This guy used to be a prosecutor. He is very good at helping defendants prove themselves over the course of time patterns of behavior that a public defender just can't offer.
His drawback for me was that he was so busy and we had conflicting schedules, so it was difficult to maintain communication. Otherwise, he's an outstanding lawyer. Very good reputation in court from what I gather.

Jennifer helped our family when our father, who has dementia, was being mistreated by the hospital. The hospital staff would not allow any of the family to intervene or even access his patient records without a conservatorship in place. Jenna understood the urgency of the matter and put together the documents literally overnight. It still took a bit of time to get everything in place with the court, but Jenna kept us apprised of the process every step of the way. We can't thank her and her staff enough for their quick, compassionate assistance with what was a nightmare situation for our family.

Philip helped me with my DUI case. His rate was great compared to others and he took care of appearances with DMV and Superior court. He was able to reduce my sentence from 30 days down to 8 days (4 days with good behavior) which I get to serve in Sheriffs Work Program. He knows the judges and DAs and I would highly recommend him to others.

My Case was very complicated. Phil was kind enough to explain exactly what was done and also did what I asked. He went to the prosecuting attorney several times on my behalf to ask for a reduction. Even after hearing no over and over again he still asked. I don't know how he did it but somehow he got the reduction. if it wasn't for Phil I would have lost my job,

California is a difficult state to be a medical malpractice plaintiff. You're going to need the best and in my opinion, you could do no better than David Smith. Ours was a complex case, one which other attorneys had rejected due to all the difficulties of prosecuting medical malpractice in California. Once Mr. Smith agreed to take our case, he was like a bulldog! We encountered some serious obstacles and were up against a heartless insurance company law firm that tried to play some ruthless games and (in my opinion) shady legal maneuvers. But Mr. Smith was ahead of them at every step, even as they seemed intent on taking the case to trial. Ultimately, they came to realize that we had a tenacious pro on our side, and they settled.
What I can tell you is that I'm not a big fan of attorneys in general, but we really felt like we had a powerful and effective ally in Mr. Smith. It turns out he's a helluva nice guy too!

Deserves more stars, incredible lawyer and person
Was facing 6 years in Prison, for a Assault With Deadly Weapon, with Body harm enhancement in a self defense/unusual related case, Knocked down to 24 Months of probation.. we got him as our lawyer from a recommendation and saying it was a good decision would be a underestimate, he was amazing, talked with us and walked us through everything, great person to be around and a very likeable personality, let us know everything we needed and guided us on things that needed guidance on, was well worth the money, and worth the time, definitely recommended and easily a 10/10

As homeowners, we worked with Sean for nearly three years while he tirelessly represented us in a construction matter that left our home and property damaged, and a portion of it unusable. Mr. Meisner was thorough and insightful and did a great job advancing and settling the cases for my daughter and myself after a violent car accident.
He also provided preliminary paperwork and advice immediately that would prove helpful in assuring a smooth settlement.
He was proactive in keeping the case in motion, great in communication, and followed up after settlement to assure a proper close out. In short, he did an excellent job overall.

I felt awful when my former employer convinced the trial court to throw out my entire wrongful-termination lawsuit because it appeared that I did not have enough evidence. Things got even worse when my former employer asked the judge to order me to pay a huge sum for its fees and costs in getting a defense judgment.
It all seemed totally wrong when my trial lawyer basically said my case was over. She suggested that I should consider giving up my appellate rights in exchange for my former employer decreasing the amount of money that I was going to owe for fees or costs. I hated that idea, so I looked for an appellate lawyer.
When I called Brendan, he took the time to understand my case. He said he thought the judge misread my evidence and that I had good arguments to get my lawsuit back on track. He also explained the risks and expense of going down that road.
I decided to go for it and followed Brendan's recommendation to ask the trial judge to reconsider the judgment before filing an appeal. Brendan said the odds of a trial court reversing its own ruling in any case are very low, but it was worth a shot in my case. I was overjoyed when the trial court rejected the arguments my former employer made and actually reversed the judgment based on the papers Brendan prepared.
Instead of waiting a year or more for the appellate court to put my case back on track, Brendan made it happen within a couple of months. Better yet, the threat of having to pay for my former employer's costs and fees evaporated right away.
I felt that Brendan explained things to me clearly without any exaggeration. I believe his knowledge of appeals and his litigation and negotiation skills completely turned my case around and enabled me to get a great outcome.

My opponent's attorney in a probate case filed a motion to strike my petition, which the trial court denied. However, because it was a special motion to strike, my opponent was able to file an immediate appeal without waiting for a final judgment. This maneuver could have delayed the entire probate case for a year or two until the appeal was decided, but Brendan was a really strong advocate for me and my family and he stepped in and took aggressive steps to prevent the extended delay. At all times Brendan explained my options to me and kept me up to date about important developments. His efforts helped us to resolve the case more quickly, and I was pleased with his work and the results he helped us to achieve.
To be quite frank - litigation is awful. This case in particular was extremely contentious and exhausting. But Brendan was so kind and so smart, I could at least relax in knowing that I had good counsel. He is a brilliant writer and so skilled - I cannot recommend him highly enough.
