In 2020, I was facing a Suspension and Debarment Case. The new was disheartening since I have had a successful military and contracting career with the Department of Defense and experience as enlisted within U.S. Navy, along with a history of winning awards and building a reputation of helping my local community. I relocated to work for a very large defense contractor, and I saw a lot of fraud and waste. I reported the incidents to Human Resources before I left the job, and I was placed on a PIP. My worker told me you will be punished for going to Human Resources, prior to reporting the incidents, the daily harassment and casual death threats in conversation that co-workers casually mentioned in front of management. I had a successful career at this defense contractor until I started alerting management and human resources about mis-mangement of funds and hardware and system use, and the dangerous comments made by coworkers. To my surprise Human Resources and my management were friends with each other, which led to backlash and retaliation about my terms of employment and false accusations waged towards me. I completed the terms of my employment, and I quit. One year later, the large defense contractor was working towards a proposed Suspension and Debarment notice stating I was a danger to the government. I searched many days for a lawyer, and I read about Ellis Bennett. He was nothing short of an angel, life saver, and career saver. I told him my story, and I provided him artifacts including the experience at the large defense contractor, and dates and times of my activities and projects completed there, along with the synopsis of the toxic environment; he took the time to listen and work with me, and I worked to help him with all the artifacts I kept of my daily experience on the job. It made a stressful and highly emotional time for me, easier to deal with me. Working with Ellis and his team made me feel as though I was his only client; he was efficient with his responses and always took the time to answer my questions. He worked and put together an amazing and beautifully written rebuttal package that showed who I am as a professional. I am forever grateful because through his response, my case was dismissed by the US Navy Suspension and Debarment office. I can continue in peace happily with me new career. I hope no one has to go through my experience, however, if you find yourself in this situation, Ellis is worth the time, money and caring and compassion, and he truly is a straight shooter, very honest. My husband and I hired Mr. Sweeny in December 2011 to handle his worker's comp case. We had been referred to him by another local attorney and saw that he had rave reviews online. Needless to say, even with all the good things we had already heard about him, he exceeded our already high expectations. Mr. Sweeny was extremely professional and courteous and always took the time to answer all our questions - even if we asked the same questions again and again. He always made time for our emails, calls and office visits. Most importantly though his thorough knowledge of the state's worker's comp system and his handling of my husband's case was the key to us avoiding years of medical debt. Mr. Sweeny was the reason - we firmly believe - that my husband won his case. He truly cares about his clients and seeking justice on their behalf and we were so fortunate to have found him. When I/we went thru a previous Workmens Comp. injury for my husband with a local lawyer, we were severely disappointed and dismayed. My Husband will never re-cover and never received any compensation. After his bitter recollection, I put my foot down and said I was going to follow through. He was not a believer! I was incarcerated because of a domestic dispute in Loudoun County. I've had many lawyers represent me in previous matters and never have I felt more confident in my legal representation than I did with Mr. Seck. As soon as he took my case, he came and visited me at the jail the next day. He came again the following day to make sure he could collect as much information about my case from me as he could. He was very responsive and strove hard to keep the line of communication open, which is difficult for a person who is incarcerated. If he wasn't in direct communication with me he was in constant contact with my family members and worked with me through them. When my court date came he was there early to discuss possible senarios and outcomes and asked me how I would like to approach the situation. I was released that day and everything was adjudicated beyond my expectations and now this criminal matter is behind me. I would highly recommend Mr. Seck to anyone facing criminal or civil cases.

I sought out Mr. Seck after a demoralizing visit to the family court where I learned my out of state court order could not be enforced in Virginia without an overwhelming stack of paperwork that I did not understand and legal expertise I did not have. I found Mr. Seck after doing an internet search. I lucked out.
Mr. Seck was patient as he walked me through the process. Not only did he help secure a stable future for my children, but did so in a timely manner while minimizing the expenses. My case resolved in less than six months. He managed to convince my ex-husband to come to the table and negotiate, something I haven’t been able to do in eight years, resulting in an agreement instead of an order. The increase in child support was certainly welcome. My former husband agreeing to pay the expenses he owed was a big relief. The best part was the comfort for our teenagers knowing that their Dad agreed to the changes and did not have to be ordered by the court to support them.
Ideally, I would not have to resort to the legal system to get the support needed to care for our children. Having Michael Seck on your side makes that necessity the next best thing to an agreeable ex-husband.

When I was facing serious felony charges I met with quite a few lawyers in Northern VA before deciding on Peter Schwartz.
No other attorney actually believed me to be innocent. They were willing to take the case and defend me, but I wouldn't dare hire a professional who says to my face and in front of my mother that I am a criminal.
Peter was the exception. From the first time we spoke I knew he had a genuine interest in helping me, I knew that he trusted me. I had already been in jail for several days, knowing Peter would be defending me (for the right reasons) was just such an overwhelming relief.
When we finally got to the courtroom, Peter was able to prove my innocence to a Fairfax County Judge. Beyond that the party responsible for filing the charges against me admitted to guilt and confirmed the story I had been telling from the start was true.
Peter believed me and fought for me when no one else would. He was always courteous and professional in and outside of the courtroom. Because of this, Peter has and will be my attorney for as long as he practises law.

I started to used Rhonda after my divorce was final and there were items in the MSA that were not being followed. She is an incredible attorney that gets things done quickly and efficiently. Overall, Thomas is 100%. Watch out for last-minute deals when he gets you to sign something at the very last minute that he doesn’t warn you about they can actually define your reputation for the rest of your life. Don’t sign up for anything with Thomas until you get the fine letter print at least a week before you go to court because once you’re in court and you’re up against that…
Overall, he’s a great attorney, but at the last minute when you think everything is wrapped up and a pretty little package, he will disturb you and make you sign something that you wish you never had signed off on.

Charles managed the insurance claims for both of my parents after a terrible car accident. From the jump, Charles worked to understand the accident (investigated the scene with us), my parents (multiple meetings in their home), their injuries, and the changes the accident caused them to make to their lifestyles. Additionally, he continually kept all of us up to date with information, the conversations he was having with the involved parties, the results/gates that he was making his way through; and involved us with decisions when warranted. Cheryl is extremely unprofessional and waits to the last minute to review/work on your case. She went out of town for 10 days and never notified me so that I would know my timeline. She racks up her bill by doing rewrites/ reviews of the documents instead of having a simple meeting with the opposed team. Pads her bill by having conversations with her assistant daily, so you are billed twice for the same conversation.
When I scheduled an appointment to discuss the bill, which took four (4) weeks, she did NOT have anything in front of her to justify her time.
Her response to why I was upset is that I did not get what I wanted.
I just wanted to pay for services that should have been provided and not perked around and overcharged by twice the amount than what I should have been billed
I would NOT recommend her firm.
