Absent other evidence, I am led to believe this lawyer is not willing to represent defendants of color. I called asking for a consultation surrounding a charge stemming from a protest. Before I was able to get more than 15 seconds into the description, I was asked why I was bothering their firm with this and hung up on. With limited information gathered, I am left to believe my dialect and voice were the cause of this reaction and, given my skin color, I am inclined to believe this was the basis of their reaction. It’s incredibly disappointing to be treated in this manner in 2021.

After a lot of research and consultations with criminal defense attorneys in the area, I chose to work with Corey and his team, and I couldn’t have picked a better attorney to represent me for my criminal charges. Both charges were dismissed before trial - thanks to the help of Corey and his team. Everyone was very professional, responsive, and diligent in all regards throughout my case. Corey and his team took great care to walk me through everything step-by-step. Corey gave me valuable legal advice on what to expect, what options I had, what the likely outcomes could be, and then he achieved the best outcome possible. I am extremely pleased with my experience, especially during such a stressful time for me. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. Corey is an experienced, respected attorney, and I do not hesitate to recommend him and the his team to anyone in need - you’ll be in excellent hands.

My brother hired this firm to handle his divorce. From the very beginning it was a bad decision. The first hearing was handled by an attorney in their office he had never even spoken to before, the guy showed up minutes before the hearing unprepared causing the need for another hearing. He then showed up at this hearing with all of the documentation needed to fix his original blunder, which by the way my brother paid for by needing to have another hearing which they charged him for. He proceeded thru this hearing and totally forgot to speak on one of the reasons he was there and the judge made her judgement leaving an order in place that should’ve never been. So another hearing was needed which again they charged him for. Time after time throughout the divorce they have dropped the ball, too many to list in this review. Long story shorter he ended up paying them over $30k and had a balance of $4k with an agreement he was paying. They decided to drop him as a client with less than a month to go before the final trial leaving him without an attorney knowing it would cost no less than $10k to get another. I’ve never been around a bigger group of blood sucking vultures in my life.

I hired attorney Kathleen Hessel to help me with a contempt hearing. From the start, Ms. Hessel was not looking out for my best interests. She did not offer concrete steps I could take. I had to require her to take my offers to the other side. I was able to do that myself. It was a complete waste of money for me to hire this law firm.

I retained Tiffany on the advice that my estranged spouse had hired an attorney known to be difficult to negotiate with. Divorce is never easy, but she was able to help me navigate a settlement that I believe is very fair to me. She was proactive in her communication and I really appreciate the way she kept my expectations managed and she never over-promised along the way. For me the end was very fair to me and fair to my ex, neither of us were taken advantage of and that's all I ever wanted when I hired Tiffany.

I had a post divorce judgement case going on 3 years. Tiffany came in and gave me great advice and my case settled before trial. I would highly recommend her - she knows the law and my ex is an attorney and she didn’t back down to him or his lawyers. She was the third attorney I had hired on my case.

Tiffany was good to start with (about 3 months) but when my ex's lawyer got aggressive she backed down and led me to believe it was in my best interest to give him what he wanted. I ended up paying a huge amount of marital support AND child support. She also told me I had to pay support before I had orders. By the time I switched lawyers we were 1.5 years into the process and I had spent $10,000 for nothing. She was always on vacation and didn't return my calls near the end. Come to find out she was shopping for a new job. Once I got a new lawyer my case was done in a month and my bill was reduced by half because all she had done was print off my emails and save them in a binder. I recommend you get someone else!

Gricel was my lawyer for my divorce. I am so grateful to have had her help me, I had met with other lawyers but they didn't understand how to handle international divorce. Gricel had tons of experience with international clients and was very honest and effective in court. She explained everything to me, helped me to prioritize what I wanted in the divorce and understand what I could reasonably expect from the judge. We were able to come to an agreement on our home and other important items and Gricel fought to help me have full time with my children. She understood what I was going through, was sympathetic and very professional. Gricel went through all the questions she anticipated which made the actual court less intimidating. She was efficient and didn't waste a lot of lawyer time making a huge bill like my friends have had happen to them. I hope you do not have a divorce, but if you have one you should hire Gricel. I highly recommend her for any divorce or child support case especially if there are international issues.

My ex finally wrote me a proposal that we could agree to while he was on “vacation”. We agreed to it and when he finally came back he vetoed it even though it could have ended my divorce. Since then they have sent over a “revised” copy that negated everything that was said in the first proposal. He is too personally invested, likely because they are sleeping together (so unprofessional). If not, I cannot fathom another idea as to why. Never has a legit argument but sticks to unproven, made up propaganda. He is a joke, and not the funny kind. Don’t waste your time or money on this self righteous joke.

Victor is very knowledgeable about the employment laws in WI, very willing to assist. Definitely one of the best attorneys I have ever worked with! And he helped me win my case so he should really receive 10 stars! I am sure I would have lost based on the antics of the judge assigned to my case, who was rude and was only focused on one of the aspects vs looking at the big picture.

Called, asked if he does unemployment consults. He said he does, but that he charges $50 because of the influx of recent calls. He asked me if I knew how many people called him daily and how I got his number (where else but the internet, where he advertises his services?). He seemed uninterested in hearing about my situation despite the fact I was trying (but was repeatedly interrupted) to tell him the $50 fee would be fine. He refused, despite my willingness, to discuss anything over the phone, unless I provide documents via text. I gave him my number, he texted me some required paperwork but then there was a contract to sign. Fair. That's why I'm giving two stars and not one. Because while he was rude, he was open to phone consultation after providing documents. He also gave me a series of links from articles he writes on the current unemployment issues. It's hard to reconcile his vast interest in this issue online, with the curt, borderline-rude, on-phone persona you get when you do call.

I have hired Steve Porter twice and we prevailed both cases. I watched as he fought to make sure I walked out with the best deal. We had a case that had plenty of proof and he had the opportunity to advise me to not settle, which would have only meant more money for him and a long wait for me but he was honest and chose what was in my best interest. I respect that. If you want someone that will fight hard for your rights and to make you whole again - this is the attorney you should hire.

I felt like the legal team that represented the business was top notch, so I was glad to have equally competent representation on my side. I wasn't sure if I should hire an attorney because the reviews I read said it wasn't worth it because they usually find you guilty. But I thought if there was any chance it would have to be thru an attorney. I called Atty. Rifelj and explained my situation. I had a BAC of .18 and facing ILD interlock device for a year. This is automatic if you are over .15. Nicholas was compassionate, discreet and said he would handle everything. I did not even have to go to court. So for a flat fee he did just that. He got my fine reduced and got me out of the ILD . I would definitely recommend you contact Nicholas if you are in need of an attorney. He did a great job for me.

My GF had a good OWI case with promising evidence of getting the case dropped. She went ahead with Nicholas because he had a flat fee and she was on a budget. Nicholas did all the paper work and represented her in the Municipal court. He stated that he will put the officer on the spot in the Circuit court because we lost the municipal court. As a lawyer, shouldn't you be fighting for your client in all courts? Isn't that your job? I was so confused as to why he needed to wait. Then he filed for an appeal to the Circuit court and didn't even send the appeal in certify mail. The city attorney said they never received it. The judge ruled with the city attorney and she could no longer appeal the case. So now, she is stuck with a loss of $2600, and a OWI on her record. She could have gotten the same result by just going to court and plea no contest and saved her self $2600. Throughout the case, this lawyer just made it feel like he didn't care what happens to his client. I would recommend staying away from this lawyer if you can. It seems he just wants your money and doesn't care what happens.

Atty. Roman did not represent me competently and diligently and did not earn her fee. Atty. Roman committed a criminal act in my presence; I rode with her to my first court hearing and she hit a parked car while she was parking then proceeded to say as we were walking away “I’m going to Pretend like I didn’t do that” I would never have assumed a lawyer could be capable of such disregard and shameless conduct. She said things to me such as “Please just sign the document and stop trying to add or change language” I never received a thank you, any inquires if was satisfied with services rendered etc. At no point in time did I feel like Attorney Roman negotiated in my name or on my behalf, advise or represent me efficiently in court, and before the GAL, communicate effetely, proficiently, or professionally, conduct research into the information provided to her and analyze provided information, nor did she interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for me to understand or advocate for me whatsoever. Attorney Roman certainly had no problem taking my money and, in my opinion, charging me for the same thing over and over i.e., going over the same emails and attached documents she had previously charged me for going over, she also had no problem charging me for all the "work" she had to do after her self-admitted mistake when she mis informed me during our settlement discussions. I had to pay Attorney Roman thousands of dollars, depleting my savings for email correspondences, phone calls and mistakes.

Jason helped me a lot through every aspect of hearings, arraignments, options I had, and what the prosecutor was likely going to present. He asked me for all paperwork necessary through my treatment to present to the judge to help with my case. All details considered in my case, I was given minimal time on the bracelet and all other charges dropped. I would recommend Jason for any criminal charge because he is very thorough when explaining things, and answers any questions you may ask in depth. If you want a lawyer that will not fight for you at all, hire Greg. Every step of the way in my divorce, all he did was take the easiest route to ensure an easy $30,000 in his pocket. I believe I had one of the more contentious divorces for Greg's firm and I can attest to his above and beyond stance. He spent many a long hour into the night emailing or talking with me on the phone to ease my anxiety from all that was being thrown at me by a very vengeful Ex. The Divorce lasted a very long time with numerous calls back to court by the Ex for years after. Greg stood firmly beside me and protected me, esp. when leaving the court...as I had a retraining order and my Ex was very volatile. I Highly Recommend Greg and his firm. Kim Zion was very knowledgeable, yet I had a very difficult time with her. I felt if I wasn't calling everyday nothing would get done. I had to constantly remind her of important information, resend photographs and had to make suggestions. I felt very stuck. She could never remember anything and felt as though she didn't take my case seriously, though it was a very serious case. I would call and not hear from her for weeks, which was not appreciated. she shouldn't have taken my case if she could not keep up with her work load. In the end I am glad we had an attorney, but I felt with a different lawyer everything would have been better communicated and the process would have gone faster.

On the date of the hearing, He told me he wasn't feeling well and in a hurry to go to the DR. after our hearing. He also stated that now he decided to move my disability date to 2 yrs instead of 4 to make things go quickly and insure a win since " winning is how he gets paid" so this " ensures he also receives a paycheck as well" I don't think Mr. Becker had my best interest at heart and I was just another check in the bank to him. Im sad, he seemed like a nice guy on TV.

J Koritzinsky seems very personable and helpful when talking to him but he is just another schmoozing lawyer who will do whatever it takes to get money in his pocket and keep his status and position. At the end, did not return phone calls, was very abrupt and rude on the phone, and not willing to "listen" to entire story, just kept budding in and "telling" me what happened and "what" I did, rather than LISTENING to the entire story. He gets paid by apartment owners to do the dirty work they don't want to do, and he is a pitbull in a golden retriever costume.

I had to file 3 or 4 complaints with the State Bar of Wisconsin in order to get him moving with a appeal case which he missed the deadline date for that... and with the lawsuit that he hasn't started like he said he would!? He wouldn't text me or return phone calls unless you file with the State Bar of Wisconsin.. I got the impression from him he was always worrying about his reputation not for his clients...

Worst in the business. I understand he was a public pretender but come on. Wouldn’t answer the phone or make any contact at all. Just went along with the DA. The judge actually made the recommendation of what the sentence should be.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.

Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:

More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
