I was devastated to find myself in a position to have to file bankruptcy. Mr Eastin and the entire staff at Platt and Westby were knowledgeable and helped me make it through the process and came up with a payment plan that worked for me. They stood by me when complications were incurred during the process. They were caring and supportive and with their help I have completed the process. We had an extremely complex Chapter13 case. Filing bankruptcy was an extremely agonizing decision but hiring Platt and Westby to represent us was probably the smartest decision I’ve ever made. Mr. Robinson handled my personal injury case for a car accident I was involved in back in 2013. The first attorney I hired couldn't get a reasonable offer from the other side so they transferred my case to Mr. Robinson who took it to arbitration and was successful in doing so! Mr. Robinson was there for me throughout the whole process and at the arbitration he did such an amazing job. Within 2 days we got the good news and won. Mike, Karen and Kailee are truly the best of the best. Mike's dedication to his clients is second to none. Mike and his staff take a personal interest in their clients more than I imagine a lot of other attorneys/staff do. He doesn't give up and will do whatever it takes to get the best outcome for his clients. His staff is a direct extension of him. I was already divorced, but wanted to move out of state to Texas with my 4 year old son. Mike made it possible. He is a bulldog on a case, he was totally willing to go all the way and nothing slipped by him, he made my move happen. My ex husband filed an emergency temporary order the day before I was set to leave Arizona. We had 3 or 4 court appearances both in person and over the phone and every time Mike made sure we came out of it ahead. My ex kept completely ignoring court orders, so we would refile with more changes to the agreement and win. He is absolutely wonderful to work with, in fact I found this website looking for his contact information since a friend of mine needs a divorce attorney. I have recommended him twice before to other friends / family.

I have been working with Family Law Attorney, Tali Collins, for 2 years, and she is by far the best attorney that I have worked with for ongoing family law litigation. She is very approachable, knows her legal material, is detail- orientated, has an amazing memory, knows lots of helpful resources and her fees are very reasonable.
I have worked with many attorneys who have similar skills, but want you to hire them and are not great with working with the client that wants to self represent. Because I don't have the financial resources for a retainer, Ms. Collins has worked with me in preparing legal documents, preparing for hearings, and organizing and finding exhibits. She knows what individual judges want, so I feel like I am ahead of the game and know what to expect and how to prepare when I go to the hearing.
Recently, Tali Collins helped me prepare for my latest Parenting Time Modification Hearing and I feel more prepared than I did when I hired an attorney to represent me at the last one, and it saved me thousands of dollars. Ms. Collins knows all aspects of family law and I don't think I could have worked with anyone who could prepare me as much as she has.
I am so grateful that I found Ms. Collins, she has been an immense resource for me and has been so "spot on" with helping me in past hearings and litigation. I have used Vincent Matioli’s law service on a couple occasions. The first time was when I found myself in a pickle. I attempted to waffle my way through it alone because I didn’t think I could afford an attorney. Finding Vince was a god send. Not only did he get my DUI charge dropped he made the process painless. In April of 2024, my family moved to Arizona after my son was diagnosed with autism. In July of 2024, my at-the-time wife kidnapped both of my children in broad daylight and fled the state, where she then used the incredible resources & connections of her family to file a divorce suit accusing me ofevery hot button issue one could think of. Despite enduring physical, emotional and verbal abuse for several years, I was the one being accused, and my children were now thousands of miles away.
In desperation, I reached out to a family law attorney who, after listening to a short summary of events, told me "there's nothing you can do. You should save your resources and use them to move or travel." Despite all the proof I offered, I could tell that she was thinking exactly what I feared most would think - that as the man being accused of everything from emotional abuse to physical violence, I would be deemed guilty from the start.
My next meeting was with Robyn, and it has forever changed my life. Within minutes, Robyn was quoting case law, statues, and was possibly more angry at the children's mother than I was. We were going to fight, and we were going to win, she said. I asked her how she knew.
"Because I believe you, Daniel, and we're going to make sure the truth has it's day. I wouldn't tell you we could win if I wasn't sure."
Ninety days after that consultation, after winning 3 of 3 hearings in 2 states, the State of Arizona ordered that the children be returned home. Robyn & her incredible paralegal Mandy called me with the news, and we laughed and cried on the phone together.
There's still a long way to go, but thanks to Robyn, my son will have the incredible resources that Arizona provides to thrive with his disability. I will get to see my daughter grow up. I will get to hold them when they sad or sick, snuggle them when they're sleepy, laugh and giggle and create memories with them - all because Robyn believed in me. She has taken so many calls, answered so many emails, worked with me through incredibly tough financial situations, and has fully and deeply invested herself in my cause and case.
I cannot wait for my son & daughter to meet the incredible women who have made their return home a possibility. Robyn (and Mandy) - thank you, from the bottom of my soul. Thank you for caring, for listening, for supporting, and for being so excited to cross-examine the opposition that you can barely sit still.

I reached out to Robyn after finally making the decision to leave my narcissistic and abusive husband, now ex-husband. Not only was he horrible to me, but to our two children also. I am the owner of a large business so hiring lawyers is something I have had to do as part of the job many times. Here is why I give Melanie 5 stars:
*She was referred by an attorney that knew her by being her opposition in a hotly contested case and he had a lot of great things to say (and I trust him, completely, as he is my friend)
*She screened me as the client and not the other way around, although she encourged hat. She won't take the client hat can pay her but only the client that has a real case she is willing to sign her name on. She is not free, don't get me wrong, but she's more than fair in her rates.
*She is up front about costs and risks - it's the firs thing she explains. Unlike almost everyone else, there was never "I'm getting you paid" or someing equally ridiculous. It was "I can't gaurantee anything in this business, no matter how correct you are legally or facually" - what? Honesty?
*She is aggressive as can be, but professional - I am not embarassed by an over-the-top crazy person, but I am proud of the fact that she is no taking anyone's crap
*She is not afraid to sue and will do what she says she will in her leters to the other lawyer (it really is not a threat - it is what is coming if there is not a resolution)
*She litigates cases as fast as possible, doesn't take BS from anyone, and remains ethical no mater what - she tells her cliens (me, at least and she said everyone - I of course believe her) that she will not ever pursue a case to the point of crossing lines she is not 100% proud of, as in, no loss of integrity and unethical activity is not up for discussion
*Dirty lawyers make her sick - she will fight them and be mad with you! She is genuinely PO'd when she calls to tell you what was filed for no reason or bad reasons like billing the file
*She is in favor of the fastest resolution - she encouraged setlement at every step and encouraged me when appropriate - she is not in it to bill the file and does not bill in the shower
*Nobody working with her is any different - her partner is her husband and they are high school sweethearts. Silly as it sounds, they are as good as it gets by way of "good people' and they have an adorable family you will get to know if you hang around long enough or simple talk with her or her husband, Justin
*Remeber the saying "good things come in small packages" - small firm, small lady (she's not exactly the tallest one in the room, lol), but not at all small work - impressive is an understatement!
*She knows the HOA community well - the regulars know her and her firm, and they don't want to mess with her unless they think they can win - insurance defense is anoher story, as that means the atorney can bill and bill and bill until someone in the big insurance company finally notices and then like magic it's time to setle! Melanie predicted this like a psychic, although she's not- she's just been there many, many times.
*Ingelligence. I don't mean run of the mill smart but really, really sharp!
*Ethical yet aggressive as I could have hoped for. IF you don't think this firm is strong enough for you, then you want the dirty attorney and not the one that acts professionally and follows ethical rules all attorneys are supposed to follow
*Economical. NO billing in the shower or anywhere near it! Fair billing at fair rates. You do get what you pay for, but you actually get a bit more here. If you go to the lower rate lawyer, you will likely have an ambulance chaser type of person.

Ms Picarello was very professional.
She was very attentive to our needs and added a personal touch.
Often when you need to involve a lawyer, this is an unpleasant event, but Ms Picarello made as easy as possible. She was present at events she didn't have to be at and wasn't always running a tab.
