July 2021 while residing in Greenville, South Carolina, I was rear ended resulting in a roll over and totaling my car. As I laid inside of my car awaiting extraction, I knew I was going to need a personal injury lawyer as this was way more than a fender bender.
The morning after the accident I met my personal lawyer and while meeting with him asked if he knew of a reputable personal injury lawyer. He did: Mr. Joel Hughes in the law office of Kenneth Berger in Columbia, SC.
Mr. Hughes contacted me right away and met me at my house within a couple days. He assured me Berger's office does work all over the State of SC.
Immediately, I knew I was in good hands. Mr. Hughes questions were stop on and lots of information was exchanged in the next few days.
I was assured I could contact Mr. Hughes at any time, for any reason; something I did often.
Mr. Hughes took over, allowing me the time to heal and recover. He did all the heavy lifting, all the calls, organizing of medical records, all the negotiations. I was always kept informed. My input was asked for. My settlement was my decision. I was never pressured.
My case took 15 months to settle, basically until I was released from my Doctors. In that 15 months, I never felt ignored, alone, a number, or a paycheck.
Would I use this firm again? Of course. Would I recommend this firm to others? Of course!
An added bonus, this firm does charity work in and around Columbia. How nice is that?

I found myself needing a lawyer and luckily found Brad with Kenneth Berger Law Offices. I knew I was in the right place when he referred me to another firm for my immediate issues.
While the other firm handled my problem very very well, I did end up back with Brad to finish up an even more important part of my problem that I didn't see coming.
These guys ARE VERY MUCH here to help and are thorough on every aspect of your needs, even when those needs may be better served by another office.
They really mean it when they say they don't take just anybody on as a client, but once they do, you can rest assured that you are in the hands of the very very best.
There is not enough stars to give these guys and gals.

We purchased a home and used this attorney's office for our closing. Laurent and Autumn were absolutely amazing. From the moment that this office contacted us regarding our closing, Autumn was quick to respond to each and every email and every question I had. When I finally got to meet her in person she was just as friendly, kind and helpful as she was through all of our emails. Lauren was our closing attorney and she was simply put, amazing. She was friendly and so very knowledgeable. She led us through each document, took her time to explain it to us so that we understood things in South Carolina. I hired David Wells to represent me in my divorce after fourteen years of marriage. He was recommended to me by my co-worker that had complicated custody case. I am beyond pleased with my experience. Axlerod Associates took care of me. I was treated unfairly by State Police, after I had a car accident, where the officer asked me to do a breathalyzer, and I told him several times, I'll try my best, and due to my breathing issues, it showed incomplete sample. I asked him to take me for a blood test at the hospital, and the officer refused to do so. He put me in jail overnight, to be arranged, about I'm 18 hours later, stating that I refused the BAC , when I clearly did not.
I contacted the Axlerod Law firm, and they took care of everything.
In the end, I ended up with a fine, and a minor charge for reckless driving, rather than a DUI
.

I recommend Jackson and his team very highly for getting me through my bankruptcy! From my first appointment, where Jackson gave me a very relatable talk about what my options were legally and what I could do at that point (I chose bankruptcy), all the way through to the end, I always felt I could pick up the phone and call Abigail and ask questions at any time. Jackson and his team got me through the whole process and I hardly had to lift a finger. Just really nice people that you would be happy to deal with!

I hired daniel in February last year and took his advice in confidence and he seemed very professional and good at what he does. I had alot to lose in my divorce if things weren't handled correctly. He made up a general separation agreement for us to get started on sent it to my wife's attorney. There was only a couple of things that needed to be changed. Small changes on child support that me my wife both agreed on and that I would kept my property that I bought and paid for myself. I informed Daniel that we needed to move fast and get her the documents changes so I could lock in my house and those child support numbers we agreed on.Fast forward to November and still I'm calling begging him to send a counter offer with small changes. I ask for everything on my case and it was clear to me then that no other offers had been sent to my wife's attorney. So of course by this time my wife was very upset that no agreement for child support or anything was in place still. Even had her attorney complaining in writing and wanting to go to court for lack of effort done towards my case. I hired a new attorney and had to take a really bad agreement because at that point we had a court date within weeks and she asking for way more at that point and rightfully so. I quickly realized the quick response and work on my case by new attorney that I was set aside. I ask Daniel for a refund because he only did one thing on my case in that amount of time and how it affected me. He response was I didnt pay him for a contested divorce so he did me a favor and cut me a deal.i hope noone else has to go through that with Daniel or any attorney because divorce is hard enough as it is. I dont know what was going on that he could never send any offers and work on my case. I got told alot of times by him that he would have it next week.Then I would call for days no response. I had alot of stress and anxiety, getting done like that over and over. I would not recommend Daniel in a divorce case if he needs more money to work on your case he needs to tell you so you know nothing is being done. Not recommended.

Looking back at the service and the great rapore that I had with attorney Bledar Gora. I regret to say, I may have made a rash decision in letting go of a Good Lawyer. Foolishly I wanted things done yesterday. I should have been more patient and listened too an expert in this field of service. Sothe next time you choose a lawyer and you feel you have a good relationship with that person do not jump to conclusions. Trust your gut feelings. He is an honest lawyer who cares about his clients and does not take you for granted. So I truley recommend him for any future problems you need help with.

So when I got a contract on it in March and a new closing attorney started to process the closing she couldn't without the document. Now it has been found at the originating bank and we are set to close mid May. I want to especially thank Thomas Stanley attorney who was the closing attorney for delaying my closing and my life for 2 months! Don't come back saying I chose you because I didn't. Realtors usually guide their clients to a closing atty. Your lucky the buyer's didn't back out if they had I would be suing you for the full amount plus damaged and pain and suffering.

I recently sold my home and the buyers used them. They did not have my check ready the day of closing, and still do not have it the day after closing! They are in no hurry to get it to me and refuse to give me any information. As of writing this, I have no idea when I will get paid for the sale of my home. Tomorrow is a holiday and then it will be the weekend. I have bought and sold multiple homes in the past and have never dealt with this kind of unprofessionalism! There were other issues prior to closing as well, I never received my closing documents ahead of time. Meaning I never saw these documents until the actual closing! It is required by law that HUD closing statements be given to the buyer 3 days prior to closing, but Dusenbury and Clarkson never finished writing up these documents until the evening before closing, and never sent it to my lawyer until the afternoon of the closing. My lawyer even complained about how awful they were to deal with. They are slow, unprofessional and incompetent.

Lester & Lester is now Hutchens Law Firm. We had a real estate closing handled by this office, January 31, 2019. While we were able to close, it was only because our realtor and we put forth the effort required to have things in order. They performed all necessary work for title transfer but that’s about all they did. We weren’t given any of the necessary information needed until we asked. Meaning, with our realtor’s help, we were doing the thinking. As a result we had to make a last minute, out of town, eight hour trip to initiate the transfer of funds. They did, upon our request, refund part of the their closing fee to cover expenses for the trip. While they were courteous, their lack of client care bordered on the unethical.
Do not use this firm for your real estate closing!

Dickey Lester is a personable man in a very nice office but I cannot recommend him. We hired him to review the mortgage documents prepared by the buyer's attorney but found that we had to do the legwork all the way through the closing process. Our agent told us that the terms were a legal matter but the senior paralegal said that that was his responsibility. Then it was our responsibility to get the title insurance policy but the issuing attorney's office said that Lester's paralegal needed to contact them. The closing went through on time but when I received the original promissory note and mortgage, there was a discrepancy between the two. The buyer's attorney prepared them but neither he, his paralegal, Mr. Lester nor his paralegal caught the error. I wrote a letter to Mr. Lester and spoke to him with my concern about having to do all the work but he told me that I was not "harmed" and he therefore would not refund the legal fees I had paid at closing. If I had been harmed, I could have sued him but I felt I was due a refund since I did not get the service I paid for. Find someone else who will read your documents.

I was a stay at home mother for over twenty years and received no alimony I was also suffering from depression anxiety and had many suicide attempts as well as suffering from fibromyalgia pain. I tried to leave mediation when she told me I wouldn’t receive alimony knowing my financials that I was incapable of paying my monthly bills.I told her I was leaving mediation and her and her mother were yelling at me that if I left I would get nothing ! She promised me she would get me disability, her father at the firm was a disability attorney. I was mentally beat up from the abuse my ex husband put me through during the divorce and I gave in! Worse mistake of my life!! It’s now years later I was told by her afterwards her father couldn’t get me disability I’m in pain every day and can’t pay my bills my charge cards are at their limit because I have been having to live off them since I left my ex husband who was having an affair and living with his paramour and was saying I was the one having an affair! He tormented me mentally having Private investigators follow me everywhere for two years entering my business and my home, she did nothing about it! He moved his girlfriend into my home with my children when we weren’t divorced yet. She was my cleaning lady. She would do nothing to help me get her out! She was buddy buddy with his attorney and did absolutely nothing for me except put me in a position I can never get out of!! I will never forget my first meeting with her and she said to me they are claiming you are unstable! I replied if you have been through everything I have been through you would be unstable as well! No compassion no sympathy she judged me that first meeting! My life has been hell ever since! Everything she said to me and what she would do for me was a lie!! Stay away!! I would never want anyone to end up like I did because of a incompetent attorney!!
