When I got in trouble I was young and scared. I was not legal yet and my parents made me figure out what I was going to do all on my own. After shopping around for many weeks in the Tacoma area, meeting with 12-15 different lawyers. Bill from the jump stood out to me. First off, he let me come in for my consultation after I got off work which was at 7 and those are not business hours. Then he was so non-judgmental and caring and so knowledgeable. He let me cry and cry and promised me I was in good hands. When Bill told me his rate for a DUI charge i knew I couldn't afford it and I was extremely bummed. For the next 3 weeks Bill would call to see how I was, see how school was going. He cared about me so much and wanted to work with me. Finally after a few weeks he asked me how much I could afford on a lawyer. I was honest with him and told him I couldn't afford the rate he was asking. (Its not extreme, i was just working part time in fast food) He came down and we agreed upon a rate that worked for the both of us. Before every court date he told me everything that the judge was going to say and what I needed to say. He was proud to present me. He spoke very highly of me to the judge. Bill really is on our side and he loves his clients. He will go the extra mile to make sure that you are comfortable. His kids are also lawyers and work for him sometimes. They are also AMAZING. I felt just as comfortable in court when his son represented me then when Bill did. He taught his kids well. Bill is just all around the best lawyer. I was initially very concerned when our lawyer retired, wondering if anyone would be be a good fit for my Fiance & I. Andrea made us feel very comfortable right out of the gate! I called to request a consultation late on a Friday, the attorney was not available at that time. He called me back first thing on the following Saturday. I was really surprised as I had not expected to hear back until Monday.
Tim provided me with suggestions as to what I should do and also provided me with the needed steps to take to move through the dispute on my own. He said that hiring an attorney would be more than the amount I was dealing with in regards to the dispute.
His explanation was great and made me realize that this wasn't something that I had to freak out about and that it could be dealt with regardless of the outcome. He also didn't make me feel bad about the situation, which I appreciated.
If for some reason I need to file bankruptcy in the future (I hope not) or if I know someone who is in need of a bankruptcy attorney, Tim will be who I go to or suggest to others.

SaraEllen Hutchinson is an excellent lawyer in consumer protection. I was trying to handle a problem myself with one of the credit reporting agencies. It was going on for 7 months, and not only was I getting nowhere, it was actually getting worse. I was scared, angry, and completely locked out of my credit report, while ID thieves were in. I called SaraEllen's office on a Friday at 5:00 pm. She emailed me the same evening, and by Monday morning she was handling my case. She has a strong working relationship with other lawyers, and within 2 months she had everything corrected. She represented me and handled everything with professionalism, and her knowledge of the credit protection laws. I really hope I'm not over-hyping her, but this is honestly how I feel. Kathleen is extremely intelligent, detail-oriented, honest, kept us updated regularly, respectful, timely, empathetic, and her arguing skills are insane.
She took the time to really understand our case and its nuances. Moreover, just to emphasize how intelligent she is - I have a rare, complicated disability that parents, teachers, and even doctors have to study (AND be around it) for years to be able to understand it. Kathleen was able to understand it within a week (possibly less - I didn't time her), even though I was her FIRST client with this particular disability!
She won our case, but even if she hadn't my review would be the same because of how thorough she is. We would have walked away satisfied that she looked at every possible angle.

Hire Natalie she is amazing!!!
I ran the gamut of attorneys before finding Natalie and honestly I was getting quite discouraged. I spoke to leagues of highly recommended and sought after attorneys who have clear reputations for winning cases like this, and I can tell you that I was more impressed with Natalie in the first two minutes of our conversation than with any of the other professionals, even the ones with over 21 years of experience. I have heard many people complain that once retained, attorneys become less communicative and less responsive. Natalie was the opposite, she was fully committed to doing everything she could to help and keep me updated on the case. I talked to her a number of times after normal business hours and even met with her on a Sunday to work on the case. Natalie is the kind of attorney you pray has time for your case. We had the misfortune of hiring an inexperienced contractor to remodel our bathroom. He was very unprofessional and didn't quite know how to do a remodel. We paid him a lot of money but got shoddy workmanship in return. He sued us in Small Claims Court for a final payment of $1280.00 but we were fortunate to have found Jean Bouffard to defend us. Jean had the lawsuit transferred to Superior Court and we sued the contractor for breach of contract. The case was a mess of facts and figures but Jean was able to sort it out and win a judgement of $21,030 for us including attorney fees. We are very happy with her professionalism, knowledge and demeanor.

I explained what our case was about his legal assistant informed me to send the documents that I had regarding myself and husband's case, and she would discuss it with Attorney Malden. After submitting the documents requested it was within two days we got a response from Mr. Malden's office to inform us that he would represent us. We had a meeting at his office and the very first time that my husband and myself met Mr. Malden and his legal assistant. I know that nobody really wants to have a legal experience and I am no exception to the rule. My long term disability carrier decided to quit paying my benefit due to a patently false claim on their part. Prior to speaking with Ms. Larson, my wife and I spoke with a "top" law firm that specializes in this type of litigation. In order to take my case, they wanted 40% of my award for 5 years. We were devastated... The we spoke with Ms. Larson. After hearing our story, she recommended that we start using her on an hourly basis to see how that turned out. She estimated that it would take about 4 hours of her time and I'm pretty sure we didn't use the full amount. She wrote one of the most concise and "to the point" letters to the LTD carrier that I have ever had the privilege of reading. That was all it took... They resumed payment and have subsequently removed any limitations regarding continuing benefits.

Just want to share my story on how Terry helped me out on what proved to be a life-changing event. I was the passenger of a truck on a country road in Tacoma when suddenly our vehicle was hit by a speeding driver who went over the ridge and left me almost dead right at the scene. With the grace of God, I survived the accident but had to fight for my life with severe injuries.
I had to endure three major surgeries, nearly a month of recovery in the hospital, and a few months more in rehab that had me spend most of my days in a wheelchair. More than three years of extensive rehab was still not enough to bring me back to the kind of physical freedom and confidence that I used to enjoy prior to the accident. I can completely attest that it has been the darkest days of my life. I couldn't work and the medical bills were piling up and it quickly drained what was left of my savings.
Just to let you know, the total medical expenses reached more than $150,000 not to mention the $60,000 worth of wages that I lost when I was stuck either in bed, in the wheelchair, or on crutches. In that moment, I didn't know what to do and there were plenty of times when my faith in the lord and life completely wavered.
The driver's insurance company settled for policy limits and from that point on, things turned for the worse. The insurance company insisted that they only had to carry 1/4 of the liability since I was merely a passenger of the truck and not the driver. The company put a lien on the $150,000 and medical bills it had paid which meant that I had to pay the majority of the money back. To bring further insult to injury, they even debated the responsibility of covering my future care.
But Terry E. Lumsden was not about to let justice slip away. Terry filed a lawsuit that forced the insurance company to waive its lien and agree to pay for future medical care. Thank you, Terry, for helping me achieve the justice and compensation that I desperately needed!
