Made math errors while having all the detail that cost me thousands of dollars. Promised to meet me for the closing and never called. Then shared that the Judge made his decision and the closing wasn't important. I watched the other side press an outstanding closing and not leaving a stone unturned. He told me the Judge doesn't like you. Several attorneys later explained it had to do with the delivery and the closing is as important, LAZY!

I was very happy with my experience at FFLS. My now Ex and I went through Mediation with Laura and I was impressed by how simple and logical she made the process. All communications were timely, all instructions were clear and she really helped make what could have been a very difficult situation much easier by being great to work with.
I was so happy with the work she did to help us through the mediation process that I actually went back to the firm to help me with another separate civil matter. Once again, I was extremely satisfied with the representation I received. The case was not an easy one, and it took a lot of communication and coordination, but the quality of the attorneys (I worked with two including Laura) and staff at FFLS lead to a positive outcome.
The bottom line is that I would highly recommend Family Focused Legal Solutions -and Laura specifically - to anyone going through a divorce or other civil matter where legal representation is required. They are good people and they will work hard for you!

He not only put in the effort to make sure that I won my case but that I, who had no previous experience, understood what everything meant. I cannot thank Mr Ku, Kevin W. enough for his great due diligence on my case. He resolve my case within 2-months, an unbelievable time, base on many lawyers I talked before him. Best thing is that he did not promise me any time, he just delivered it.
After realizing that a con law firm was ripping me off for last 7 months with not clue of ending the case. Unable to see any light at end of the tunnel, I was heartbroken and clueless. With my faith on second chance, I started to look for a lawyer for second opinion. I virtually talked to 5 lawyers in the area, all of them offered 15 to 30 mins free consultation time, but none give me time to speak. It was time the layers used to collect my information and advertising their firm. Some of them even asked me to signup for follow up session or retain their office while on the phone!
My search for a layer stopped after talking to Mr. Ku. The only questions he asked me was “Tell me what happened?” I was given a time to explain my issue without interruption. My questions were answered with reasonable follow up questions. He listened and he heart me! I first asked him to review my case for a second opinion, but I changed my mind an hour later. I called him back to ask if can take over my case. As soon as Mr. Ku agreed to take my case, I fired my sloppy lawyer! That was my best decision of year 2021.

Terry Webb is a fantastic attorney. Her knowledge of the law and courtroom elegance is superior. Ms. Webb handled my case wonderfully, she always timely responded to telephone calls and emails and most importantly she got me an outcome that I did not think was possible. I hired Terry for a DUI arrest in NJ. I am not a resident of NJ. Terry was very professional in her handling and explanations of the law and what to expect. Her fee was reasonable as well. It was thought that the officer (who was fairly new) had been overzealous in his handling of my tickets. Terry was able to find the right people to back this up, get the erroneous charges dropped, and handle the entire thing without me having to return to NJ. I could not have been happier with this attorney and her execution of this case and the process. I highly recommend her!

I was facing serious criminal charges. I was emotionally wrought over all that had happened, including physical trauma inflicted by the arresting officer. I had interviewed several lawyers by phone, and two in person. None had much of a plan, except they thought charges could be reduced. THEN, I met with Terry. She not only was kind, caring and understanding, she was able to give me straight advice about what to do, AND she had a plan to get all charges dropped. ....The process took 7 months. The outcome? AMAZING! All charges were dropped, and my record expunged. I am so grateful for finding her. I am very happy with Terry Webb. High praise for her talented work!!

Mr Porfido and his staff were very knowledgeable and professional during my TRO case. He provided superior guidance, never sugar coating the situation. Mr. Porfido cane highly recommended to me by another attorney when I found myself in need of representation in Federal court. I was told that James was very knowledgeable on the compexities of navigating the US District Court process, and I quickly learned that this referral was solid advice. Not only was I impressed by his legal skill and knowledge, it was also apparent to me through this process that he was recognized and highly respected by his peers, and so many others in the legal community. My wife and I used Brian and team for our real estate transaction for our first home. As first time home buyers, my wife and I were very nervous about this process as we had never bought a home and have had some friends who had awful experiences. Brian was so on top of the situation, and never went a day without checking in with us. He was free for late night phone calls as well since my wife and I work during the day.
In the end, I have two main takeaways aside from what I listed above:
1. Trustworthiness: Brian doesn't sugar coat the good, bad, and ugly. The home buying process is full of ups and downs and Brian will be sure to be honest and make sure you are informed.
2. Negotiation skills: Brian got us way more than we expected after inspection and advocated on our behalf to the seller. He has done this a million times so understands when you are in the driver's seat and when you shouldn't be so aggressive.
I will remain as a reference for Brian as I was so impressed by his services.

I have worked with Brian on a case for over a year. During this time, he has been available/reachable at all times day/night/weekends for any of my ridiculous questions or anxieties in the middle of the night. He has given me scenarios with various options in which things could hypothetically work out. He was diligent and strategic with all things related to the case. His colleague Lisa Marie is also amazing to work with, so friendly, quick to respond and knowledgeable. I came on here 6 months ago confused, hurt, and looking for help when my husband who walked out on us 3 months prior filed for custody of the children. My husband was abusive verbally, emotionally, and physically but I unfortunately had very very little proof. He is extremely narcissistic, and I honestly never thought I could escape him, even after his leaving he continued to haunt me by trying to snatch the kids I worked so hard to protect from him just to hurt me (knowing this is my weak point) to make matter harder, I couldn't file for divorce because of religion, which he knew exactly how to use against me. I am saying all this just to show how completed this case was, but Sarah Jennifer Jacobs (with JacobsBerger in Morristown) was GOD SENT. And that's even an understatement. I came to her with my case and she was extremely understanding, empathetic, and knowledgeable. She took so much time studying my case and religion as to be prepared for this case. She answered emails regularly and promptly herself, even on holidays. Made sure I was comfortable with every step she took, stayed super late to make sure my papers that were submitted were to my liking, and even the day of trial, asked me to do the zoom from her office (so I feel more confident) and offered to get me lunch. She's a true human with a soul and not a money thirsty lawyer that just wanted to prolong my case so she can keep earning. She faced a "NJ top lawyer" that specializes in fathers rights, and she didn't even stand a chance against Sarah. She was strategic, knowledgeable, prepared, and have a hell of an oral argument that made the judge see right through the myriads of lies and fake evidence my husband had against me (because ofcourse he wouldn't settle and wanted to take it to the judge). She was able to capture 17 years worth of incidences in a precise written statement that made me cry reading it, because it was as she lived it with me. can't possibly say enough about this amazing lawyer and human. I honestly hugged her after the trial as if she was my angel that gave my kids back. I promise I am not exaggerating here, if you've even dealt with narcissistic, you know how horrific that experience is, and to have a lawyer that as good as Sarah, made this almost easy.

Like any divorce, it's never easy. You win some, and you lose some... but ultimately, in divorce, everyone loses. When you have an attorney, that is kind hearted, genuine, and that has good morals, it makes the process easier. There were times, and are still times that I call just to vent... Despite family law not necessarily being her niche field of expertise, Yolanda took on my child custody case. I had to leave the state just days after meeting with her due to military relocation. Other lawyers told me it would be just about impossible to resolve the case if I was in the military and out of the state. Yolanda agreed to be my advocate in the state and fight for my right to gain custody/visitation with my child. I paid my initial retainer and she quickly set me up with the proper documentation to begin the process. Even though she is busy, either her or her staff were always available to ask questions or follow up with. She dealt with the defendant in the case directly, as well as her representation. When the case went to court the judge decided not to hear it and and sent the lawyers out to agree on terms. We could not agree on custody/parenting terms in 8 years so why would that day in court be any different? When we could not come to a mutual agreement, the case was dismissed by the court. I was devastated and it seemed like every door was being slammed in my face. Yolanda did not give up. She re-submitted the motion to the court the eventual resolution was legal joint custody of my son.
I could not have done it without her help. This case took over a year to resolve. She submitted more than one motion to the court and spent countless hours over the course of the year. Yolanda made me a promise to see it through when she first took the case, and that's exactly what she did. Although she could have easily done so, she never charged me a dime more than the initial retainer we agreed to. Other lawyers have charged me $75-150 for an initial consultation just to tell me there is nothing they can do! Yolanda showed a genuine interest in helping me, and that's exactly what she did. I owe her a sincere debt of gratitude and appreciate her for not being like a lot of the other greedy money-hungry attorneys out there. Yolanda and her staff could not be more honest and caring. Mr. Sterlin is one of the most impressive and well rounded attorneys I have ever come across. In 2017 he assisted us with my wife’s immigration from China. The federal immigration policies are confusing, drawn out, and frustrating to say the least. However, Mr. Sterlin made the process seamless and he kept us well well informed on status of the case. I had a previous divorce attorney before hiring Mario. After exhausting my entire retainer and always feeling like they worked for the other side, I started my search for a new attorney/firm.
