Arthur Raynes was referred to my husband by a neighbor who worked for an attorney. My husband had an employment issue that had to be addressed. The attorney who our neighbor was employed by did not handle work related law. That attorney referred us to Art Raynes. Lucky day for us!
At the initial meeting with Mr. Raynes he made us feel very comfortable. He listened to what we told him and was very honest with his answers. Ours was not a big case for him but he decided to accept it anyway. Another lucky day for us!
During the following negotiations and mediation we were kept informed every step of the way. Eventually the case went to mediation and we went there with Mr. Raynes. There is no other attorney that we would have wanted to spend an entire day in a mediation room other than Arthur Raynes. Again, he was supportive, concerned, and caring.
The entire staff at Art's office were so easy to work with- always polite, friendly and helpful from day one.

My interaction with Art Raynes came in a circuitous fashion. I encountered a situation with my employer that resulted in the suggestion that I consult with a lawyer and financial advisor. The financial advisor was easy. I had been working with a man I trust for a few years already. The lawyer was another matter – especially for this specific situation. Through a recommendation from my financial advisor, I contacted an attorney who advised me that he only represents corporations, not individuals. I asked him if he had any recommendations for some one representing “the other side”. He immediately gave me Art’s name, firm, and location. He commented that Art and he were on opposite sides during a recent encounter. He added that Art represented his client well, was fair, and reached a satisfactory result for that client. This was, in my mind, one of the best recommendations for an attorney I could receive.
Art’s advice and guidance throughout the time of my situation with my employer was clear, honest, supportive, and, at times, comforting. He helped me to maintain my perspective, composure, and wits when it seemed to me that all was being violently tossed about in space. His no nonsense approach worked well for me; and, it was a pleasure to observe him employ his skills on my behalf. All of this was in evidence from my initial handshake and conversation with Art until my last conversation and handshake.
I am pleased that this episode in my life is now in the category of a experience along with lessons learned. I am pleased to have had Art’s professionalism and empathy on my side from beginning to end. I am also pleased that I am able to offer kudos and thanks for Art Raynes and his work on my behalf. He is tops on my list if ever I am asked for a recommendation for an employment lawyer to represent an individual.
Maybe even better than my recommendation is discovering that a recommendation for Art’s work to an individual was forthcoming from the opposition in my case…. My only regret is that I cannot give Art more than 5 stars. I just cannot say enough good things about Art and his team. He and his associates are professionals in the truest sense of the word.
I was terminated from a job after I complained about sexual harassment by another employee. I went to another lawyer first who asked for money, wrote a couple of letters, let the insurance company manipulate him and then told me he needed more money. I was very frustrated, didn't want to give up, but didn't really trust him to do the job.
I found Art through a search of 'Jury Verdict Review and Analysis'. I found a case that seemed similar to mine and Art was the plaintiff's lawyer. Most lawyers would not let me walk in the door or even talk to me over the phone without handing over a ton of money. Art talked to me. He listened to me carefully, looked at all my documentation and got back to me promptly. He did more in the first month than the other lawyer did in a year. He explained everything that he was doing, asked for my input, and was always direct with me. If you've ever dealt with a lawyer who takes the case but then barely seems to remember who you are, you will find Art a breath of fresh air. Art FOLLOWED UP. Constantly. My case would never have settled as quickly as it did without Art and his firm.
First of all, Art filed the lawsuit right away (which my other lawyer neglected to do) and he did it in a way that really got the attention of the defendants. The defendants dragged their heels every step of the way and Art stayed on them like a pitbull. He deposed EVERYONE that needed to be deposed. He did not cut corners. He did not allow the defendants to push me around.
I would also like to say that I am not the type of person who is easily impressed. If I go to a doctor I'm the type to Google a diagnosis, research a medication, get a 2nd opinion, etc. The situation I went through with my wrongful termination and harassment caused me to mistrust more people than ever. But I honestly would trust Art and his firm completely. Not only did Art get me a very nice settlement but he and his firm really gave me back my life, and I don't say that lightly. If you are lucky enough to get this man or his associates to represent you, you can sleep well knowing you have the best on your side.

Brooke Hern handled, and won, my disability case; he is an excellent attorney! He took the facts of my disability and made the private insurance company understand that I was, in fact, not able to work. He did this with a determined focus, never letting up. He communicated with me on a regular basis, making certain that I was informed about what he was doing, and why, and what he expected to happen. This alleviated my anxiety that I would be denied the disability. He talked directly with all of my physicians; this helped immensely by assuring the physicians knew what the status of my application was and how he was approaching the claim. This encouraged the physicians to respond in a meaningful way when Brooke needed information from them. Each of my physicians commented to me that it was a pleasure to work with Brooke. They said it was always clear that he had my interest in mind, and commented on how professionally he approached his work. Brooke was very up front with me about how long the process could take to resolve. His pursuits never faltered; I am so glad that I have Brooke Hern “in my corner”. His success makes me the winner.

I hit 3 parked cars and flipped my own car landing on my driverside door all right in front of the Hoboken Police Station so as you could imagine all the cops came to see!. I was charged with a DWI and Since this all happened in a company car I knew i was going to lose my job. Not only did Robert prolong my case for about a year giving me enough time to find a new job, but I only got 3 months loss of license and the minimal fines. Amazing lawyer, if he can pull this off then he can do anything.

I am a single woman with 2 minor daughters & my ex & I had been separated for 3 yrs. He had finally filed for divorce. Candace is a excellent lawyer with a great staff that support her and her clients. When I first came to her I knew nothing about divorce or what I was getting ready to do. I explained to her my situation and that my first priority was protecting my children. She did not sugar coat anything. She explained the cost and how long this could take with this being a hostile divorce. She was spot on in the end with cost and time. She was very responsive always took my calls if she could or returned them quickly and the same with emails. When going through this kind of divorce you need to deal with lots of different people from therapists to investigators and real estate people and everyone in between. She knows them all and helps you find the right one for your case. When you start learning about divorce law in NJ it can make you very angry especially if you are the main earner in the house. Candace was very good at letting me vent my frustration with the law. Then she would calm me down and explain carefully to me what I need to do within the law to get through this divorce. It was kind of funny looking back at some of the simple things she did that got me through this. While meeting with a mediator she could hear in my voice or see my posture change and she would grab hand and give it a lite squeeze basically getting me to be quite before I said something I would regret. She came through for me and I got to keep my boys and as a bonus I got to keep the house. She worked with me the whole way through in all aspects of the divorce.

Unfortunately, I sustained personal injuries from a pedestrian hit and run; however I was fortunate enough to have been recommended to work with Michael P. Burakoff.
