A pickup ran a red light and hit me hard. I woke up in the hospital with a severe concussion. I couldn't walk or move my arm. After I was arrested I searched for and spoke to numerous lawyers and felt no confidence. I began looking through the"Top 22 Lawyers" list and found the Law Offices of Daniel and Hudson. I spoke with the paralegal Brittany and she had a lawyer call me back within minutes. After speaking with the lawyer, Mr. Halstead (a military Veteran) I was more at ease and knew this was the right lawyer. The up front cost wasn't ridiculous and he was already making a plan on how to move forward. We spoke often at his office answering any questions I had and he also called me to let me know what was going on with my case. My charges were very serious and I was originally looking at a possible 25 years, but with his advice to hold out for a better outcome, it was 8 yrs, then it was just probation then it was dismissed. I owe it to Mr. Halstead for his knowledge of the criminal justice system and knowing when and how to present his case. I would "Highly" recommend Mr. Halstead in any criminal case because of his professionalism and knowledge base. Thanks to Mr.Halsted and his team (Brittany and Veronica) I got my life back!

I was in a big messy divorce and allegations arose of misconduct with my child ( to put it mildly ). After putting money down with a criminal lawyer that I will not name, I saw the beginning of a scary path because the lawyer lacked sufficient experience in these type of cases. So I looked up the Daniel and Hudson law firm and decided to present my case.
I was informed of what to expect and what not to expect. But throughout the conversations I’ve seen the experienced lawyers treating this case with diligence. What I experienced in the court room when my lawyer questioned the states negligence in facts and lack of officers experience in sensitive information was overwhelming to witness; since I would have never known what to expect in this type of case. My confidence with my lawyer Woody was further uplifted when the intern lawyer that I met during the trial proceedings told me that a lot of interns come to see him defend his clients. Ms. Criswell represented us in a frivolous lawsuit, in which we were defendants. She navigated through the ridiculous and endless amounts of red tape. When it finally got to the point where we went to trial, it was as if a Terminator took over. To say that she eviscerated the plaintiff on the stand is an understatement. She was so thorough, so laser-accuracy direct, that the judgment came back in 15 minutes - in OUR favour. She cut through all the horse hockey and clearly exposed the whole case for what it was: a frivolous and pointless lawsuit. I would say that I would recommend this Lawyer to anyone and everyone. We haven't always seen eye to eye on every issue but at the end of the day he will look out for your best intrest. John was appointed to me because I couldnt afford a Lawyer, but this made no difference to him he Defended me as if I were a paid client. I knew I was innocent of these false charges and John had put together a great Defense that he worked really hard on. He was in constant communication with me Via Email and anwered all his messages. He is intellegent and a very hard worker. On the day of my Trial he announced "Ready for Trial with Pre Trial motions filed and Ready for an aquittal"(entire court room laughs in audible). The last part he added for flair but I think thats what got the Assistant D.A to realize that he didnt have a case. Not even an hour later John and I are sitting down discussing our stratgey going in to the trial and the Assistant D.A walks over with a piece of paper that states Motion for Dismissal. John will never know how grateful my Family and I are for his hard work. He is a great Lawyer and a good man!

I knew Scott from his work at his former firm. When I was looking for a new attorney in South Texas I found he had left and started a new firm with his wife. Initially I assigned two cases to his new firm. One which had been pending for more than three years. In less than two weeks Scott and his team had devised a strategy for shutting the case down with no exposure. They implemented the plan and had the case dismissed.
