Grant did a wonderful job in a court hearing regarding a restraining order. He has also helped me with my divorce case previously. I would greatly recommend him. I went to Grant to attempt to get custody of my son. As a Father, I know the courts tend to give the Mother the unfair advantage when it comes to custody of children. Grant was great in giving realistic and thought out comments about how the process works, the typical outcomes of situations, and what information needs to be gathered for a Judge to make an informed judgement. Grant helped me to win custody of my son, which, as a Dad, I thought was never something that would be possible. It's been 4 years now and I'll continue to use Grant for any legal issues that I have. I would equate Grant to a golden lab, he's helpful, thoughtful, listens well and is thorough in his job.

My 82 year old mother and 90 year old father hired Jesse to defend them in lawsuit that spanned several years. After my father passed, I watched bill after bill arrive for my mother. Little detail, never any copies of filings…. Sometimes the bill would say see attached but nothing was attached or included. My mother doesn’t use email so she’d occasionally get a call. Jesse would charge her $35 if she was not home and he left a message for her to call him back!!!
It seemed to me (and having an attorney spouse for 13 years)-after reviewing her bills that they were heavily padded. 6 months from trial Jesse insisted on a hefty retainer. After interceding and at the advice of my attorney-we told him we’d give him a retainer (20k)closer to trial… but why after paying bills timely for 4 years did he need a huge retainer. Once my mother gave him the retainer-almost half was spent in 10 days!!
The case was settled in July yet my mother received yet another bill just last month. She is still upset about this attorney. I would not recommend Jesse.

Tom Foley was interested at first. Then came the endless requests for replenishing the retainer (with arbitrary charges that were not verifiable). As the case went on he grew more disinterested even letting me know how "weary" he was of my case! I knew I was in trouble and hired another attorney which never bodes well. If you want someone to stay by your side and fight for your interests he is not your attorney!!

Thomas Foley was disastrous as my legal representation and charged upwards of $3,000 for absolutely nothing. He talked a great game and was nice at our first meeting beyond that things went down hill fast. He was ill prepared for court and actually hurt my case. He misrepresented me to the judge and had zero of the case facts. He had to be corrected by the judge on multiple occasions, and was fired after 10 days. I hired another lawyer who was amazing. Thomas Foley is not a good lawyer. He is the bad ones who give the great ones a bad reputation.

Initially skeptical, but definitely came through in the end. The prosecutor wouldn't dare budge on a reasonable offer and as the trial approached, all parties remained in suspense, but like a flickering ember that suddenly ignited and caught flame, motions and arguments started being produced which completely swayed the outcome of this case. I'm very grateful for Mr. Koven's diligence and intelligent attention to the minor details of this case. His astuteness should never be underestimated and for this my gratitude is eternal. Thank you.

Brought Noach a residential purchase dispute. I brought it to him because the other party had tried an underhanded tactic to try getting out of the contract prior to getting a lawyer and I needed advice on what to do. He managed to turn this very simple case that was initially in my favor into a very complicated one where I lost everything.
In hindsight, all that needed to be done was to stay silent and let the opposing party alone, but instead he insisted that I try to resolve it peacefully directly between me and the other party, since the other party and I had been good friends before. This led to personal anguish as I ended up getting gaslit and fought on my own with the other party for over a month. That gave them all the time and confidence they needed to completely screw me over. During this time Noach was very uncommunicative. I would email and have to beg for a response after 5 days of waiting. Even at the end when opposing counsel gave just 3 days to respond before sending a complaint, he waited until just a few hours before to handle it and speak with me. Between getting riled up, and feeling like I was alone, it shook me so bad that I told him to consider their awful settlement offer. Then during the settlement process he convinced me that there was no hope and I should just give in and walk away empty handed even though I told him I wasn't comfortable with it and it would hurt me.
At the end of the ordeal he didn't even close the case properly. He just left the firm without a word to me before the closing paperwork was even signed. I had to hear about him leaving from the head of the firm. I wish I had never hired him.

I used Karin as my attorney for a divorce involving children and I can honestly say it was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Not only did she charge me a fortune, but her job of representing me was very poorly done. She grossly overcharges for her services (i.e 30 minutes billed for a 2 minute phone call) and does the bare minimum of what is legally required of her. In my final divorce decree I was raked through the coals even though my ex-husband doesn't pay his child support, was ARRESTED for driving drunk with our children cross-country, and was threatening/abusive for the duration of our marriage and thereafter. Everything that I was "awarded" in the divorce has been seized by the federal government or is irrelevant. Given the amount Karin charges for her attorney fees I 'assumed' she would be knowledgeable on Washington laws. After paying for her services I am worse off than before I started this whole process. I would never recommend Karin Dedona to anyone.

Karin was absolutely amazing. She defended me in a custody case with the father of my child. He claimed integration.. Karin did an amazing job at putting the case together, keeping me completly informed and was a shining star in the court room! The case was appealed and she took the floor again, the entire courtroom was in awe of how she handled things up there! She my x's attorney litterally shaking! She is very honest about cost, and tries to save your money as much as possible! When it comes to your children, a parent needs to know they have the best defending their family.. Karin is more than you can ask for!!

If you choose this guy and get screwed around remember it's not because I didn't tell you so. I paid this guy $3,000 cash up front in full to represent me on my first DUI. I am 42 years old I had a perfect driving record prior to this. I was involved in a accident with myself and no other vehicles which resulted in my situation at hand. I hired this guy under recommendation from a pastor at my church who is over the AA ministry. The first time I met with him he sold me a great story about how it was all about finding weak points in the process that they used wow incarcerating me the night of the accident sounded great to me. At that time I informed him that I had a CDL driver's license and that I would love to be able to keep it. Also that I had a 13-year-old child that I am the single father of and have no one to keep her so I can't really do any jail time. He told me don't worry you won't be going to jail we'll get this if nothing else drop down to something less than a DUI. The case resulted with me losing my CDL. Having to do a class. $4800 in legal fees and fines. And a 90-day suspension on my license. But wait that was only the beginning after a year of going back and forth allowing my case to get switched around to multiple prosecutors he ended up settling for a deal that left me with a DUI conviction. I have to serve one day in jail. I have to have SR22 insurance. And I have to have a interlocker on my car for a yr. Now here's the messed up part when I was in court in the judge mentioned something about an interlocker he told me don't worry about it you already took care of that so I was under the impression that I was only supposed to have it for the 90 days of the suspension. After court come to find out I was supposed to have the interlocker the whole time I have been riding around breaking the law for a year and he never even told me that I was supposed to have this on my car. I have been riding all around the state of Washington with my family not knowing that if I got pulled over I will be sent to jail for automatic 30-day sentence. When I asked him about this after court he said don't worry you're moving out of the state anyway so you won't have to worry about the interlocker or anything that has to do with your Washington license. Today I got a paper from Missouri saying that my Missouri license that I don't even have and suspended for 30 days followed by a 60-day restriction. And that I need to get the interlocker put on my car in Missouri as well. Now I don't know what kind of lawyer you're looking for but if you're looking for one that is knowledgeable of the law. Or if you are looking for a lawyer that is not willing to tell you anything to get you to cooperate with scheme he is concocting then pick Aaron Richie. Oh yeah not to mention six points on my Missouri license that I don't even have!! WORST LAWYER EVER!!!

It won't let me put negative or no stars !!! I don't know where to start about how bad of an attorney this guy really is. I'll start by saying he gave me a price and I paid him in full thinking that that would get me the best representation. Boy was I wrong. The first time I met with the guy we sat down in his office I explained to him that I had a CDL and that I would like to keep it he told me he understood. Upon going on to the next phase I realized that my CDL license had been suspended when I asked him about it he said oh I didn't even know you had a CDL how does your lawyer not know that you have a CDL license strike one. Next he told me that I would not be seeing any jail time seeing as it was my first offense and I have never been pulled over or had any interactions with the law the entire 10 years I have been living in Washington. But when it comes time after a year of telling me we're setting it back so we can get it worked out we're setting it back so we can get it worked out. He comes and tells me that he needs me to do 24 hours in jail or 15 days on house arrest not to mention five years bench probation and over $1,000 in fines. When I went to his office and he opened my file not only did he not remember ever meeting me in person there were other people's paperwork in my file folder. Throughout the case I always had to call him to find out what was going to be happening at a court date he never called me to update me or have me on point about what we were going to be doing on court days. Just pretty sloppy all around. Not to mention the final play in court when they ask something and I didn't think it was correct he told me don't worry about it and then after court was like there's nothing we can do now. In other words I would conclude that this is the worst attorney I've ever had he came by recommendation. I am definitely going to go back and let the person who recommended him to me how poor of a job he did. I would not recommend this makeshift attorney to represent me or anybody I know.
So if you go forward and use this guy this joker know that you were warned by one dissatisfied client.

He doesn't represent the man he represent the woman course - robbing me and lost the case

His huge number of clients make him to "Skip 70% of them and use it as fees!
Do not ever hire him!
Hire a new Lawyer that fight for a name and profession
He is a Ignorant and a man with no respect for the money I pay him.
I would send him to drive a forklift in a warehouse for Fred Meyer !

I'll give Scott an A+ when it comes to winning custody of your children. One time I forgot to copy his assistant on a response to potential contempt charges, which resulted in an untimely response motion. I complained but learned it cost more money to complain because all emails and phone calls are charged to read and charged to respond, plus the complaints always lead to blaming the client. This left me with a choice of rolling over and taking it or finding a new lawyer before settlement conference. I chose to roll over but I regret that choice. I wound up having to fire Scott, hire a new lawyer and go to trial. This could have been a disaster had it not been for my new lawyers high ethical standards. It was a night and day difference.

Scott and his team handled an acrimonious divorce for my elderly mother. Opposing counsel was a money grubbing, appalling excuse for a human being prone to incessant frivolous motions and underhanded tactics. Scott and his team stood up to this and put him in his place. The firm certainly has its way of communicating which initially seemed to be unresponsive, but they more than got the job done in the end. I have dealt with many attorneys in a variety of situations over the years and have never encountered a more professional, ethical and decent one than Scott. He is highly qualified, a tireless advocate and a very fine person. I would recommend him without reservation, Worth every cent.

They say our younger years are mostly trial and error, but in todays society it is harder to make an error without a serious consequence that is potentially life altering as a result. I am a prime example of that, a poor choice of words during my high school career led me to not being expelled once... but twice! One would think you would learn the harsh lesson of reality the first time around, but sometimes we need that extra nudge to move forward and grow up.
Both times Louis was retained as my legal counsel on the matter, and both times he aggressively represented me and got me reinstated. The second time around though, I received some straight forward advice from him. But something that rings true to this day that he made me say over and over is "I am sick and tired of being sick and tired", also known as the politically correct way of saying "I am tired of getting in trouble and costing my parents a bunch of money because I did not think before I spoke."
These events took place back in 2005 and 2007. And because not only of the love of my parents, but the dedication and determination of Mr. Byrd I was able to graduate on time and move forward with my life. Ironically I work in the legal system now, just in a different capacity.
Something that makes Louis Byrd unique as an attorney is that he is very much a straight shooter, he does not beat around the bush or sugar coat anything. He will be upfront about everything in regards to your case, and many people out there seem to have difficulty with facing reality and the tough times.
Nobody is perfect, but Louis Byrd is an exceptional attorney who helped place me on the right path. It took a couple mess ups and some stern straight forward words from him to really set me on the path to move forward with my life.
Louis is an aggressive attorney who gets the job done, and he is well respected within the legal community. If you have an education or criminal matter, I would highly suggest you look into Mr. Byrd.

I let go of my first lawyer (not Cathy) due a large mistake that cost me a lot of money and a lack of emotional connection. Cathy stepped in and was amazing! I had a great experience with her. I went through a very rough separation / divorce and she was there every step of the way, and made sure I was taken care of and made the right choices. She also made me feel she cared emotionally about what I was going through and it helped so much. She is worth every penny! I cannot say enough about her.

Cathy had her assistant file my divorce paperwork (according to Cathy). The assistant did not have me review the paperwork before she just went ahead and filed it. I told Cathy in our first meeting that not having my home address on the filing was of paramount importance for me and my safety, but she

2 filed it without having me check
She amended the paperwork without charging me, but that particular bell cannot be un-rung and my home address became a matter of public record. I had to install security cameras and drastically accelerate my plans to move.
She also made several other mistakes on the initial filing that would have been easily caught by a cursory review by me. But they weren't, because she let my divorce papers get filed without getting reviewed by me.
When she finally completed the new paperwork, she waited a week to file it because her assistant was out of town on vacation. I do not know why no filing could happen with her assistant out of town, but it delayed the whole divorce process for me by a week. This ended up mattering significantly because I had to move quickly. Because Cathy let my home address get publicly listed and I no longer felt safe in my home.
The whole thing ended up costing 40% more than she initially quoted to me, despite the divorce having gone as predicted (except for when she filed my divorce without having me review it, which I believe I was not charged extra for).

Cathy helped me with custody issues that arose after a previously mediated divorce. She kept me honest, kept my child's best interest in mind, and was clear about expectations. I ended up with more time with my child during the summer and kept my ex from feeling like she lost too much. She really made both sides feel like they won and most importantly we can go about comparenting.

I hired Eulalia Soto to take care of a family member's removal proceedings case. Since day one she was direct over the phone but also rude. She never called to ask any questions regarding the case neither visited my family member in detention to touch base with him on the case. I had to call several times to find out the process of the case and every time I called she would tell me she would call back, but she never would. Finally, the day of the hearing, she arrived late, only talked with my family member in detention for about 15 minutes and represented him incredibly poor. His case also required knowledge of criminal justice, since it involved a police report, which she had already been told by me that it existed; yet she failed to properly inform and prepare her self well enough to defend him. Do to her not reading the police report ahead of time, she did not have an argument against the prosecutor, and my family member lost his chance of getting a bail. I highly not recommend this lawyer for immigration cases that involve criminal defense.

This attorney stood up for me better than anyone has. Ever. I was court appointed, but not ONCE treated that way. I think indigent clients often expect to be at a disadvantage, as their is little incentive motivating pro bono work. Mr. Sowder took personal offense at the injustice in my case, and rose to the occasion to expose it. He seems a casual, quirky man, but is CLEARLY respected among his colleagues. I am deeply grateful for the work he did for me. If considering hiring a criminal defense attorney, he is worth every dime.

My overall experience with Attorney Mark Didrickson has been horrendous. If giving no stars for a rating was an option that is what I would give. I hired Mark over a year ago to take care of ONE very simple matter; Mark took my money but did absolutely nothing. Mark would constantly come up with some really preposterous excuse(s) not to work on my case, not to return my emails and phone calls. If by some miracle Mark did set up an appointment with me--Absolutely nothing ever got. accomplished at any of my appointments. Mark also constantly gave me court hearing dates that never ever happened; as he would always come up with some completely absurd excuse/reason that had absolutely positively
nothing to do with my case and would cancel whatever upcoming court hearing date I thought we had. Mark is a complete waste of money and time.

I am mentally ill, and get easily overwhelmed. I could never have gotten my SSI on my own. My therapist referred me 4 years ago. My case was pretty obvious so I got my SSI after the first appeal. Regarding Social Security, Mark does an excellent job of finding the records. He changed my life.

As a long distance Co parent who is disabled and unable to travel, I consulted with and subsequently hired this attorney to do a writ of habeas after child was kept from returning home. That was 3-2016. I still haven't seen my child. She could have been the key to getting an autistic child home but now his location is unknown. She took the case, left out of the country a week later for a week, came back to my panic over new information (allehe'd and false) but refused to check info. Instead withdrew and stated they were too busy to take me on. Since that time I've been unable to gain confidence to go pro se or hire another atty due to severe anxiety and fear.

I hired autumn for a restraining order case for myself and teenage daughter against my exhusband. Paid a tremendous flat fee, she said the case was going to be easy cut and dry and would be done and in our favor. She had my daughter write a declaration and advised she be there for the trial online incase judge had any questions for her. As soon as the judge saw her I was told I was in question of my parenting judgment for having her there and for her writing the declaration, The judge would not let me speak to let her Know that it was my lawyer that had her write those and all under her advisement that it was done and autumn did not speak up or say a word about anything or even in my defense that it was her doing not my own and the case was dismissed With me being in poor judgment. When I asked her why she didn’t defend myself she refused to answer my question and so I wrote to the head of her firm Erin to get. A refund for the unprofessionalism. He advised me That it wasn’t his business what his lawyers dead and would forward my email to her and of course I never did hear back from her whatsoever.

Do not hire!!!!
Ivan was horribly incompetent.
He failed to file simple docs to validate income in the right court case so the court never saw them. He never told me. He failed to argue on my behalf regarding my income so ex got 66% vs anywhere near 50%. Ivan was also fined for opposing counsel’s court costs.
The law firm did forgive $1500 in fees and gave me a check for $1k for his incompetence (Lawyers for Men). He still cost me thousands!!!!

If you retain Ivan after reading this you deserve him as your lawyer. He is the absolute worst attorney I have ever encountered. He is lack luster and lazy at best. You’ll experience this the minute you meet him. Your gut will tell you he isn’t the guy, but then you will second guess it because we all have some preconceived perception our sloppy, unorganized lawyer who looks like he just rolled out of bed and doesn’t take care of himself physically is somehow some super genius. This isn’t a movie!! I am here to tell you he is not. Run!! Also at this point if you move forward (which you should not) this will be the last time you see him in the flesh or talk to him live. Get ready to send emails and wait for days for a response that doesn’t answer your questions. He will never appear in court and will never answer the phone. If you care about your situation, family and your bank account again you will remember this review if you hire him. All I would ask you is to come back and write a review when he burns you, your case falls flat, you get so frustrated you want to scream. When that happens join group and help protect those people who actually need good sound legal help and advice. If I could give Zero Stars I would!
