If you are looking for a family law attorney in Montgomery County, TX, you will find no one better than Jack Riley. Jack was referred to us by another Conroe family attorney who we found on Avvo, and considered, but he did not have the cycles for our case. This other attorney who referred Jack is not simply a friend, but a respected opponent. I didn't learn this until after the fact, and I now understand why he was recommended. After working with a number of attorneys and being disappointed, Jack Riley is by far the best. In addition to being smart and understanding family law, he is extremely responsive. Unlike other attorneys, Jack does not overload himself with cases, and this allows him to stay on top of things and keep you up-to-date on the status of the case. Nick is an exceptional attorney. Nick ought to be a judge, because families would benefit with him on the bench.
Nick is a straight shooter, he’s aggressive in court, and he will prep you for testifying. I’ve hired attorneys with higher retainers and hourly rates that never prepared me to testify and were not nearly as knowledgably as Nick. It was clear that my case was stronger with Nick on my team. If you have to go to trial, Nick will block bs from the opposing counsel. Nick never wasted my time. Each time we waited for our case to be called, he was prepping me or giving me legal advice. My previous attorney worked on other cases on his laptop during my deposition and charged me for it.
Now I hired Nick to keep me out of a jail when an ex set me up in a scheme to flip custody. I also had unique needs that were running in parallel, and Nick tailored our meetings to also materially assist me in my long-term objectives.
Nick is smart, efficient, perceptive, knowledgeable in different areas of the law, and has good instincts on how judges tend to rule. I think that because Nick is extremely perceptive, he knew how and when to give me the information that I needed. By Nick not holding my hand, he kept my legal fees low. It is clear that Nick cares about families, because he never tried to empty my bank accounts. Although Nick and I didn't have many meetings, he never missed a beat in court, our meetings were only about what was relevant to succeed in the case, and he saved me money by not scheduling unnecessary meetings. Nick is a natural when it comes to litigating. In fact, without trying, he secured extra relief for me outside the scope of our contract.
Nick is genuinely compassionate and chalk full of integrity. Nick knew my goals and knew our legal system. Nick never forced me to settle, took extra steps to make sure I didn’t compromise, and advocated for the best outcome.
So, thanks Nick for being remarkable in my perfect storm and going beyond your legal obligations. I really hope you make judge one day, because our communities need a neutral no bs judge that will protect our children. If you are lucky to retain Nick, then you'll be ahead of the curve.

The attorney Milan was very helpful with our case, we came to him thru a referral of a friend. When we discussed our case with the attorney he believed us from the very first time. Every meeting that we had with the attorney and his paralegal helped us understand the status of our case, because this was our second time seeking legal advice for our case we truly believed its was not a coincidence meeting the attorney. Like many other families, we were faced with decisions that we really didn’t think we would need to make… my Dad’s dementia was deepening and my Mom, his Caretaker, was beginning to rapidly fail herself.
It came to the point I knew my Dad needed more care than what my Mom was capable of providing. It needed to be done quickly and correctly. Frankly, I was worried my Mom would pass before my Dad.
My parents are retired school-teachers. That means they are not rich, but they do have income. It certainly means they do not have the money for Nursing Home care that my Dad needs, and for that matter, my Mom needed for him to have.
I knew that trying to do the paper work and application for Medicaid was far beyond my ability and know-how. I recognized at that point we needed an Attorney to handle this for us.
I looked for a nearby attorney and found Richard Shea. This was one of the best decisions made in this difficult junction of our lives.
Richard reviewed everything carefully…. He answered questions timely… He worked as a partner with our family.
We are so grateful we hired him…it turns out that one of the accounts my mom had saved money through her job, would have been at risk if we had made the application first. Richard identified the situation and made suggestions on how to restructure it, which we did. While the amounts would not seem large to most people with an IRA or Pension, it was huge for my mom, and meant a lot to her monthly income. This one detail, more than paid for Richard’s fee.
My Dad is in a great facility. My Mom is able to relax and reclaim part of her life because she doesn’t have the heavy burden of caring for my father any longer. She can sleep at night and not have to worry if my Dad was going to get out of bed and turn on the stove and burn the house down! (He actually came close one time.) She is actually getting healthier. During her last check-up, her doctor told her he was pleased with her resurgent health.
I cannot recommend Richard enough. He is well worth his fee since he will fill out the paperwork and handle the application process and deal with the questions from the Examiner. These are details that are nerve racking enough, let alone during a stressful time.
If you are faced with these decisions, I recommend you hire Richard to handle the details. You have enough stress as it is, let him handle the part you that you are not an expert in handling. You will feel a lot better that you did.

Mr. Stilwell understood the scope of what we tried to accomplish and what needed doing. He was extremely empathetic to our situation and went over and beyond our expectations. He was very professional and the advice he gave was invaluable. I believe that without him and the service he provided, that we would still be trying to figure things out. He was also able to expedite the process and accomplished a huge feat within a very small window of time. The process that usually takes 6 months to a year took a little over a month. Ms. Seiler is super attorney. I was so lucky to have her as my attorney. Other attorneys only care about their fees. I have never worked with an attorney like Mr. Dupre. He and his firm, Stone & Associates, are incredibly responsive, approachable, and knowledgable. I have never had an attorney answer ALL of my myriad questions so quickly and thoroughly. And what do most people cringe about with attorneys? The unrelenting and questionable bills for seemingly trivial things. NOT so with this firm. They charge up front and it is not egregious. This allows such a great level of comfort in that you can ask all you need and not fear an onslaught of invoices. Nick Dupre and his firm help remove the stigma that many attorneys have these days.
