In September of 2010 I was falsely accused of " theft three", a misdemeanor crime, by my employer. At 50 plus years of age I had never been accused of any crime so I was scared and humiliated. My plea was of course "not guilty". After my first meeting with Lauren, I knew I was in good hands and that having her on my side was a blessing. My trial was in March 2011 with a jury of 6 and I was acquitted and all charges were dropped. I have Lauren to thank!! She is smart, resourceful, very knowledgeable, professional and an excellent litigator, but as important as these attributes are for an attorney, she also possesses a remarkable calm, confidence & kindness. Her preparation for trial was impeccable, her approach to my case brilliant and her demeanor in court was exemplary. I've worked with a lot of lawyers unfortunately but Scott is a pleasure to work with, knows his stuff and really gets things done. Where several other lawyers had called the case I brought him "too tough" and told me about all of its problems, Scott has fought hard and I've seen great results. Having a good team of lawyers with a range of experience in his office has also been helpful.

For anyone considering litigation to resolve an issue you’re having with a larger entity, do consider consulting Atty. Megan Lemire at Lemire & Hirano for some frank and practical advice. Her firm handled our civil case last year in Portland, and the matter was favorably resolved in roughly six months. The closure of the matter now allows my family to move on to bigger and better things.
But I have to mention that the process was nearly “painless,” thanks to our attorney’s familiarity with the system. Because of her prompt communications and follow up with us, we always felt in control. The defendants came a long way from pretending that we didn't exist and hoping that we'd just go away to apologizing and writing a couple of checks for our troubles.
Despite the mess that brought us toward the halls of justice, we emerged victorious, elevated and restored after our plan of remedy was devised and executed by the talented and wonderful Megan Lemire.

Kyle represented me on some criminal charges. He has a persistent and calming demeanor that played excellently with jury and with me as well. Kyle listened well, always explained the sometimes arcane law processes and also often took suggestions or recommendations from me. He was also consistently calm and reassuring during the stressful moments in the courtroom and before the trial. He handled the jury selection admirably and won acquittals on three of the four charges that I was facing--including the most serious of the four. Sadly, Heidi no longer works with Bennet Hartman, and is out of the Family Law business. When she was my attny, I had nothing but great things to say about her. She unfortunately came onto my case after the last hearing, but was extrememly helpful in navigating through the leftovers that my previous attny failed to complete. I retained Amy in the hopes of spending as little money as possible to respond to a vexatious 'implied' domestic partnership lawsuit against me. Bruce was hired for a case that should never have existed as the clients had agreed to arbitration. The co-defendant and plaintiff attorneys made a deal that encouraged the judge to move the case from arbitration to the courts. That could have been a distraction but Mr. Campbell handled the issue professionally and we ultimately settled the case for an insignificant sum compared to the original amount. Having worked with attorneys in the past, I was most impressed with Bruce's knowledge around securities and security regulations, his honesty regarding our chances (multiple plaintiffs), his willingness to listen to my thoughts and answer my questions, and his far thinking planning. In addition, I had the opportunity to sit through a number of court hearings and throughout Bruce was by far the best prepared. I often wondered 1)why the others were not prepared and 2)if they ever took a course in law school around presentations! Not once did Mr. Campbell or his team receive a negative word from the presiding judge (as others did). I firmly believe that because of Bruce's preparation, his delivery style, and his ability to argue a point, the cases were settled out of court for an amount less than we had estimated. If you want a smart attorney who is always prepared, who listens to your desires and is willing to be honest, and who wins then Bruce Campbell is that attorney. I ranked him an excellent in ever category and would without hesitation hire him again.

I had no idea where to turn until Ben Varadi agreed to look at my situation and my documents. I wanted a simple revision made to my beneficiary list but my last attorney left me hanging for months. From the first call to the last Mr. Hyatt was helpful and so was his assistant. They explained everthing to me and I didn't have to worry when it came to court that all my medical records were in my file. They are a small law firm but they get to know you and treat you like a person instead of a social security number.

Chris O'Connor was my public defender in Multnomah County, Oregon between 2007 and 2013. I was not able to afford a regular paid attorney, but let me tell you, you would not have known the difference. Christopher O'Connor is very passionate about what he does! Even though I was in a very rough spot in that particular part of my life I NEVER felt judged by him. I have fortunately got my life together since then, and let me tell you, I Have Experienced Plenty Of Public Defenders . . . . . NOT A SINGLE ONE have ever compared to my experience with this man!!! My name is Diana Saltvick and I first requested Mr. Andy Simrin to go over a summons I received from a man that had been incarcerated for years--the case was unclear to me and I of course didn't understand the legal aspect at all..So upon arrival to his office (then in Salem Oregon) he quickly and professionally went over the court summons and put me at ease with in moments..He said what I had was a simple case of a man that had nothing better to do behind bars then to cause trouble. So he accepted the case and proceeded to handle it every step of the way..Every statement sent to him by the courts or from him to the courts were sent to me ..within days of filing .
His ability proved to be of the utmost professional level in every aspect. I felt that Mr. Simrin never treated my case any different regardless on how it seemed to be to him a very cut and dry situation. The time and effort Mr. Simrin spent on my case was a very long and drawn out one to be sure. At times I felt as tho we were fighting a loosing battle due to the amount of appeals we had to endure and yet at the end of near a years worth of work Mr. Simrin triumphantly won our case hands down.. Mr Simrin never missed a beat in timely return of court papers and the full research of the case and all parties involved, Mr Simrin in fact knows his law and practice to the fullest.

I cannot recommend NWCL enough. When I decided to start my small business I wanted to find a local attorney (support small business!). I did a lot of research and kept coming back to NWCL. Their reviews were solid and something just felt right. I scheduled a consultation with Ramsey Chamie and within about 5 minutes of talking to him, I knew I found my guy. The process of starting and buying a small business can be a stressful, scary, and overwhelming task. Having an attorney who is calm, confident, funny, humble, intelligent, kind, knowledgable, well spoken and just an overall good person makes all the difference in the world.
