julian who was very understanding and very friendly, he answered all my questions and handled everything very professionally and everything was handled over the phone. I am usually very on top of everything and while going through this i was a very nervous basket case. Mr. Julian and Mr. O’Grady both handled my situation with the Time Share very quickly and sent certified letters out the same day I spoke to them and made me feel at ease that they were on it. A week later I was free from the contract! I am so glad I picked this law firm and would recommend them to anyone who needs to get out from under a time share! They are wonderful!!! My husband wanted to sell his house in Las Vegas, and it was a sticking situation with a family member. Although the house was owned by my husband, he needed to get an eviction to get this immediate family member out. The family member was less than eager to move and it became somewhat volatile. The members of this firm from the first call to the end were always available, before we hired the attorney, an assistant took our calls repeatedly making us feel important and that our case mattered. That's why we hired Mr. O'Grady. So, with all the great people working in this law firm, we had a resolution within a short time, they assisted us in finding realtors who could help after and just made our lives easier as we reside outside of Nevada. This is a firm I would recommend to anyone in pickle.
