I started working with Misti around 2019 when she agreed to take on my case. I had been turned down by about 6 attorneys who told me that my case was not easy. I was super delighted when Misti agreed to assist me adjust my permanent status. Misti was straight forward, but also empathetic and caring.
I would also like to thank Mikaela for her support and expertise.
The journey/process was not easy but Misti and her staff were very professional and focused on the mission. Through countless meetings, calls, emails and correspondence, her and her staff were always on top of things.
I would especially like to thank Jacqueline Aleman who I worked with closely to provide mountains of documents needed for evidence. Alex Bajwa is not only an excellent lawyer but also a great guy. I am a member of his monthly business service and he has reviewed many legal documents on my behalf as part of his monthly service. What I like best about him is that he can break down the "legal talk" to my level so I can understand the situation. By him reviewing these documents before hand, he has saved me a ton of money and also a ton of headaches. As a member of his service, his rates are the lowest I have ever seen. He is approachable, easy to work with, detail orientated and his response rate is unbelievable. I can send him a text for emergencies and he has always gotten right back to me. I have also hired him outside the scope of his monthly service. I needed to add an existing partner to one of my businesses, and Alex opened my eyes to many things that I never would have thought to even ask. I also know several of his other clients and I know that they also extremely happy and impressed with him. J. Dudley kindly helped me resolve a case involving supposed 'damage' to an Avis rental car at DLH airport, and he was efficient, professional and timely in his response. Although I am sure it was a minor case for him, monetarily, it was a major headache and financial set-back for me when I received a claim after returning a rental car that there were 'scratches', which included a large, unreasonable bill for repair, LOU and administrative fees regardless of the fact I had photos of the car upon return showing no damages that I had caused, and an eye-witness who also verified in writing that there was no damage to car. Avis customer service dept. would not help me as they claimed that car was independently owned, of which I was never forewarned by Avis or Priceline, and only later learned that company had terrible BBB ratings and multiple complaints by clients for claims of supposed damage to cars after return. I had no leverage to deal with the rental car owner, but J. Dudley resolved the matter in 1 week and the claim was cancelled, which was a huge relief for me. I had felt powerless against a huge rental car company who unscrupulously tacked on various large fees for supposed scratches after car had already been returned undamaged to Avis airport parking lot, and was very grateful for Mr. Dudley very quickly eliminating this claim. I also appreciated that he has a sense of humor, acts human, and treats his clients with respect and concern.

Maria handled my messy divorce and 5 years of residual issues in a concise manner with knowledge, fairness (to all parties involved) and with a calmness that help me get though those difficult years. I can't begin to express how amazing Maria was in handling my case. I filed for divorce in August of 2009 and my ex-wife immediately began an unimaginable mud-slinging campaign in an effort to gain sole custody of our children. I wanted to reply in kind and engage in that battle to refute all the lies my ex was putting forth. But, Maria had a great game plan which she came up with after our first court appearance. We would simply stick to the facts. At first, it was difficult to sit back and let my character be assassinated time and time again. However, it was very easy to trust the strategy that Maria had in place.
There were several times during my case that the outlook seemed bleak. I would get uptight, panicked or nervous. Maria was always there to explain the divorce process and tell me why we need to maintain our strategy. She was always available to answer any question, no matter how trivial it might have been. She would explain in detail why things were relevant to the court. Even if I had naïve questions like as why they were relevant, Maria explained how my course of action be in my best interests (and the best interests of my children) and how my actions would work in my favor in the long run. To say she has a firm grasp on divorce law and the entire divorce process would be a vast understatement.
It is now October of 2010 and my case has just concluded. I’m absolutely convinced Maria is part soothsayer. Her strategy played out exactly as we had discussed back in 2009. The custody evaluation worked out in my favor, just as Maria said it would. The judge saw through the mudslinging of my ex and focused on the facts, just as Maria said she would. While there are no winners in a divorce, I feel truly vindicated that I stuck to my convictions (thanks to Maria’s guidance) and the judge ruled very heavily in my favor.
This was the first instance I needed a lawyer for more than one day. I am absolutely elated that I chose Maria Maier to be that lawyer. Her expertise and guidance helped me through a very difficult transition in my life. I wouldn’t wish a divorce on anybody, but I would highly recommend Maria to anyone who needs an expert lawyer on their side should they find themselves facing a divorce.

I was a victim in a workplace discrimination case, my employer was a metro area county. I first retained a lawyer from one of the big downtown firms. This firm who I will not name did absolutely nothing to resolve my case. The only thing the downtown firm did was leave me with a substantial bill with nothing to show for it.
I then found Chris end it was a night and day difference between him and the other firm. Chris understood the human aspect of my case and understood the ramifications it could have on my career. Chris aggressively worked on my behalf to resolve the case in a reasonable fashion. I thought Chris was a great advocate and looked out for the best interest of me as he worked my case.
Another thing that I was very impressed with was the fact that Chris is a very down-to-earth and sincere person. Chris has an awesome sense of humor and is very easy to get along with.
