I have worked with Joseph Freda for over 6 years and can say that he is without question a top notch attorney and client advocate. I had a very difficult and long divorce. My ex was an attorney in his own practice and represented himself, which made it that much worse. I had spent over 100k in legal fees with a firm who did nothing for me, but run up my bill and battle my ex over things that were irrelevant to the divorce. Three years later, I still had nothing and wasn't any closer to getting the case resolved. I hired Joe to take it over, based on a referral from his former adversary. Joe wrapped it up in a matter on months! He's a no nonsense guy with the patience of a saint. He was on top of everything - always returned phone calls and emails promptly, and did whatever he could to get this done. He knew my case backwards and forwards within a very short period of time. I know I was a little unreasonable at times with some things (and he let me know when I was being an idiot) and I don't feel like I got the lion's share, but I did get a fair settlement and a far better one than I would have had I used my prior attorney who wasted my time and money. I would definitely recommend Joe to anyone who needs a great divorce lawyer. I'm sorry I didn't find him sooner.

After having been passed around from the LEAD attorney in the firm and assigned to several paralegals, being emotionally and financially beaten up by my exhusband. I felt like I was getting the same treatment, neglected and dismissed by the lead attorney I hired. Also being charged for every period, paragraph and phone call. The lead attorney, knowing what my financial situation was, didn't care and only wanted to know how I was going to pay my legal fees. I felt like it was all about the money, not about the person behind the case. I was so fortunate to finally have the opportunity to be assigned to Joseph Freda. Mr Freda, in my opinion , happens to be a superior, very well trained and dedicated family law attorney. He was a true gentleman who showed compassion by always being available day or night on his personal cell phone to be there for support and hand holding. Besides the fact that he was a superior litigant by having knowledge of the law, and my case details, he also, was able to articulate all of that information into precise briefs which were essential to enable me to achieve an extremely favorable outcome. He wasn't afraid to challenge my advisory or even the judge assigned to my case if he felt that I was being taken advantage of. Mr. Dunn answered our many questions about how underage drinking could adversely affect our teens. He also addressed the legal consequences for parents who allow or encourage their children and other children to drink in their house or on their property. You'd hire the best heart surgeon, I'd count on Bob Dunn if I needed the best attorney. In a critical situation, his years of experience can make a major difference in the outcomes. Bob consulted with our parents group on issues with teen drinking, parents hosting, and the consequences. He opened our eyes about our responsibilities and how we can help our teens stay safe. He's a great speaker and his presentation made a real impact. All parents and teens should hear what he has to say and benefit from his knowledge. He shared his experience so that we wouldn't have to hire him if the future. That's a great attorney.

It is truly sad to see someone completely driven by money. If you are at your most vulnerable, I do not recommend that you work with this woman. She is incapable of feeling compassion. While she knows the law, her objective is to charge billable hours, not to fight for you. When was her last 5 star review? Why are all the negative ones anonymous? I suggest you keep looking. There ARE good lawyers out there that will be passionate to represent you.

Antonietta Milelli is an accomplished, experienced, competent, personable lawyer, that always has your best interest at hand. Did well in helping to execute my father's will. Neglected to mention that New Jersey has inheritance taxes that needed to be paid, so it cost me a 10% penalty for late filing. This counts as a fail in the basic service that I paid her to perform.

I am a small business owner in Essex County; about a year ago I was need of legal help with a partner/ estate dispute. Things got really bad when I was served with what amounted to having me sidelined from the business I had spent many years building. Being very afraid of losing everything, I decided to find the best attorney regardless of the price –after meeting with NJ’s top law firms it was suggested to me that I meet with John Fialcowitz (a much smaller firm then those I had met with). It turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. John has worked wonders for me. He has been extremely diligent, attentive, and has provided excellent guidance. I am still running my business and I am very confident I will continue to as long as I want to. I will highly recommend without reservation John Fialcowitz. His Billing practice are more than Fair, always explain all possible outcome to me.

We are small business in NJ and we hired him for a contract related dispute based on our other attorney's recommendation but unfortunately we learn his true personality during the middle of trial. He comes across as a good human being and very knowledgeable but unfortunately he lacks will, skills, experience and knowledge to trial the case. We learned very late in the case his tactic of preparing the case in great detail and racking up the huge legal fee but settle the case at the last moment so he does not have to trial the case. If you disagree with him then he’ll literally bully you (two days before trial) to settle case otherwise he will ask the court to relieve him as our attorney. We asked him to settle case very early on when other party was ready to settle, he literally prevented us and start preparing for the trial; even during the trial preparation other party came to settle and we ask him to get the further terms of settlement few times but somehow he ignored our requests and continue on trial preparation (and continue billing the trial prep hours) but at the trial he is forcing us to settle the claim when we see the clear advantage over the other party. We always paid him in advanced and he always had our retainer money. May be his methodology is to get as much fee you in the preparation (make you believe that you are going go for the real trial) and (not to settle at earlier stage but) settle at the last moment irrespective of client’s loss or gain.
