My husband and I hired Debbie when he filed for custody of his 1 yr old daughter. We were very scared going into this court battle because even though we knew her mother was unstable, courts never want to remove a child from a mother. Debbie was no nonscence in her way of working, she gave it to us straight about what we were facing and what to do. She was very professional and our questions were answered and our phone calls were returned. She did such a great job in court for us we were awrded sole custody. That was 7 years ago and the mother has chosen not to use her visits in 6 yrs, so now we are thinking of terminating her rights and doing a step parent adoption. And Debbie would be our number 1 choice to represent us again.

I would NOT recommend this lawyer. My documents were full of errors that I had to point out and have her correct and then get charged for fixing the mistakes that she made. My name was spelled incorrectly on the final separation paperwork that was recorded with the courts. When I asked her to change the name, she told me "It didn't matter, because it was right every place else and if I wanted my name changed, that I would have to pay for it"
She had to change a single word in a document and charged me 1/2 to do it.
If you do decide to hire her, be very wary.

Dissolution of Marriage has to be one of the more difficult challenges for an attorney to handle these days. Mrs Graff was excellent. She fully explained the process and time line of events. Handled all the paperwork correctly which created an outcome that met everyone’s expectations. At this point I wouldn’t feel comfortable using any other attorney whenever the need arises because she has set the bar to a higher standard.

Jeff hasn’t worked in a while and I can see why. He has to have it his way. His fee was a bit on the higher side for someone who was fine with waiting on their phone call and having them make them appointments. I paid more for waiting that I did actual progress on my case.

Told him my expectations and my 4 issues. He was happy to charge me thousands of dollars to always seem to forget that there was more than just one thing to take care of. When I would ask about the other items that he assured me about, he would become condescending and short with me. Didn’t follow thru on the two most important items, and then hindered me from getting the job done myself. His secretary informed me that I could do something on my own to save money then Chris took it away and threw it into the court system which in turn foiled my almost completed task that would have netted me over 25,000 dollars. Now I have nothing but paper “judgements” when I could have gotten my own money . Would NOT answer direct questions and does not keep user friendly invoices to see where your money went. He DOES NOT answer your emails in a timely manner, if at all, yet charges for each email you send. DO NOT RECOMMEND

His website specifically says he is compassionate and will fight for you! My experience with Chris and Stacy is completely the opposite! If he doesnt feel like meeting with you he will absolutely NOT meet with you or take your call, period! It doesnt matter if you desperately need him. He beats to his own drum. By that I mean he will absolutely NOT inform you of all your legal rights, rather how he wants to control you as his client and the outcome of the case as he sees fit not according to your wishes even if its within your right! He will fight with you rather than for you, that was my personal experience. He was definitely not compassionate in my case whatsoever. I say that because he will threaten to withdraw when you are vulnerable and relying on him completely. He took advantage of me being vulnerable and ultimately settling just to get him out of my life. If you want someone that will hold your hand, he absolutely will definitely NOT do so. Ask him how many times he has been divorced before you ever think of hiring him. He had a absolutely no problem taking my money but NEVER fought for me like he fights for himself to get your money.

Initially skeptical, but definitely came through in the end. The prosecutor wouldn't dare budge on a reasonable offer and as the trial approached, all parties remained in suspense, but like a flickering ember that suddenly ignited and caught flame, motions and arguments started being produced which completely swayed the outcome of this case. Laura did a great job on our child support, parenting plan, and all family matters. She was excellent at arguing in the court. She was very knowledgable. We had 3 lawyers prior to her and she was most certainly the best. We have since moved out of the area and really miss having her as our lawyer. It has been hard to find a lawyer as good as her. On the other hand her paralegal is an idiot. The paralegal constantly got things messed up and we did have to go over all of her work to be sure it was correct. So be sure to check her work.

My 82 year old mother and 90 year old father hired Jesse to defend them in lawsuit that spanned several years. After my father passed, I watched bill after bill arrive for my mother. Little detail, never any copies of filings…. Sometimes the bill would say see attached but nothing was attached or included. My mother doesn’t use email so she’d occasionally get a call. Jesse would charge her $35 if she was not home and he left a message for her to call him back!!!
It seemed to me (and having an attorney spouse for 13 years)-after reviewing her bills that they were heavily padded. 6 months from trial Jesse insisted on a hefty retainer. After interceding and at the advice of my attorney-we told him we’d give him a retainer (20k)closer to trial… but why after paying bills timely for 4 years did he need a huge retainer. Once my mother gave him the retainer-almost half was spent in 10 days!!
The case was settled in July yet my mother received yet another bill just last month. She is still upset about this attorney. I would not recommend Jesse.

Tom Foley was interested at first. Then came the endless requests for replenishing the retainer (with arbitrary charges that were not verifiable). As the case went on he grew more disinterested even letting me know how "weary" he was of my case! I knew I was in trouble and hired another attorney which never bodes well. If you want someone to stay by your side and fight for your interests he is not your attorney!!

Thomas Foley was disastrous as my legal representation and charged upwards of $3,000 for absolutely nothing. He talked a great game and was nice at our first meeting beyond that things went down hill fast. He was ill prepared for court and actually hurt my case. He misrepresented me to the judge and had zero of the case facts. He had to be corrected by the judge on multiple occasions, and was fired after 10 days. I hired another lawyer who was amazing. Thomas Foley is not a good lawyer. He is the bad ones who give the great ones a bad reputation.

I used Karin as my attorney for a divorce involving children and I can honestly say it was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Not only did she charge me a fortune, but her job of representing me was very poorly done. She grossly overcharges for her services (i.e 30 minutes billed for a 2 minute phone call) and does the bare minimum of what is legally required of her. In my final divorce decree I was raked through the coals even though my ex-husband doesn't pay his child support, was ARRESTED for driving drunk with our children cross-country, and was threatening/abusive for the duration of our marriage and thereafter. Everything that I was "awarded" in the divorce has been seized by the federal government or is irrelevant. Given the amount Karin charges for her attorney fees I 'assumed' she would be knowledgeable on Washington laws. After paying for her services I am worse off than before I started this whole process. I would never recommend Karin Dedona to anyone.

Karin was absolutely amazing. She defended me in a custody case with the father of my child. He claimed integration.. Karin did an amazing job at putting the case together, keeping me completly informed and was a shining star in the court room! The case was appealed and she took the floor again, the entire courtroom was in awe of how she handled things up there! She my x's attorney litterally shaking! She is very honest about cost, and tries to save your money as much as possible! When it comes to your children, a parent needs to know they have the best defending their family.. If you choose this guy and get screwed around remember it's not because I didn't tell you so. I paid this guy $3,000 cash up front in full to represent me on my first DUI. I am 42 years old I had a perfect driving record prior to this. I was involved in a accident with myself and no other vehicles which resulted in my situation at hand. I hired this guy under recommendation from a pastor at my church who is over the AA ministry. The first time I met with him he sold me a great story about how it was all about finding weak points in the process that they used wow incarcerating me the night of the accident sounded great to me. At that time I informed him that I had a CDL driver's license and that I would love to be able to keep it. Also that I had a 13-year-old child that I am the single father of and have no one to keep her so I can't really do any jail time. He told me don't worry you won't be going to jail we'll get this if nothing else drop down to something less than a DUI. The case resulted with me losing my CDL. Having to do a class. $4800 in legal fees and fines. And a 90-day suspension on my license. But wait that was only the beginning after a year of going back and forth allowing my case to get switched around to multiple prosecutors he ended up settling for a deal that left me with a DUI conviction. I have to serve one day in jail. I have to have SR22 insurance. And I have to have a interlocker on my car for a yr. Now here's the messed up part when I was in court in the judge mentioned something about an interlocker he told me don't worry about it you already took care of that so I was under the impression that I was only supposed to have it for the 90 days of the suspension. After court come to find out I was supposed to have the interlocker the whole time I have been riding around breaking the law for a year and he never even told me that I was supposed to have this on my car. I have been riding all around the state of Washington with my family not knowing that if I got pulled over I will be sent to jail for automatic 30-day sentence. When I asked him about this after court he said don't worry you're moving out of the state anyway so you won't have to worry about the interlocker or anything that has to do with your Washington license. Today I got a paper from Missouri saying that my Missouri license that I don't even have and suspended for 30 days followed by a 60-day restriction. And that I need to get the interlocker put on my car in Missouri as well. Now I don't know what kind of lawyer you're looking for but if you're looking for one that is knowledgeable of the law. Or if you are looking for a lawyer that is not willing to tell you anything to get you to cooperate with scheme he is concocting then pick Aaron Richie. Oh yeah not to mention six points on my Missouri license that I don't even have!! WORST LAWYER EVER!!!

It won't let me put negative or no stars !!! I don't know where to start about how bad of an attorney this guy really is. I'll start by saying he gave me a price and I paid him in full thinking that that would get me the best representation. Boy was I wrong. The first time I met with the guy we sat down in his office I explained to him that I had a CDL and that I would like to keep it he told me he understood. Upon going on to the next phase I realized that my CDL license had been suspended when I asked him about it he said oh I didn't even know you had a CDL how does your lawyer not know that you have a CDL license strike one. Next he told me that I would not be seeing any jail time seeing as it was my first offense and I have never been pulled over or had any interactions with the law the entire 10 years I have been living in Washington. But when it comes time after a year of telling me we're setting it back so we can get it worked out we're setting it back so we can get it worked out. He comes and tells me that he needs me to do 24 hours in jail or 15 days on house arrest not to mention five years bench probation and over $1,000 in fines. When I went to his office and he opened my file not only did he not remember ever meeting me in person there were other people's paperwork in my file folder. Throughout the case I always had to call him to find out what was going to be happening at a court date he never called me to update me or have me on point about what we were going to be doing on court days. Just pretty sloppy all around. Not to mention the final play in court when they ask something and I didn't think it was correct he told me don't worry about it and then after court was like there's nothing we can do now. In other words I would conclude that this is the worst attorney I've ever had he came by recommendation. I am definitely going to go back and let the person who recommended him to me how poor of a job he did. I would not recommend this makeshift attorney to represent me or anybody I know.
So if you go forward and use this guy this joker know that you were warned by one dissatisfied client.

I'll give Scott an A+ when it comes to winning custody of your children. One time I forgot to copy his assistant on a response to potential contempt charges, which resulted in an untimely response motion. I complained but learned it cost more money to complain because all emails and phone calls are charged to read and charged to respond, plus the complaints always lead to blaming the client. This left me with a choice of rolling over and taking it or finding a new lawyer before settlement conference. I chose to roll over but I regret that choice. I wound up having to fire Scott, hire a new lawyer and go to trial. This could have been a disaster had it not been for my new lawyers high ethical standards. It was a night and day difference.

Scott and his team handled an acrimonious divorce for my elderly mother. Opposing counsel was a money grubbing, appalling excuse for a human being prone to incessant frivolous motions and underhanded tactics. Scott and his team stood up to this and put him in his place. The firm certainly has its way of communicating which initially seemed to be unresponsive, but they more than got the job done in the end. I have dealt with many attorneys in a variety of situations over the years and have never encountered a more professional, ethical and decent one than Scott.
