I don't think they told me the truth one time during my entire case. After my case is over and I received almost No medical treatment and almost no money, now I am talking to other attorneys. They are all telling me Seigel and Rouhana scammed me and lied to me. If only I had called other attorneys earlier, everything would be different. Do not fall for Seigel and Rouhana's lies. They want to get you as little money as possible. All of their clients say they have been taken advantage of but they don't find out until it's too late. They have a class action being filed against them soon by their former clients. They are thieves.

That won't happen to me, I said. I am not of that race, nationality, or ethnicity, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I don’t practice that religion, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I’m not of that sexual orientation, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I’m not part of that income bracket, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, I don’t have that disability, and so I did not speak out. That won’t happen to me, I said, until it was physically in my face, had me backed into a corner, and was spewing utter vitriol at me. That won't happen to me, I said, he'd never lay a hand on me, until one day the physical aggression caused me physical pain and injury. That won’t happen to me, I said, until thirteen months ago, when I found myself on the phone with a domestic violence hotline. That won’t happen to me, I said, until thirteen months ago, when I found myself hurriedly packing a bag and fleeing my home, and boarding an aircraft out of state, because I feared for my life and safety. Fifty years ago, when my mother and her family escaped their war-torn country with nothing but the clothes on their backs and one bag per person due to religious persecution, I never imagined that one day, fifty years into the future, that I too would one day find myself following in her footsteps, quite literally. I never imagined that I would one day find myself fleeing my home with nothing but the clothes on my back and one small carry-on bag, and boarding a same-day aircraft bound for 1,000+ miles away, because I too feared for my life and safety. Thirteen months ago, when I found myself on the phone with a local domestic violence agency in my state, I never imagined that the proverbial door would get slammed in my face, on the basis that I earned too much money to qualify for any help or support. Since I was born and raised abroad, and with my own family still living halfway around the world, it was in that moment that I truly realized, and that it genuinely sunk in, that I was going to be completely and entirely alone in the process of escaping the cycle of violence. In 1848, divorce was practically unheard of. Most states had fault-based divorce laws outlining the requirements and criteria permitting divorce: lunacy, adultery, desertion, or cruelty. This meant that couples could only pursue divorce IF they could prove, in a court of law, that one or the other had committed one of these offenses. However, given the laws (or lack thereof) governing women's rights and freedoms at the time, divorce was far more complex for women, as they remained at risk of being unable to regain their last names, unable to retain property acquired prior to their marriage, or unable to obtain custody of their children. These fault-based grounds are in stark contrast to the no-fault system that exists across most states today. Today, after decades of tireless advocacy, and thanks to incredible attorneys like Laurie Wasserman and Virginia Yeoman, people are no longer required to remain shackled to their spouses, and have the freedom to escape the cycle of violence. Thanks to the fabulous support of Laurie and Virginia, I've not only been able to survive, but I am slowly on my way to thriving again. The words "happiness" and "divorce" are the last two words you'd expect to see in the same sentence, but that is exactly what Virginia and Laurie have facilitated for me. For anyone considering engaging the services of Laurie Wasserman and her team, from the bottom of my heart, I wholeheartedly recommend them and their entire office. They'll not only save your life, but they will also help re-unlock your door to freedom, health, independence, and joy again.

Kathleen Cahill, JD is a brilliant, very experienced, passionate and dedicated labor attorney who I highly recommend to any client needing support for any legal labor matters. She has an impressive fund of current knowledge surrounding all Maryland labor law and is an absolutely impressive advocate. I have worked with her for 4 years and rely on her for all labor/ employment related concerns I have. I cannot say enough positive things about her. I always trust her expertise and guidance and have recommended several clients to her and will continue to do so. Her dedication to ensuring that her clients receive what is fair and equitable under the law is refreshing. Her commitment to her clients is rare. I truly admire her for her integrity, fairness, transparency and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the best outcomes possible for her clients. She has always impressed with her ability to provide the best clarity surrounding complex labor law and contracts. Again I highly recommend her to anyone needing legal counsel or representation surrounding labor law. If I could give her 10 stars I would :-)

I went through a few lawyers who gave me questionable advices before I came across Kathleen. First of all, she's working directly on my case, not other junior assistants. Second, Kathleen is not only very experienced and knowledgeable about the law, but most importantly, she's consultative and able to advice each step along the way. What's the strategy? What to say/do in what situation? You simply do not get this level of attention and support in other places.

I called this office regarding a dental complaint, the gentleman who answered the telephone told me that Mrs. Green doesn't handle dental complaints. However, he was so very kind, so very thoughtful, that he sent to me via email a complaint form to use with the Maryland Board of Physicians, and followed up with me through the process. I would use them anytime, anytime.

We hired Christine Saverda Nielson for an incredibly challenging contested custody case. We overcame several near-devastating crisis moments only because Christine was in our corner. I personally worked with Christine Saverda-Nielson for the better part of 20 years after a referral from Counsel at Goodell & Devries of Baltimore formerly Semmes, Bowen and Semmes. A friend of the family Ernest Barnes, Federal Trade Commission Chief Administration Law Judge who passed away in 2016 in many personal discussions recommended her as my personal attorney on many legal issues. Her background, her experience and education as a Federal Agent for the US Treasury Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, a Yale Law School graduate have prepared her for my own Federal and Corporate business litigation with tremendous success and outstanding timely results. With any litigation the Counsel that best represents the client is the Counsel who is best prepared and who will be persistent to endure the battle, thrives in competition and pursues success as the end goal. I highly and enthusiastically recommend Christine Saverda-Nielson for any family or personal representation in all legal matters. Respectfully submitted, Kevin D. Jones

A fantastic attorney who did what two previous, higher-priced lawyers couldn't ... we won a long and complicated child custody & support case that lasted years. She is an incredible negotiator who didn't back down from one of the county's most accomplished litigators. She always returned my calls and emails. One of the toughest and hardest working attorneys I've ever met!

I used Rebecca Fleming for a most recent case, and I have been working with her for five years now. Divorce is not easy, but when it comes to it, she has it in the best interest of the child, and no matter what the circumstance is when it comes down to it it’s about the child. I have seen her in court And she is extremely professional, very intelligent on point and one of the kindest women I’ve ever met (she listens to you ) but when you need somebody to fight for your children I would highly recommend her. In this position, no matter what it’s difficult for the mother or the father and you need somebody who is direct and knows what they’re doing. I cannot recommend her enough. Five years ago, I was given her contact name from a family member who knows Marilyn lawyers very well, and she was the first person that he said for me to call.

I am immensely grateful for the exceptional work Amar Weisman has done for me and my children during one of the most challenging times in our lives. From the very beginning, Amar's dedication, professionalism, and compassion were evident, providing us with much-needed support and guidance. Amar's expertise in family law was clear as he navigated the complexities of our case with skill and precision. He always took the time to explain every step of the process, ensuring we understood our options and felt empowered to make informed decisions. But beyond his legal acumen, it was Amar's unwavering support and empathy that made the biggest difference. He was always there to listen, offering not just legal advice but emotional reassurance as well. It felt as though we had a trusted ally who genuinely cared about our well-being. Amar’s commitment to our case was unwavering, and I truly felt that he was fighting for us every step of the way. To Amar Weisman, thank you for being there for us when we needed you the most. Your outstanding service and heartfelt dedication will never be forgotten. You have made a significant positive impact on our lives, and for that, we will always be grateful.
