Bruckheim & Patel is the best DUI firm in the DMV area. If you ask around other attorneys, which I did, this firm is on the forefront of DUI defense and has a stellar reputation above the rest. Michael Bruckeheim is an amazing attorney and makes you feel like a friend rather than a client. I knew he was an excellent choice from the start as he spent over two hours on the phone with me on a Saturday morning. He was straightforward about all the possible outcomes of the case, which I really appreciate. He also gave me some courses prior to my court date which really helped my case. In the end, I had my charges greatly reduce and Mr. Bruckheim was a calming influence throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend Mr. Bruckheim!

All around excellent lawyer. Mr. Pasti was able to get me out of a potential dui situation, knocked down to a dwi with little to none extra consequences, and beleive me I have learned my lesson. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IN DETAIL: Getting a DUI is stressful. The night of the incident I knew I needed a lawyer. I was so devastated I asked my sister to do some online research and tell me where to go. This was my 2nd time and I thought my life was over. She found Michael and said this guy has 5 stars-go see him. I met with Michael and given my previous experience with attorneys he was one of the most laid back and coolest people I have ever met. His relaxed nature made me uneasy at 1st, but later I would find that I needed this to keep me calm. Michael recommended a series of tasks to complete as a back-up plan, just in case the non-guilty plea went out the window. He made sure I was able to drive until my case was heard.
The week before the trail I met with him and we reviewed the discovery information together including the tape. He gave me a topical overview of the plan but assured me he was ready to fight. The trial date finally arrived, and my stomach was in knots. His cool demeanor instantly made me feel better. The prosecutor wanted to give me a year of jail time after hearing wind of my prior. Michael smiled and said don’t worry. He was very realistic with me and said that there was a small chance that I could serve that sentence. Michael never lied during this entire experience. Somehow, he still felt hopeful.
He had several strategies for multiple scenarios and as the prosecutor maneuvered through the case, Michael was right there with her. The judge overruled him quite a bit, but this didn’t shake Michael at all. With his knowledge of the DUI laws and simply being born here, his technical arguments impressed the judge. At one point, I even saw the prosecutors look of amazement as she did not expect him to be so skilled in the case.
He was able to get the breathalyzer thrown out, from there it was a piece of cake. I walked away from a year sentence to having a ticket for 1 light out over my license plate.
If you are reading this review, trust me look know further for a DUI attorney. Michael will fight hard for your case no matter how the outcome may appear!

Mr. Michael is the true expert and the man of the men for practicing the law in DC area. I got into trouble for some case which I had nothing to do with and government put multiple charges on me without telling me details when they arrested me. Mr. Michael was there to help me and not only as professional lawyer, I felt that he had compassion toward me for what I got into and eager to fight the way out of this which made my whole case dismissed. I am so thankful to him and owe my life on him for this. Thank you so much for lending me the hand!

The outcome of my case was so favorable it’s almost as if she had scripted it!
Attorney Sei-Hee Arii has a 360 degree bird’s eye view of the legal system and the courtroom.I was facing very serious charges with almost certain jail time if convicted. I initially thought of defending myself but my family compelled me to seek council.
I reached out to Attorney Arii the day before my 1st trial date (don’t be like me, make contact now) and requested her counsel. She was extremely understanding, honest about the situation and the possible outcomes but above all VERY RESPONSIVE! I immediately knew I was in good hands and could trust her. Best decision I’ve ever made! In court she laid out a multi-point strategy that accounted for every possible scenario the prosecutor or judge could present and sure enough it went as she planned.
During court I witnessed someone with an almost identical case as mine (yet with a better driving record) be found guilty and sentenced to jail time, however Miss Arii got ALL of my charges DISMISSED! I contacted Mr Hoffman on behalf of company over a contractual dispute. The opposing party had developed a majority of their financial basis for indemnification on matters not relevant to actual contract law. Additionally, the opposing attorney had made numerous errors in their filing. What I’ve highlighted is just a small portion of what Mr Hoffman was able to point out quickly and change the direction of this discussion toward a mediation and a “reasonable” level to negotiate. I felt Mr Hoffman did what was in my companies best interest to make matters practical and not emotional. As a small business owner trying to get by, the last thing I want is to deal with nuisances of a frivolous lawsuit… having Mr Hoffman on my side certainly brought clarity and confidence how we could handle this matter without creating an unnecessary and complex trial out of this.
Another item to highlight is that Mr Hoffman was quick to return calls/emails. When I originally reached out, he answered his phone. Can’t say that about any of the other attorneys I inquired with and I reached to a handful.

Mr. Felsen was absolutely amazing! He went over and beyond his call of duty for me, ended up taking on an additional surprise case, and stepped in for my bond hearing.
