Charles handled our bankruptcy in 2019. We were told that we could reaffirm our mortgage which we had never missed a payment on , and still have not. When we went to refinance this year we discovered he had never filed the reaffirmation paperwork he had said he would. He had assured us that while everything had to be incorporated in the bankruptcy that that would be reaffirmed as would our car loan that was also current. However, he sent someone in his stead to court and apparently left it up to that person to file the paperwork?
I have tried contacting him several times and have received no response. He only responded to one text saying that “judges don’t reaffirm real property.” I’m not even sure what that means, but that was NEVER part of the conversation we had before. He had assured us that it would be reaffirmed. Otherwise, we would never have gone this route. The fact that he has not returned three emails to help us address this with our mortgage company, four years later leads to my frustration. It does not show any of our payments for the last four years to the credit bureau! And we are stuck on how to reaffirm our mortgage. Very frustrating! I would not recommend going to this lawyer. We were handed off and the paperwork not properly filed and now no response at our request for help.

I don’t recommend her. She made me cry during two different phone calls with her. I thought she was supposed to be representing me. She told me it’s my fault I chose my ex to be the father of my children. She wouldn’t allow me to have opinions…I had to agree to things my ex wanted because she refused to fight for me. We lost my case in court after consulting with 6 attorneys, before I finally chose her, all whom told me I would win in court. Her attorney assistant did a better job than she did. I was very disappointed and didn’t feel that she fought for me at all.

My ex relocated to the state of Arizona. Shortly after her relocation, my son was removed from her custody by DFS. I had to fly to Arizona from Kansas and hire an attorney (Kina Harding) to remove my son from the states custody and allow him to return with me to Kansas. Kina knew exactly what needed to happen, and how to go about doing it. She responded to every email and phone call almost immediately, and kept me well informed throughout the process. I was back in Kansas a week after hiring her, thank you Kina!

Called Wednwsday he was out on an “emergency” . He did call beck Thursday but returning his call I got voicemail all afternoon. Friday I called his voicemail in the morning. I called back after around 1230 and the secretary said he left for the day. I asked if was ever in the office. She said Monday. I spoke with Mr. Banta on a Friday afternoon. He said he would have to do some research over the weekend because he'd never run across anything like this before. We set up that he would contact me the following Monday.
I wasn't too worried when I did not hear from him that Monday. On Wednesday I called and left a message just to touch base. Still no call back.
The Thursday after I spoke with Mr. Banta I sent him a text message, again just asking for his thoughts (from the same number he had previously sent me a message from). Again no response.
Tomorrow it will have been 2 weeks since I first spoke with him and I still have not heard anything. I have begun contacting other attorneys.
You would think that if something happened there would at least be someone answering his messages, but after 2 weeks with no responce...I cannot stand poor customer service.

He was through and quick at getting all the paperwork done. He was very supportive and attentive. There was an odd incident after the adoption was final. When everything was done and we got our final bill it was larger than expected. When I inquired as to why he admitted he charged for items that we did not ask for or agree to pay for. He adjusted the bill but it was shady because he shouldn't have adjusted the bill without talking to us before.

If you are hoping that your attorney will be in the same room with you for your court dates and trials, think again. They video call in, usually late. Then they do NOT put on their video and it makes it pretty awkward especially for me as his client. The last time the judge was yelling at me to get my attorney on the line....
If you want to win, first get a second opinion besides these guys.
If you want to save money and go with a discount firm, they get you in with a low retainer but they charge you more then the big firms do by all their little tactics to get you to spend crazy amounts of money.

After a car failed to yield to the right of way and my fiancé (now wife) and I had the misfortune of attempting to occupy the same space as the misguided driver it was at that point we were in need of representation. Ben and his assistant, Kaci, were incredibly helpful in informing us of how to proceed with the best care with a detailed road map of what needed to happen from the legal side of things. Once the initial detailed forms were completed we were given the opportunity to heal in relative peace. The updates and constant professionalism alleviated additional stress that would have otherwise been our burden to carry against the vehicles owner’s insurance company.
I don’t think there can ever be a full recovery from such incidents as there are so many intangible aspects of the accident that get glossed over. What was nice is that those aspects of the case were listened to and were incorporated as best as legally possible.
I felt heard, I felt cared about, and I felt supported throughout the process. The amount of detailed information and direction from the beginning gave a tremendous amount of confidence moving forward. This made an unfortunate situation into the best possible scenario possible and for that I am extremely grateful to Ben and his team.
