We hired 2 other offices in the past to do the case but they couldn’t do it. We finally came to this office from a recommendation of a friend and we were able to get the Green Card. Jeremiah was amazing, helping me with every part of my case. From my initial consultation I knew he was trustable, as he tried to assist me with resolving the matter on my own, saving time and money, which would have prevented him from gaining a client. Unfortunately the insurance company wouldn't budge, and I had to take legal action. From the moment I signed on with Jeremiah he took care of everything. Working with him and Phoebe was great, and they answered any question I had and took care of the difficult communications so I didn't have to. We had to go all the way through mediation and we prevailed! He helped get a much fairer award than the insurance company wanted to offer. I recently had the pleasure of working with Ross Law and Jerimah Ross as my attorney. Shawn and his firm helped me navigate through a difficult divorce. He was able to thoroughly explain the divorce landscape as it's handled in the state of Oregon. I found this very helpful since the majority of my life was spent residing in other states that handled divorces much differently. Shawn offered honest advice but was very understanding and compassionate while working out a settlement. With his vast experience I was able to draw up a settlement that was accepted by all parties and more than likely provided me a more favorable outcome than if I battled in court. I tried to talk to Nik a few times about a legal issue I've been going through with my employer. On top of this, I was wanting to discuss just my rights in general as an employee and other things. I had emailed Nik a couple times and he didn't respond but I was determined to have ONE lawyer in Portland talk to me as a trans person. I paid Nik $100 ahead of time and wrote up the intake form with info all about what I was dealing with and other issues I was seeing in the trans community. I wanted help and to get what info I could out of a one hour session to help as many people as I could. Nik refused to help because I hadn't met a criteria but he also didn't read or acknowledge any of the details or questions I added to the intake form. He just offered to refund me and did.
I just wanted help. I dont want to grieve more friends because of shitty employers. I did get fired while on leave. I also got threatened with a 10 page psychotic letter calling me uncivil. This work ordeal put me into an IOP due to a suicidal ideation in June and I can't get anyone but my spouse to care. That's why the suicide rate is 41% for trans people. I don't wanna add to that but when it feels like you have people who specifically represent LGBT clients they'd show some empathy for them. Idk. It doesn't matter. I don't recommend Nik.

I'm really not sure how there are even any negative reviews on here about Tom at all. There is not one thing in either of those reviews that even slightly resembles my experiences with Tom.
I initially hired Tom several years back to gain access to my daughter. Since my daughter's birth, her mother refused to let me see her. I was young and naive and paralyzed by the legal system. I have no idea how to navigate the courts and gain access to my daughter. I tried to file a motion on my own and could not even get the paperwork filled out correctly to get my motion into court and of course the court clerks cannot offer legal advice or make suggestions.
I didn't make good money and I had spoke with a few attorneys to get an idea of cost. I was quoted 15,000-25,000. One attorney wanted a $7,500 retainer and the other wanted $10,000. I was crushed.
I was referred to Tom by a friend and I had a consultation with him. He told me how he could help me and outlined a plan of action. He was very confident that he would gain me access to my daughter. The cost he estimated was much less than the other attorney's and quite frankly he seemed much more knowledgeable and competent than the other two attorneys I had met with.
The retainer is what really made this possible for me. Tom's retainer was very reasonable and allowed me to afford his services even with my lower income job. He went right into action and we filed for Custody/Visitation. I had questions all along the way and he gave me detailed and informed answers. As nerve racking as going court can be I was actually very confident with the whole ordeal with Tom as my council.
I was aware a healthy amount of parenting time and have a fantastic relationship with my daughter today. It was a rough go at first but it was the best decision I have ever made. I only wish I met Tom earlier.
Last year I called on Tom again for legal help. I was getting divorced and hired Tom to represent me. The whole thing was resolved in less than a month. I got to keep my house... if you know what I'm saying. I'm really thankful to have met Tom.
I've heaped enough praise on Tom. I also wanted to comment on his staff. His assistant Alex actually was very helpful during this whole process as well. I spoke with him on a few occasions when Tom was not available and Alex knew all the details about my case and had answers to many of my questions.
I don't leave too many reviews on the internet. Mostly because my time is important to me and I can think of 100 things I'd rather be doing, like riding dirt bikes with my daughter or going taking her fishing. Well, I wouldn't be able to do those things without Tom's help so I wanted to take the time to share my experience.
I happily recommend Tom Brasier to friends and family, and anyone taking the time to read this.

Recently, my old settlement had to be reopened and I hired a lawyer. What I learned from this new attorney is that I had learned very little from my first round with Mr Brasier years ago. When working with him he would get impatient when I had questions. He even left me a frustrated and unprofessional message about not having reloaded my retainer yet when I actually had (he just hadn’t communicated with his secretary). Years later, I’m finding out that my settlement is poorly written, a result of both attorneys involved, with ambiguities in the language that are creating problems for me and costing me more money. I’m learning from my current attorney about rights I’ve had all along regarding custody, tax credits, and child support that Tom never informed me of. My current attorney cares about informing me of my rights and giving me the information I need to make good choices. When I recently called Mr Brasier to ask a question about my settlement, he joked that he never remembers his clients. While this may be true, it certainly doesn’t seem like something worth saying out loud.

Tom picked up a pretty complicated case that didnt have a clear-cut winner.
He was overly patient and understanding. When he had a suggested course of action, he laid everything out and even gives you his very best guess of each outcome, with context. Tom explained each and every part of the process...
and he did it without ever being disingenuous with billing.
His assistant Alex is warm and inviting as well as efficient. Alex was always communicative when Tom wasnt able or necessary.
Tom was so good, cordial and timely that even the opposition preferred to communicate with him instead of their own counsel, and fired them.
Tom won my case the very best it could and it was because of the legal maneuvers he suggested. It delayed the outcome, it costed almost twice as much as expected... and Tom explained each and every reason why things resulted as such.
We won, I got exponentially more time with my daughter.
Tom is a man of his word and if you dont hire him right now, theres a chance youll see him at the other side's table... and I promise you, that is not an opponent you want to have.

I had a disappointing and expensive experience with Mr. Sollars. He frequently ignored my communications yet charged me for emails and calls that reminded him of tasks that weren't addressed or completed for extended periods of time. He often appeared stretched too thin and indecisive. Despite the ongoing reminders, there were long periods where no action was taken, yet he continued to bill. Overall, very little was accomplished, and I ended up with significant legal fees without the results I expected. He also advised some things that harmed my case. I would recommend looking elsewhere for legal representation. Now that my case is over, I’ll move on, but will be paying the financial and real life costs for a long time.

Yadira Ramirez is an excellent attorney. I was blindsided by false sexual assault allegations. Yadira was always calm, cool and collected. I felt she had my best intentions. She had a lot of patience when I got angry or upset because I didn't understand how the courts work, or how lawyers communicate with the courts, and also the laws. I felt more at ease once when she thoroughly explained how court proceedings take place. Although, I could not ever be fully at ease because of the implications in my case. We had evidence that showed my innocence. But even with that, I still felt anxiety because of how inconsistent the courts in America are. Yadira could have told me that I had a airtight case and that we were going to win in court. But she was honest and said that courts are unpredictable and that she can't guarantee a victory. Which I understand. But she also said that we do have good evidence and that would show favorably for me in court.
Court was set for a Friday, and on Monday my accuser decided she wanted a consent agreement. I did not know what that was, and Yadira thoroughly explained what it was.
The first draft of the consent agreement their attorney sent Yadira was bogus and unfair. Yadira told me to stand firm and not accept the terms. Yadira redlined the document an added language in my favor. Their side sent back another agreement, and Yadira once again said to stand my ground and not accept it...
So finally 2 days before we're supposed to go to court. My accuser and her attorney caved and gave in to our terms and a much more favorable consent agreement, which ended up in a dismissal of my accuser's restraining order against me...
I was extremely anxious and nervous the entire time, 3 months of absolute hell. Yadira gave me my life back and restored a little faith in the legal system. There are lawyers out there that 100% care about their clients and Yadira is absolutely one that cares.
I recommend Yadira for any legal matters regarding restraining orders.
