What was the problem that you had before you called our law firm?
I had many issues with my Vehicle but most of all trying to get a call back from an attorney was the hardest thing. So many out of area attorneys not very helpful was the WORST!!!!!

I bought a factory-certified 2017 Kia Sorento in fall 2018 from a local dealer.
In June 2023 at 55,000 miles, I first noticed a burnt oil smell when driving my car. The Kia developed an oil consumption problem and started burning 1-quart of oil internally each week, without any external visible trace.
I took my car to the Carlsbad Kia dealer, who performed all the service on it, and explained this latest problem. I brought it there several times through the end of 2023, hoping for resolution.
While still under factory warrant, the dealer said there was little they could do for me. They advised me to drive the car until the engine died and gave me the phone number to report my problem to Kia America HQ.
Likewise, Kia America pushed back and said I need to resolve it through the dealer. Feeling frustrated, I filed a complaint with the federal highway agency, NHTSA.
In January 2024, a family member had problems with a new hybrid Jeep Wrangler he bought and enlisted help from San Diego Lemon Law attorney Doug Sohn. That family member encouraged me to contact Doug’s office to see if they could also help my case.
In late January, I followed-up and filed an inquiry on the law firm’s website. One week later, they contacted me to set up an initial background call with attorney Doug Sohn.
I explained the whole problem to Doug who said he’d research this problem with other Kia owners and report back to me if he felt we had a valid case.
In February, Doug contacted me after his research, he felt I had a valid claim and agreed to take my case. We held a brief follow-up call to review how their firm proceeds on these cases, how valuation of my vehicle and their compensation works, and sent me forms to sign.
His staff asked me to submit several documents about my purchase of the car, title, service receipts, etc. Two weeks later, Doug provided me with initial draft of his letter to Kia America, outlining my case as supported by his research of this oil problem with Kia and Hyundai vehicles. His letter requested that they buy back my car, based on my damaged engine and unreliability of the frequent need for oil.
In April, my relative settled his claim with Jeep through Doug’s help and received full reimbursement for his problematic new vehicle.
In May, we received Kia’s acceptance of Doug’s proposal to buy back my Kia Sorento. I was overjoyed, with a great sense of relief on that news. The law firm warned me that Kia is not the fastest to resolve these cases and said it would take about 120 days to be completed.
As I drove the car for another four months, I kept replenishing oil into the engine every 1 to 2 weeks based on my driving. The car was becoming more unreliable, and it actually blew a cylinder during my last month of ownership.
By October, Kia finally arranged a date for me turn-in my car at the local Kia dealer, working with a 3rd party firm who handles these arrangements for Kia America. In early November, the law firm received payment from Kia, and Doug sent my check for agreed settlement amount.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with the law firm’s detailed follow-through and steady communication. The staff kept me informed regularly on the progress of my claim.

I got my first dui Jan 2021 which involved an additional charge and resulted in probation. I violated my probation with another dui in may 2024 and that’s when I contacted David Simon. For this whole year I was anxious about getting jail time and David kept me informed the entire process. I only physically went to court twice and the whole process was smooth and easy and very guided. I was looking at potentially 6 months of jail but got 60 days of house arrest instead. I’m very happy with the result considering my situation and will be using his services in the future to help expunge my old charges and terminate probation early.

I reached out to Rick for some expert advice(after reading other reviews) regarding a family member's DUI arrest. He called me back right away with time sensitive(10 day window after receiving the arrest pink slip) advice on how to handle DMV hearing and the importance of ordering a copy of drivers license right away(all done online). I could tell right away he was an expert in this area of law, he wasted no time in giving me crucial information and by the time we ended the call, he was pretty much HIRED for the case. Rick takes care of everything, DMV hearing and court appearances/follow up. He keep you informed every step of the way and lets you know up front what to expect(as far a timeframes...things run slow with the DMV and the courts). I've been happy with his services. He responds quickly to e-mails, answers questions and always has a comforting vibe that makes me feel like everythings going to be ok. When it came time to discuss SR-22 insurance he referred me to Alondra Ambrosio. Alondra was my go to person for the insurance/DMV situation. You can tell she knows her stuff and has confidence....no umm's or let me get back to you on that. She gets its done quick and with ease. Both Rick and Alondra are just both so nice to work with...just genuinely wanting to help.

I hired Rick and he was professional, attentive, and genuinely empathetic to the situation I found myself in. My wife and I have been working with her oldest brother (85 yrs old) to help him with a Will and a Living Trust. For the past 3 years we have traveled from our home in Durand Mi. to San Diego to provide him with advice and provide any help he may need to get everything right. The more we worked the more complicated and confusing this procedure became, OMG were we Stumped. This year we decided we needed professional help. So, what do you do when your 2000 miles away and don't really know anybody in a big city like San Diego, GOOGLE IT! That's exactly what we did and came up with a bunch of names of attorneys that claim to be the best anywhere. We started making calls to see who we liked the best and would be able to take care of our issues. We left voice mails and asked to have someone contact us to set up a meeting. We encountered a few who were vague and after listening to what we needed really didn’t seem too interested. Then Jason, called us and we were so happy with his attitude and wiliness to complete the needed documents on a very short notice. Everyone in that firm seemed to want to help us get everything right, signed, and registered they even worked through the weekend. Joshua Price's name came up a few times in AA meetings, as the attorney anyone charged with a DUI will need. CHP wrote me up for a felony DUI for a .04% BAC level, and I instantly started researching attorneys. Choose Joshua because Josh focuses solely on DUI cases, he is the specialist with all DUI matters including DMV and Criminal cases. Josh was always upfront and responded to emails within a day. I followed his recommendations of preparing for the court date including AA meetings and MADD class.
At the end of the deal, Joshua was able to get the felony charges completely dismissed. Shortly after my case was completely dismissed, his office updated his website showing my case charges and results. The cases on his website are real, the results are real. Im living proof of it. I would recommend Joshua to anyone who was charged for DUI. Joshua is the first call, best call. He's worth every cent. It's your freedom.

Choosing a lawyer is tough. You're basically taking a leap of faith, hoping they'll be able to help you. I learned this the hard way when I hired Taibi and Associates ( see my review for this firm on Yelp). I imagine that most attorneys bring out their "A" game at the initial consultation hoping thatyou will go into contract with them. However, after signing the contract and paying the retainer things can change very rapidly. This is not the case with Joshua Price. What I really appreciated was his availability and guidance. He was always there to answer my questions and offer advice. He's more than just a lawyer; he's a coach, helping you every step of the way.
Josh's expertise and experience were immediately evident. He understood the complexities of my case, which involved not only a DUI charge but also a collision with injuries. He came into the situation knowing exactly what I should do and when I should do it. He is experienced in knowing exactly what needs to be done to both satisfy the courts and get your life back in order. My case took over 5 years and was part of a group of cases referred to as Clergy III. The cases went from State Court to Federal Court as the Defendant attempted to minimize the liability of the claims against it. At no time was Mr. Zalkin ever unavailable to answer concerns or questions about the case, and brought in the necessary experts to assist when needed to secure an adequate value and location of assets as the case proceeded through Federal Bankruptcy court. Because of his diligence and professionalism, Mr. Zalkin was able to help secure an additional 100 million dollars to the initial offering of 98 million and settle the cases without having to put any clients though any unnecessary trauma of trial. The work he did in my case and the way in which he handled it was above and beyond what had been experienced with other Law firms in years previous. Mr. Zalkin handled the sensitivity of the nature of my case with the utmost of respect and professionalism. My wife and I have been working with her oldest brother (85 yrs old) to help him with a Will and a Living Trust. For the past 3 years we have traveled from our home in Durand Mi. to San Diego to provide him with advice and provide any help he may need to get everything right. The more we worked the more complicated and confusing this procedure became, OMG were we Stumped. This year we decided we needed professional help. So, what do you do when your 2000 miles away and don't really know anybody in a big city like San Diego, GOOGLE IT! That's exactly what we did and came up with a bunch of names of attorneys that claim to be the best anywhere. We started making calls to see who we liked the best and would be able to take care of our issues. We left voice mails and asked to have someone contact us to set up a meeting. We encountered a few who were vague and after listening to what we needed really didn’t seem too interested. Then Jason, called us and we were so happy with his attitude and wiliness to complete the needed documents on a very short notice. Everyone in that firm seemed to want to help us get everything right, signed, and registered they even worked through the weekend. The team was amazing in helping us with our will and trust! They were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, supportive and patient with us as we figure out the best path forward to suit some of our very particular needs. It’s obviously not a fun or easy topic to discuss and they were so understanding of that giving us options and suggestions that could be relevant to us. And allowing us the time we needed to sort things out amongst our family. Sometimes we wouldn’t be able to resolve things easily so we would be at a standstill for a while between me and my husband but they were great about checking in regularly without creating any additional pressure. We also had some personal and particular road blocks that we come up against and Ashley was wonderful in giving us options and guidance around that.
