I hired Matt Metzger in a bankruptcy case where I was the creditor. He usually works on the behalf of the debtor. The debtor cheated myself and 49 other creditors, then fled to bankruptcy court to escape her debt. So this was a different case for Matt who normally works for the other side, but could be an advantage since he would know their usual strategy.
Matt is an energetic, hard working, and innovative attorney. To say that he is a multitasker underestimates all that's going on in his head. He is good at looking for and finding "out of the box" solutions to legal problems. His persistence and diligent hard work ultimately pays off. I only had one issue with Matt, he wanted me to settle at a sum that I felt was insulting and ridiculous so I refused. The debtor ultimately came up to my sum and we settled. I would recommend Matt to anyone who needs legal assistance in the realm of bankruptcy. I don't think you will find a better or harder working attorney. BTW, he appears to have a solo practice, unusual these days but seems to fit his lifestyle.

I'm a bay area real estate broker/agent. I've referred Carmen to a few of my clients. All of which would tell me she would never return their calls or they could never connect with her. Should have learned then but instead I decided I should give her a try myself for my estate planning documents especially since we had done some events together. Never did I think my estate planning documents would take over a year to complete.
I signed our engagement letter 6/3/22, the first payment link was sent to me on 6/4/22 (quick turnaround). I had an in-person meeting with her on 7/28/22 after rescheduling on my end a few times due to personal reasons. Soon after I provided all of my documents to her and we scheduled a follow up meeting for 9/22/22.
I didn’t hear anything back from her until 11/14/22, with another payment link for another service she provided. At that moment I inquired about finalizing my trust documents, her office told me they were going to mail them to me the following week. One month goes by and I inquire again on 12/6/22. She claims she is onboarding new team members and has been understaffed. On 12/20/22 I ask her if she was able to find an attorney out of state to put my properties in the trust. She claimed she did and that she would have the deeds ready the following week. January came and went and zero communication from her or her office. I inquired again on 2/3/23 - following up on the mobile notary to sign & finalize trust documents. Another person in her office responds back and I finally get a mobile notary scheduled for 2/9/23. I assumed this was it and I was just waiting around for my executed county stamped documents to get mailed back to me. Well June comes around and I still haven’t received anything back. I inquire again on 6/6/23. She says she is checking with her assistant. No communication again until I inquire again on 6/27/23. One property was finally taken care of and confirmed received by the county on 7/11/23. The other property was finally taken care of in late Sept 2023.
My frustration is the lack of customer service/communication. I understand small businesses tend to get understaffed or are going through business changes but if my services are paid for and I have to constantly be contacting you for an update and most of the time you don’t respond, then there is something wrong! This tells me this business doesn’t value its clients. Posting this review now in case this will help others determine whether to use her services or not. I also know other small businesses that have used her & have had a similar or worser experience so that tells me I’m not the only one.

I recently went through an otherwise very stressful divorce and court trial. I am a practicing physician and my ex a housewife for 17 years. I have three children. I was at a distinctly disadvantageous position to begin with. My divorce lasted for 2 years from the time of filling. My ex and her boyfriend hired 2 teams of very aggressive attorneys from Southern California and San Francisco making the case very complicated, over litigated and stressful. I felt I was helpless until I met Yvonne Seeley and her team of associates and assistants. With professionalism, super knowledge of California family law, and super experience as a trial lawyer, I was able to more than survive the ordeal, ending with a fair and satisfactory trial result, and having my interest maximally protected. Ms. Seeley's counsel in my marriage dissolution was invaluable. She helped me understand the dissolution case process, and helped me to manage my own expectations with respect to timing of case events. She's the consummate attorney in the sense that she's the strongest advocate for her clients. In family law cases where things can get muddied by a bit of emotion, she keeps things real and in perspective.
As a paralegal, I was able to prepare the bulk of paperwork myself, but without Ms. Seeley's keen eye to some details, and recommendations as to alternatives -- in specific related to division of property and spousal support, the case might still be pending judgment.
I was pleased to receive the desired outcome with the court in a reasonable amount of time. The courts might be a bit slow, but the team at Seeley & Madigan couldn't have been more responsive. Questions answered right away, and proposed solutions offered quickly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helen Yvonne Seeley and the team at Seeley & Madigan. If ever I need family law counsel again, Ms. Seeley would be the first attorney i'd contact.

Jessica was referred to me by a local non-profit that supports domestic violence survivors for her experience in that field. It can be very difficult to communicate your case or make really tough decisions that will impact your life during emotionally complex times, but Jessica was able to make the process something to be navigated, not feared. During the consultation, Jessica took time to assess what my personal goals were after the divorce. The compassion and respect she provided is not something I had experienced in prior attorney-client interactions. My personal goals were honored throughout the case.
Jessica developed strategic approaches to major decision paths and was transparent with possible outcomes of each. She didn't promise me an outcome, rather she helped identify the possible pros and cons of each move (both long and short term). It helped me to come to informed conclusions with how I wanted to proceed.
What is really unique about Jessica is that it's her client's wishes that matter, not what the court wants or what every other case is about. She doesn't fit you into a box; she allows you to see the box, observe the box and make decisions about how you want to exist in that box. The box representing the constraints of the current law. And that allows the handling of the case to feel customized because you are given a degree of control in how to proceed.

Going through a complicated and scary divorce is not an easy process. My situation was incredibly complex and difficult. I was referred to ADZ through several sources and when I met Tulin I knew I had an advocate along with the protection and guidance needed to make it through what turned out to be almost 2-years of litigation. Her strength and expertise got me through. Her staff is top notch and equally as caring. My case was a personal one, not at a corporate level. Last year my sister in law was having a hard time because she was going through a divorce. We made appointments with many lawyers to help us and guide us thorough this hard journey. All the lawyers asked us that they charge $5,000 and how are you going to pay me. We were so happy that we found Mr. Ali, out of all the lawyers he was the only one who didn't ask us how are you going to pay me back, instead he gave us a guidance to what we have to do.
To be honest we felt hopeless and without a case, because of what other lawyers said. Just because they thought we couldn't pay them. That's when we found Mr. Ali on google and he has amazing reviews. We never thought that we will get an amazing relive when we were having such a hard time. He provided us with lots of information before anything.
He was not worried about how are we going to pay him but he was more worried about providing us with justice. It was an honor that he guided us and took our case. He was there for us when everyone turn their back on us. He did an amazing work of giving justice to my sister in law and my nephew.
We can still go on and write thousands of more good words for Mr. Ali but these words are still not enough to express my gratitude to Mr. Ali.

We had a great experience working with Mr. Liao. He was so knowledgeable and try to accommodate us at a time that we requested. When my mom and I had into car accident, my husband contacted his office and got us an appointment to speak with Mr. Liao. He listened to us with no rush. Process our insurance claim and guide us every step. Even prepared us before our deposition. Our claims got settled but since we didn't really get much with insurance he even waived attorneys fee. I'm a bay area real estate broker/agent. I've referred Carmen to a few of my clients. All of which would tell me she would never return their calls or they could never connect with her. Should have learned then but instead I decided I should give her a try myself for my estate planning documents especially since we had done some events together. Never did I think my estate planning documents would take over a year to complete.
I signed our engagement letter 6/3/22, the first payment link was sent to me on 6/4/22 (quick turnaround). I had an in-person meeting with her on 7/28/22 after rescheduling on my end a few times due to personal reasons. Soon after I provided all of my documents to her and we scheduled a follow up meeting for 9/22/22.
I didn’t hear anything back from her until 11/14/22, with another payment link for another service she provided. At that moment I inquired about finalizing my trust documents, her office told me they were going to mail them to me the following week. One month goes by and I inquire again on 12/6/22. She claims she is onboarding new team members and has been understaffed. On 12/20/22 I ask her if she was able to find an attorney out of state to put my properties in the trust. She claimed she did and that she would have the deeds ready the following week. January came and went and zero communication from her or her office. I inquired again on 2/3/23 - following up on the mobile notary to sign & finalize trust documents. Another person in her office responds back and I finally get a mobile notary scheduled for 2/9/23. I assumed this was it and I was just waiting around for my executed county stamped documents to get mailed back to me. Well June comes around and I still haven’t received anything back. I inquire again on 6/6/23. She says she is checking with her assistant. No communication again until I inquire again on 6/27/23. One property was finally taken care of and confirmed received by the county on 7/11/23. The other property was finally taken care of in late Sept 2023.
My frustration is the lack of customer service/communication. I understand small businesses tend to get understaffed or are going through business changes but if my services are paid for and I have to constantly be contacting you for an update and most of the time you don’t respond, then there is something wrong! This tells me this business doesn’t value its clients. Posting this review now in case this will help others determine whether to use her services or not. I also know other small businesses that have used her & have had a similar or worser experience so that tells me I’m not the only one.

I was in urgent need of an attorney to file a summons and complaint on my behalf in order for me to receive some unclaimed funds that I was entitled to being held in the Superior Court of Contra Costa County.
Paul was referred to me by a friend. I contacted Paul, he was on vacation but still handled my case that I consider over and above the call of duty. We communicated telephonically, by email and by fax and my lawsuit was submitted on time.. I left the country for a month and Paul continued to act on my behalf with the Court. When I returned Paul had it all in place for me to sign a Release and to receive the entire amount of unclaimed funds that I was entitled to.
