To say that Cecilia is "excellent" is an understatement. I met with several firms before being introduced to Cecilia at Shegerian. After my first chat with her, I knew right away I wanted her to represent me against my former employer. She took the time to really listen to me and made sure I felt seen and heard. It was essential that whoever represented me understood how much I endured at a toxic company and wouldn't treat me like just another case. Cecilia treated me like a human being, was honest and direct, and she made herself available to answer any questions or concerns I had even past business hours. It's rare to find an attorney that is both highly competent and shows incredible empathy, but somehow I received both in Cecilia. I hope that I never need to hire her again, but if I ever need an employment attorney, she will be the first person I reach out to. I know that I'll be recommending her to anyone who needs a rec for an employment attorney.

My Father and I have been coming to Mr. Frieden for legal representation and advice for a number of years. His professionalism and fairness with every case is something to appreciate.
He is extremely resourceful and able to research his cases to make you feel comfortable that he is protecting you and representing you at the highest level. Mr. Frieden has always been very reasonable with fees and his retainers- He is the only attorney I know, that actually will give you back a portion of the retainer, if the work has not been put into it. In my professional life dealing with attorneys, I have never experience that before.
He is one of the smartest individuals we know in the legal business and I would recommend him to anyone that needs good representation.

I met Megan in 2019, after a conflict with my family reached an impasse and I felt I needed an advocate. She was the fourth lawyer I met with, but the first to take me seriously and to engage with my story. After almost 2 years, we were able to reach a solution to a complex, multiparty, high dollar value, and very contentious conflict.
I cannot recommend Megan more strongly or passionately. She is an incredible lawyer who understands the rules and how to move within them. But more importantly, she is an incredible partner who knows how to sit in pain and distress with her clients, build mutually agreeable solutions, and to work long term to execute a difficult and intricate strategy.

Megan worked very hard for us on an upcoming case regarding a trust.
We live in the state of Washington. I was very surprised when Megan called me back personally the next day. I live in Tucson and my late husband and I had a Trust that was drawn up here. However, he owned a condo in L.A that we weren't able to get into the Trust before he passed away.
Megan was very responsive in working with me and with my AZ attorney in getting the property into the Trust without having to go through Probate. Although I haven't taken her up on it yet, she offered to help me find someone to assist if I decided t try to sell the property.

Comran is very responsive and get things done fast. I am a claims examiner for workers' compensation claims in CA. I don’t know where I would be without Steve Fernandez. This is not merely a review- some suggestion that endorses the services of Fernandez and Karney. This is more of a testament of gratitude for what he did for me.
First things first: the work of Steve Fernandez is excellent. He is a professional in the highest sense of the word. He obviously has a deep nuanced understanding of family law. He is beyond competent. All of his work was precise, swift, timely, and thorough.
But the true zeal beneath this review comes from the humanity in the way Steve treated me.
When I met Steve Fernandez my life was not in a good place. It is now. I have my life back, and, for the first time in a bit, the future looks bright and exciting. Steve Fernandez gave me a fresh start, brought order back to my life, and stood up for me when no one else would.
And that is the real reason I write this. My life was flipped upside down in the span of a day. My absorbantly wealthy wife used all of the powers at her disposal to bully me and make my life as difficult as possible. It was a daunting situation. But Steve kept me poised, sane, and confident that the way I was being treated was not only immoral, but not legal either. He was right.
So he stood up for me when no one else would. When all other avenues of help disappeared Steve was there- calm, intelligent, a guiding light through the tumultuous and complex process of divorce.

Free advice : Before filing for custody, select your attorney wisely, choose a firm with a strong foundation. Hopefully this helps. Had I initially hired Steven Fernandez, none of this would have happened, had I not hired him I would have never seen our child again as I had come to his firm unable to speak and broken. I'll explain. I am a thirty eight year old man who loves his daughter dearly. I've had a smorgasbord of Family Law Specialist, JNE Commission, overpriced Avvo 10's. Not all of them were to blame for the original event that turned the child custody case that I filed in Los Angeles into a fabricated Hemet case, built by design for over-litigated fee churning fraud... However, said attorneys sure were lazy for the money and were happy to turn a blind eye to the blatant fraud and corruption, while simultaneously extrapolating from me every single penny. Steven Fernandez, who's name is on the letterhead of this firm, was the first person to put the wellbeing of myself and our child ahead of easy money and Steven has done a better job than every single other firm combined. He has earned every single dollar and then some. Fraud, perjury, corruption, stalking, extortion, legal kidnapping, private investigators, investigative journalists, you name it, from Malibu to Hemet, we have been through it. Again, had I initially hired Steven Fernandez, absolutely none of this would have happened. Steve has the guts and good nature to run a deep roster of gifted professionals. Steven is smart, ethical and everything that one would hope their own children would grow up to be. Every attorney at this firm is a consummate professional and gifted in their own right. I believe the latter is a prerequisite for being employed by Steven, as Mr. Fernandez is highly intelligent, yet still he is a respectable humble man. Steven and his firm are hands down some of the most compassionate skilled litigators alive and excellent human beings.

Generally, I am not a person that writes reviews. However, Mr. Stark is such an exceptional attorney, that I felt compelled to let others know.
Mr. Stark does not, (thankfully), fit the stereotypical attributes of most attorneys that I have encountered.
He is direct, honest and truly seems to care about the well being of this clients. He listens. He replies honestly and with very knowledgeable responses based on experience. He is not robotic and arrogant, as most attorneys that I have consulted with in the past.
He is very knowledgeable about licencing issues, so if you are in a health or medical related field and have licensing questions or concerns, he is the one to see, though he specializes in other areas as well.
Granted, may I add, he is also extremely humble, as he has a PhD and teaches Law and isl also is also a Judge. I found him to be quite generous with his time, and did not stare at his watch like many attorneys will do after a few minutes.
This attorney is not driven my money, rather by helping those in need of assistance. He also has a great sense of humor, which helps greatly when stressed!
I could not be happier about the outcome. Mr. Stark goes above and beyond to assist his clients. I am so glad to have consulted with him. Highly recommend!

David helped me with a case regarding discrimination at my place of employment. I was a good worker, so I never thought it would happen to me. And then it did. It was a complicated case as there were many years of behavior from many people and a variety actions involved. The lawsuit itself lasted for many years too.
I always felt confident that David had the knowledge and experience to carry me through every step of the way - and there were a lot of steps! If I had a question, David was prompt to reply.
I’m still so impressed with how much David knows about California and federal employment law and how much real life experience he has with all of it. David knows how to build a case from the beginning to go to court. Of course, it’s always better to settle, but you’re in a real pickle if you can’t settle for some reason and your attorney doesn’t know how to win a case in court in front of a judge and jury. David was prepared for every legal angle. It was like playing chess - he was several steps ahead of everyone else.
Even in the most stressful situations, David was as cool as a cucumber and a consummate professional.
I am so grateful to David for all his help; I really can’t recommend David highly enough!

I needed help with a dire situation at work. Someone didn't like me and wanted me gone, despite an outstanding job performance on record. This was in the public sector so there was also a union involved and procedure that needed to be followed. I knew I needed an attorney, but didn't know how to find one that had the expertise and street smarts that I was looking for. I made numerous phone calls and consulted (in person) with two other attorneys before asking David Duchrow if he'd represent me. I am so happy he said yes.
My situation dragged out for months and time and time again, I'd be told one thing by the union (who was there to represent me) and something different by David. With his experience in appeals ("appellate law"), David was always one step ahead of the union because David would already know how this or that situation played out in the courts -- and he was well informed of the latest court decisions. It was this big picture type of thinking that ultimately got me a decent settlement considering the employer started out offering $0.
There were times I asked myself, "Do I really want to pay for an attorney? I have a union going to bat for me, won't that be enough?" All I can say is, I'm so very glad I had Mr. Duchrow on my team. I can confidently say that the only reason I got anything at all is because I had David Duchrow guiding and advising.
David Duchrow sees the big picture, the chess pieces, even when others trained in the law (and specifically in employment) couldn't see the same things he did with the same information. He's also one of the nicest and even-tempered people I've met. He was always patient and I did ask a lot of questions. David was careful to walk me through the logic of every piece of advice he gave to ensure I got it and understood the reasoning behind his recommendations. This helped me buy in to whatever it was he was suggesting and also gave me confidence when I had to face the ugliness of the situation before me.
The other thing I'll say is that his rate is extremely reasonable and David doesn't nickel and dime when representing you.
If you're in an employment situation and need an expert eye, someone with true street smarts or find yourself represented by a union, but wondering if you could do better, my short answer is this: Yes, you can do better. David Duchrow is the best I've come across when I was searching for an employment attorney. I'm extremely glad I decided to spend money on proper representation and I'm even more glad that it was on the right attorney.

It is easy to dismiss a 'perfect' review, but my results were what I needed and not over the top in fees or drama. I employed Ms. Fruchtman to intervene on an employment issue that had be washed over by previous attorneys as too insignificant or politically charged in the non-profit sector. My concerns were taken to heart, letters written, conversations had, and in the end, that is what I wanted. I did not want to go to court or sue over a sexual harassment claim. I wanted to be heard and apologized to by the employer. I wanted the perpetrator fired. I wanted them to acknowledge that they were wrong and that I was still watching them to prevent future misdeeds. They were scared. They listened. I was heard. Finally, I was able to sleep again. The perpetrator was 'retired' and women will be safe at that location. I owe that to her calm and relentless professional pursuit of the truth. They listened. That's what I needed. No court, no drama, just a good result for everyone.

I had a great experience working with Bibee. That was my first legal issue. It was small, but I never involved in any similar issues before so I was scared. He was all professional, knowledgeable, willing to help and cared not only about making money. I first talked with him on phone which gave me enough instructions and made me feel lighter, then in person, which was an efficient time also.
My case had a happy ending and as it supposed to be. Bibee contributed a lot In this. He was helpful when needed with a reasonable charge I think, so I recommend him.

Mr. Bibee was great! I got the traffic survey and Mr. Bibee noticed it was expired, so he got my ticket dismissed on that basis. I would never have known this because the city traffic engineer told me it was current. Mr. Bibee responded to my emails quickly and drove over an hour to meet me in court exactly when he said he would be there, which was 30 minutes before my trial. Can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to have a lawyer who is pleasant, competent, and professional. Would highly recommend him!

I had two traffic tickets that had gone to warrant because I ignored them for years. He went to the two courts (Long Beach and Torrance) and successfully negotiated with the courts to reduce the fines and remove the warrants. I was even allowed to pay part of them with Community Service.
I would not have been able to drive if he hadn't accomplished this. His fee was very reasonable for the amount of work and travel that he had to do. And he was polite and helpful along the way. Very professional but also down to earth.
I highly recommend Wayne Bibee if you have a similar case to handle.

I met Alli in early 2016 when I was first embarking on a journey to go from A2 visa to Green Card (I'm a UK expat living in LA). Given my personal situation at the time I figured my options for staying in the US permanently were going to be limited.
