My case involved working in an area where the court has very wide discretion (spousal support). The team at JHMoreno Law provided excellent and conscientious support over a 4-year period of support contention. They crossed all their t's and dotted the i's and documented everything. While this kind of administrative work is expensive, it was necessary in working with the slippery opposition. Much more important was the wisdom of the counsel provided to me. JHM, esq., was amenable to discussions about strategy and metaphor, most unusual in a legal context, but powerful in a trial situation. His associates were knowledgeable,
and, when they didn't know, they looked it up. The staff treated me like family and I felt comfortable expressing myself in their offices. The work they have done on my behalf is first-rate. These lawyers are real people and, contrary to the usual negative 'shark' connotation, the tone of this law firm is compassionate and helpful. They have gone above and beyond in their prosecution of my case. I highly recommend them.

The attorney and his associate were friendly and assuring but I learned the hard way that they were not as experienced as I expected and as they claimed to be. In the earlier court hearings, the attorney did not put in adequate effort to present my case in order to effectively deal with the opposing party. My case could have settled sooner instead of it being drawn out for over 2 years. I know that if there was a more experienced associate working on my case, there would have been better overview and anticipation of particular problems. Many things were unnecessarily done and too much time was spent over the briefs and other paper work, rewriting several times and reviewing them to make them "perfect" thus experience was gained by the associate at my expense. Also the exorbitant legal fees I paid did not get me the quality of advocacy as expected. The office support charges were very high too which I believe is due to a complex and sophisticated office system and a large staff.

He is the nicest human being, a very honest man- a humble and dignified man- an amazing attorney,a family man- who cares about people and respects everyone- a passionate attorney, who will fight for you and will never let you down as a client. He has the nicest people working for him. All his attorneys are the "creme de la creme" of lawyers - they are wonderful and very good at what they do- the work together and put the client first. The parallegals are exceptional , professional and the bestl in what they do. I do not know why Hector does not have a 10 rating on AVO- he deserves nothing less than a 10- he is the best

Mr. Masuda is a newly hired attorney on a restraining order case. It's been about a month so far. We have sent him certified emails, called the office left a message about the email, and today is the 3rd day and he still has not opened the email. It became obvious that email is necessary since he seems to twist words in conference calls. Yesterday in particular he twisted the sequence of a request which would have completely changed the outcome of had it not been clarified by myself. It's obvious to me that he is very inexperienced. It was also frustrating to me that there was other communication within the organization that had not been passed on to him. My brother and myself had to ask him to check into it. Additionally, my brother has had to repeatedly remind him of an important request in answer to OP's attorney.

Earlier this year I found myself in a very unfamiliar place knowing I needed to file for a divorce, but had not idea where to even start because I knew it was going to be an uphill battle and a very difficult process.
I got to speak with one of the senior attorneys and he took the time to answer questions I had and gave me an idea of the process for a divorce. The next day I payed my retainer fees and within days after that I heard back from the attorney that was taking my case.
I decided to hire an attorney to help guide me through this process because I new it was not going to be easy and there were kids and property involved. I wanted to go into this process knowing I had someone looking out for my best interest and someone with the experience and knowledge.
Once Todd Masuda took my case he took the time to get to know my situation, my needs and what I wanted out of this divorce. he address my concerns and put me at ease. He also made me feel like I wasn’t just another case he had.
I liked that I was constantly updated on the case and when I would call to speak to my attorney he would make time for me and take my call or I would get call back shortly after.
Todd Masuda is very knowledgeable, professional and efficient. He made this difficult process as smooth as possible. I felt heard and cared for. I have and will continue to recommended him to friends because I know they will be in good hands.

I worked with this firm to consult about my mom's partner's previous marriage and to understand the status of her marital property shared with her ex-husband. The attorneys were very knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain the details of the situation. Nowadays, you never know what firm operates from satellite workspaces, but I was pleased to find that their office was conveniently just down the block. Sent these guys a very detailed email with all the facts regarding my labor law case. They scheduled a zoom call following a few calls. Spoke with a person (not sure if a real attorney or not) named "Frank Zecolla" for an HOUR over zoom and agreed to send him evidence supporting my case. After sending him all the evidence requested they simply GHOSTED ME! Sent several follow up emails, called and left several voicemails and NOTHING, NO RESPONSE, NO COMMUNICATION, NO COURTESY CALL...
They Simply GHOSTED a possible client. Glad it didn't go beyond that. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and speaks VOLUMES on how this "firm" practices law.

I contacted Magdalena Chattopadhya of Magdalena Law Group three years ago as I went about interviewing (5) separate law firms in the San Jose area. My effort was to replace my attorneys at the time related to my family law case that had been in effect for over 10 years. My case was related to a divorce in 2008 where my ex moved to CA and took our two boys with her. The divorce matter was resolved but the custody disputes were ongoing and intense. We never went more than a year without being in the courtroom, where my ex-wife attempted over and over again to reduce my parenting time. When my boys wanted to come and live with me, it hit the fan and an Emergency Screening was ordered. Then, a Parenting Coordinator was assigned. Apparently, a Parenting Coordinator should generally work to reduce issues, but our assigned coordinator did not work fairly. I didn't know what to do and my current attorneys didn't have much to offer. I wanted someone to fiercely represent me and pursue what I knew was right! Magdalena jumped in and had to review over a decade of material and circumstances. I was constantly surprised by how much information she digested and knew without being prompted. Not only did she keep us out of the courtroom for the remainder of time left until my youngest turned 18, but she silenced the efforts of my ex-wife and her attorney and also silenced the Parenting Coordinator who, in my opinion, poorly handled the case and should not serve as such in good faith. Magdalena herself helped me to do exactly what was needed in order to prevail. Even when I would be exasperated over the ridiculousness and contentiousness of the PC, OP, and my ex-wife, she assured me that if I followed her counsel, we would prevail - and we did! Had I remained with my former counsel or selected anyone else, I could not imagine having survived the legal attacks as I did. If you're looking for someone who won't "blow sunshine" and instead, give it to you straight and compel you to understand, Magdalena Law Group is THE choice. As an aside, everything with her office is smooth. Payments, documentation support, meetings, etc., - the team at Magdalena Law Group is smart, quick to act, and at your service, as they were at mine. I am beyond grateful for the services rendered and recommend Magdalena Law Group as they were the best family law representation I had - totaling 5 other firms!
