Gary is an amazing attorney. He was actually referred to my family from a different attorney who does the same work. When the other attorney heard what we were trying to accomplish, he said we needed to call Gary because he is the best and he is absolutely correct! We were able to quickly get a guardian/conservator in place and he certainly turned a very difficult, stressful situation into a manageable one. After completing work for the counties they did not pay us for the work yet we were being taxed for it and subsequently end up falling behind. I would classify my divorce as really messy. But it didn't start that way. My ex wife and I entered into a decree together by agreeing to what anyone would deem as a good deal for both of us and then within a few months she wanted more, like a lot more. She wanted my pension, more alimony, more child support (which I already was deviating UP) and that is just to name a few. Basically she wanted to have a "take me to the cleaners party' So without knowing anything about him I hired Jonathan Brooks. I was worried because I had actually gone above and beyond to take care of my ex even though two of our daughters were living with me. And had I lost the case it would have really hampered my ability to live. What worried me the most is that I kept great records and I needed a lawyer who could understand exactly what I was saying --- No I didn't hide any money and here is my proof. No she agreed to not take the pension and here is the proof. No her claim of not knowing anything about the finances is wrong and here is why. Yes she had access to all the finances despite her sayings she didn't and here is the proof. Yes she is lying about this and this and this and here is the proof. There was a lot for my attorney to learn and I mean a lot. But he was thorough with his notes and that is what I needed. Someone who could make the judge understand what I knew. I had three priorities 1) keep the alimony the same 2) keep my pension 3) keep the financial arrangement the same. Due to Jonathan's hard work the judge denied my ex wife's motion for a new trial and I won my case. We went to mediation on a few minor issues and I was totally happy with the result of those. In a nutshell I thought I won in a landslide. My lawyer was just better than her lawyer. I would be willing to speak with any of you if you have a question and I am sure Jonathan knows who I am so if anyone asks for a reference from this post and goes through Jonathan i would be more than willing to give you more information but because of what I do for a living I am going to keep this post anonymous. But to close I was completely satisfied with the results I had using Jonathan Brooks and you would be wise to consider him for your divorce.

Wow, where to begin. This case was the first time I was ever a defendant. Scared of not knowing what happens, I reluctantly found Mr. Moore. I cannot stress enough how much John Moore did for me in a time of crisis, frustration, fear and stress. From the minute I called his office and talked to his partner, they were both very responsive, friendly and started looking into my case right away, before even meeting with John in person.
During my initial meeting with John I was a complete wreck. I was nervous, embarrassed, about to cry, and my mind was all over the place. From the very beginning of him offering me water and walking me to his office, I already felt better knowing there was NO JUDGEMENT and that he really just wanted to listen to the details of what had happened during my free consultation.
John was very friendly and easy going, and didn't have that "cocky" lawyer appeal I had seen before and didn't like might I add. He was very honest with the fact that I did, indeed, need a lawyer and that it would be expensive but that he would charge way less than other "big name" lawyers. He gave me the time to shop around and said to contact him if I decided to move forward with him as my representation with absolutely no pressure.
He was exactly right! I went to 3 other lawyers and he spot on about the price (competitors being anywhere form 3-6k more)! Not only was the price at others TOO high for me to afford or pay, but the environment and personality's of the others I visited were dreadful. One was a complete salesman and then asked me for 10k, another was basically falling asleep during my consultation and then said, "well, there isn't much I can do," and the third was so unmemorable that I can't even recall anything about him!
While money was a factor in choosing the right lawyer, I am a big "gut instinct feeling" type person, and knew that I would ultimately choose the person who best resonated with me! I feel lucky and blessed, because not only was that person John, but he was the most affordable as well. I truly believe it was destiny for me to find him.
Specifically, once hired, John kept me in the loop at all times and more importantly- did everything I needed him to do. He asked the right questions, gathered all of my information, handled the court dates and mostly, kept me calm. I kept asking him if there is anything I should do, or how worried should I be? His response was always calm and with a smile, "Don't do anything and don't worry... you really don't have to worry." This was so hard to hear because I WAS worried. Worried about my future, going to jail and just in general, was a big ball of stress. He totally helped calm me down and even assured me it was okay for me to cross the US/Mexico border to go on a retreat I had already planned! Not only did he tell me to go, but he told me to have a great time!
About my case, he handled it well... beyond well... COULDN'T HAVE GONE BETTER! I was charged with a Felony 4 for a first offense shoplifting case. I was so afraid of reading about my future and what being a "felon" would do to my life. Not only did he get it dropped to a Misdemeanor, but he also pushed up on the prosecuting lawyer to allow me to take the shoplifting diversion program, in which once completed, the case would be closed. Oh happy day! He did it and all I had to do was show up to court, plead "no contest" and then agree to complete the diversion program, which I did within two weeks!
In my opinion, John went ABOVE AND BEYOND what he had to. I learned more in his free consultation than the other three free consultations combined! In conclusion, if you are looking for a lawyer I CANNOT stress enough how perfect John is for the job! While he was my criminal defense lawyer, I am confident that whatever your legal issue he could help and do so with confidence, a smile and grace! He was honestly the best person to help me navigate around a legal system I know nothing about! You will not be sorry if you need to hire him for any reason!!!

I cannot even begin to describe the gratitude I have for Steven Meyerand. As I am sitting here a free man looking forward to every waking moment with my family. He and Jared are an amazing legal team to have on your side. I was charged with a class 3 felony for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon which carries a minimum prison sentence of 5yrs in Arizona. I did not do what I was being charged with but I made some critical mistakes in not fully cooperating and antagonizing law enforcement on the night of the incident. I was completely guilty for contempt of deputy but not for what I was being arrested and charged. Needless to say when the State refused to let the case go we went to trial. The trial took 3 horrible nerve racking weeks to get through with hours upon hours of testimony. His guidance and reassurance during the trial helped me and my family get through this trying ordeal. At the end of it all he convinced the jury I was Not Guilty. Arizona does however have what is called lesser included charges, which for this case was a class 6 felony for Disorderly Conduct with a Deadly Weapon. The lesser charge if found to be dangerous would have been a minimum of 1.75 yrs in prison. I was found Guilty for the lesser charge but since he convinced the jury it was non-dangerous it was left as an undesignated felony with 3yrs probation, which means I can work to get it reduced to a misdemeanor. See! that is how amazing he is, I know all of this now because of his commitment, knowledge and professionalism to making me understand my rights and options. Steven guided me through every phase with a full understanding of what was happening with honesty and integrity. I feel this was the best possible outcome short of a full dismissal and I have him to THANK.

Adam and the DM Cantor team were incredible in handling my DUI Case. It was my second time getting a DUI and the team was successfully able to get my case down to a first time offense. I ended up with a first time fine, home detention and ultimately a reduced penalty in the State of Arizona for a second-time offense.
The result of my case was a very favorable considering that a normal second time DUI requires a minimum of 6 days in jail and 24 of home detention and more significant fines and fees. I can't express my gratitude to Adam and the DM Cantor team enough. I would recommend them to anyone.

Jimmy D. Rohde is the best attorney I have ever worked with and I was so fortunate to find him.
I was overwhelmed trying to settle my mother’s estate she died unexpectedly, witout a will. I don't live in Arizona, so I had to find an attorney who could help me “long distance”. After making numerous phone calls, I found that most attorneys either didn’t want to tackle my particular situation, or they wanted money up front before they would talk to me, I found Jimmy Rohde.
My first “meeting” with Jimmy was by phone. I had so many questions to ask i.e. where to start, what can I do and not do etc? He immediately seemed to grasp my situation, and explained things clearly and thoroughly. I never felt rushed, nor did he limit the number of questions I asked.
After the 1st phone call, I knew Jimmy was the person I wanted to consult. When I flew back to Phx. to meet with him, Jimmy took the time to understand the "difficult dynamic" that is my family. He was 100% professional, but exuded a warmth and friendliness, that made me feel totally relaxed during that meeting. He displayed an exceptional level of expertise and provided me with clear explanations. He encouraged me to ask questions, no matter how insignificant or simple I thought they were. Since I'm out of state, I wasn’t sure what papers of my mother’s I needed to keep vs. what to get rid of, so at that 1st meeting I brought a box "filled with folders". Jimmy didn’t say a word, he just looked over the “mounds” of paperwork (most of which he probably didn’t need to see), and gave me sound advice. He asked detailed questions, and then gave me several options on how to proceed. He explained everything in terms I easily understood. I left feeling well informed and having a clearer direction of how best to proceed.
It was clear from the onset that Jimmy was very knowledgeable and truly wanted the best for me. After the estate was "settled", family (from another country) entered into the scene. I was ruffled and emotional. Again, Jimmy was a Godsend. He was calm and empathetic while remaining professional. Jimmy's legal experience, along with his warmth and kindness, gave me hope at a time when my options appeared limited and the likelihood of a good resolution seemed next to impossible. He went above and beyond his obligation, and I couldn’t have asked for better advice or services.
I know this is a long review, but it comes from the heart. I would recommend Mr. Jimmy D. Rohde to anyone needing a lawyer for probate and/or trust law without reservation.

My case was a contentious guardianship/conservatorship dispute, where some members of the family were trying to block my mother with Alzheimer's from getting memory care. Nancy was a life saver when our lives got turned upside down in a ugly real estate battle with a mentally unstable, unethical, crazy woman and her family. I don’t know what we would’ve done if we didn’t have Nancy! We are so grateful to have had her on our side while we went through this terrible situation.
It starts with my husband and I driving through our neighborhood in seeing the most adorable house with a “FOR SALE” sign in the front yard. We love it. We make an offer on it. They except it. We put our current house up for rent, we find a tenant she signs a lease agreement, she’s packing her bags getting ready to move in. We are about 2 1/2 weeks into the escrow process, we receive message from the sellers real estate agent that our seller has decided she doesn’t want to sell her house anymore. Yes, we know that real estate contract is a legally binding contract. Seems like she has to go through with it… Thing is, she simply will not cooperate now. Her mother gets involved calls our loan officer threatens him. The home appraiser needs access into the house, they won’t allow him access. They won’t reschedule. And they won’t give a reason for backing out. And we wanted to be agreeable, we’re reasonable people, but now we have nowhere to live we have already put our other house up for rent the only option for us was to hire an attorney. We end up hiring Nancy, and even though these people are crazy and unreasonable and become nasty she works it out! and we get our “dream house” after all.
