I finally received my green card, working with Daniel was an incredible experience. After 9 years immigration journey with another firm, he stepped in last year with total dedication, professionalism and knowledged and deep understanding of immigration law and his genuine care for his clients made all the difference.
I have to say my case was complicated, involving asylum, an EB visa, and TPS. Daniel was always responsive, patient, and thorough, answering all my questions and helping ease my anxiety. His calm, knowledgeable approach turned a stressful situation into something much more manageable.
On a side personal note he also eased my Advance Parole travel experience and helped me to see family after 9 years ..

I have a disability EEO case with my workplace. So far, through consultation, I've spoken to Kyle twice and he is very thorough. Yurika was everything I could ever ask for in an attorney. Seriously....I can't think of anything she could have done better. My wife was in the country legally on a J-1 visa and we decided to get married and file a marriage-based adjustment of status (for a green card). It was painless the whole way through. Before even compensating or retaining Yurika, she literally answered each and every question I had regarding the process and even had the courtesy to look over our documents to confirm we had everything in order to file with USCIS. This played a huge part in us committing to be her clients. Her firm and paralegals are just as accommodating throughout the process. Ask anything, and they will give you clear and concise answers. We had our final interview last week to which Yurika prepared us for and even accompanied us to the interview with the USCIS officer present. My wife has since been approved and we are just waiting for the green card in the mail. Couldn't recommend her more if you're reading this post. As a plus, I shopped around beforehand, getting 4-5 quotes from immigration attorneys in the D.C. Area and Yurika's cost was the most reasonable; that, coupled with her highly rated reviews, you can't go wrong.

I cannot more whole heartedly recommend attorney Yurika Cooper for your immigration needs. My husband and I had what turned out to be a fairly complex marriage based petition, and what should have been a 6 month relationship with attorney Cooper stretched into 4.5 years. During the long delay our case experienced (which, by the way, had nothing to do with Yurika's work - we experienced a long delay on USCIS' part) we not only were never charged more than the flat fee we had agreed to at the beginning of our case, but attorney Cooper continued to do whatever she could to push our case forward. Since we had to wait so long, again on a delay from USCIS, she eventually referred us to a litigator to file a lawsuit based on the delay. We liked attorney Cooper so much that we were genuinely terrified to leave her. As it turned out, we were eventually successful and the new attorney, who checked over everything that had been done before he came on, found that everything was complete and that she had done everything possible before recommending a lawsuit.
As a client, I can tell you that Yurika is everything you want in a lawyer. She usually gets back to any email within 24 hours, and can usually set up calls within a few days. She is also open to office meetings. Anything that was mailed to her office was followed by an email saying that they received it, and she was prompt in getting things submitted. She also manages her own schedule, so you don't have to go through a gate keeper to get to her. In addition to being responsive, she has tremendous "bed side manner" and always takes time to chat and point out the positive aspects of your case. I know that bed side manner doesn't seem that important when you start a case, but if your case goes off the rails it will be incredibly important to you. Could not recommend her more, she literally saved my family.

Mr. Koehler represented me as the petitioner in a DC CPO case, a horrific affair, 9 months of stalking, harassment, threats of violence and extortion. If I could give 10 stars I would. Mr. Koehler is that unique combination of highly knowledgeable and competent, while being incredibly personable. He handled the horrendous twists and turns of my case with such humanity, care and genuine concern for me (and the law), all the while navigating the DC legal system and the process for me with the utmost professionalism.
After winning my case yesterday, I had the best night's sleep I've had in months. I slept so peacefully and soundly -- like I haven't in a very long time. As many people often do, I realized (too late) that I may have made a mistake in handling a situation and could have potentially opened myself up to liability. This review is long overdue as it has been a few months since my case was settled. Nonetheless, I hope that it helps someone. Though I have a long story as it relates to my injury, I will keep it short — just know Mr. Kearney and his team were with me the entire duration. lock step. I was injured at work about ~8 years ago. My case was longer than many. During those eight years I went through every tactic you could think of from the various insurance companies and adjusters who handled my case. During those eight years, WC insurance found reasons to deny a treatment, or to not pay my benefits, or to make me wait 6 months for a hearing to only agree with our demands the day of (which happened on 2-3 occasions), and everything in between. Their goal is to make an already bad situation even worse. At times they succeeded. However, Mr. Kearney kept fighting for me and never budged. Even when things would become overwhelming and I wanted to quit, he remained calm and consistent while encouraging me to push forward. His tenacity resulted in a settlement that I had honestly almost lost hope on. That is what you get with Mr. Kearney. He is a known and respected entity in the world of injured persons/workers. Opposing counsel knows him and when they greet him you can sense the respect they have for him. Same goes for judges; he knows them, like really knows them. If you need someone to truly fight for you while keeping your best interest paramount, look no further. It is honestly a no-brainer. If he agrees to take you on as a client, jump at it. You will not find more competent, prepared, personalized, experienced, honest, and compassionate representation in the DC area. I went out of my way to thank Mr. Kearney and his team as much as I could while he represented me and am happy to have the pleasure of thanking him again, on a public forum, while encouraging anyone who has been hurt to make Donohoe-Kearney your first call. I hope it will also be your last. I pray everyone gets healthy and receives what they are due.

I first met Johnathan as opposing counsel on a case during my time at the Office of General Counsel at the USDA and I came away impressed. Despite his young age at the time in 2013, he carried himself extremely well and objected during the deposition when he felt the line of questioning had diverted into dangerous territory for his client. If you are looking for a top caliber lawyer that is reasonable and understands her clients' needs, then Ms. Baker should be your top choice. I recently worked with Ms. Baker in the drafting, negotiation and execution of a pre-marital agreement; a situation that is often very difficult to navigate. She was responsive, extremely thorough and her zealous advocacy always took in to consideration the outcomes I desired.
As a fellow lawyer, I have experienced many situations in which zealous advocacy has served only to further frustrate relations and outcomes for clients. And while zealous advocacy is often intended to achieve the best result for the respective client, it can have the opposite effect and drive parties further apart.

I recently had one of the worst things imaginable happen to me. I had a shady person from my past file a protection order against me, for the simple reason of hurting my career. They knew that this would have a drastic and negative impact on my career so I decided to fight it. There are lawyers in DC who have mastered the Google algorithm so they kept coming up over and over and over again with every search for a DC criminal attorney and when I called to talk to them, I was referred to a different lower level attorney at their firm. I found Jon from his reviews after interviewing 3 other attorneys. His fees weren't the lowest or the highest but in the middle and he was flexible with a payment strategy. He spent time with me to understand the case and understood the outcome I was seeking. These charges were pure fiction and to this day am still in shock at how our legal system caters first to scammers, and only modestly to actual scam victims. Anyway, long story short, less than a week after meeting him we had our court date and he facilitated exactly what he said.
If you've been fraudulently accused of something criminal, you need an attorney that will get in and fight for you. They shouldn't stress you out in order to prepare you for rate hikes or fees outside of what was originally agreed on. Jon gave me a flat fee solution and he did everything he said he would. If I ever had a close friend or family member that needed an attorney, I'd immediately refer them to Jon Norris without hesitation.

I first came to Jon a year ago with my very first legal issue. I was honestly floored by how unpretentious, and non-judgmental he was and immediately wanted to hire him. I hired Jon to represent me in a misdemeanor sex abuse case related to an incident at a bar. I was initially represented by a public defender that told me the DA would not move off of the charge or offer any sort of diversion. The victim was so upset that she had requested jail time.
I hired Jon, who after many court appearances and negotiation with the prosecutor's office got the case dismissed! No diversion, no plea deal - dismissal. It is my understanding that by using a more technical legal approach pertaining to the charges, as well as obtaining some evidence from the bar that worked in my favor, Jon was able to poke enough holes in the DA's case to convince them to drop it.
In addition, Jon is responsive to client needs and questions throughout the process. He has a very professional demeanor in court and had a great rapport with the judge in my case.
I would absolutely recommend Jon Norris. I would be sitting here with an ugly charge on my record if I had stayed with the public defender assigned to my case.

I am one of the lucky people who has called Mark my friend since 2001. He and I lost touch for a number of years, but I always felt like if I ever got in personal legal trouble, Mark would be the first person I would call. And, he was. Last year Mark swiftly stepped in to defend me against a TRO filed by my (now former) upstairs neighbor to gain advantage against my husband in a longstanding condo dispute. So I was facing Charges for driving while drunk in DC and they found my concealed carry (pistol) under my seat and my Virginia License to conceal carry wasn’t recognized by the District of Columbia. But Thankfully Mr. Shawn Sukumar’s amazing Knowledge and experience in his field was able to get the gun charges dropped and I was able to avoid any jail time (aside from the initial arrest) and in the end had 6 months unsupervised Probation with 90 hours of community service, 12 hours of an alcohol class, online driving safety course, Online MADD course and a 100 fee I believe was it. And after all that the judge signed a Youth act order meaning my conviction was removed from my record. All in all I was very satisfied with the end result of my case. Highly recommend this gentleman, he is very professional and makes sure his clients understand everything and is very good about staying in contact with his clients and keeping them updated. You would Definitely want him representing you if you needed an attorney.

I had an EEO case and felt very lost. I reached out to a previous law firm before Pitre and Associates, I did not have much faith in them. I continued researching and came across Pitre & Associates. My case was lengthy but it was handled and walked away with what was necessary. My dignity, and being able to apply for the gov with a new, clean SF-50. Overrides all they (the opponents)attended to do to my career. Was also compensated for damages.
Pros: you will come out with something good amd benefitial with Pitre & Associates.
Cons: It can get costly. Stand up for what you believe in, but be ready to spend some coins. The great thing is Mr. Pitre fights for you to get that money back. Thank you God!!
I would certainly hire the firm again. I recommend the firm to anyone feeling lost and dealing with an EEO, Harrassment, hostile work environment, discrimination. I pray, I never get in a position like that again. It was emotionally draining. Michelle was my fave attorney, although I did not have her for too long. It is not just a job to her, she cares for people. I sensed that. Mr. Pitre is extremely knowledgeable and extremely responsive; he became my other fave at the end.
My wish is: I had found them sooner for some advice before I had even attempted to deal with this. I was high risk pregnant in a very unhealthy situation. Some professional guidance would have helped. They are on my emergency call list if I come across something like this again.....God willing.

I am a father of two kids and a project manager. My divorce was the first process in my life that I had no idea how to manage despite having a career working with people and two advanced degrees. My (then) wife simply dropped all communication and I could not get her to talk about the roadmap for separation and divorce even though we still lived under the same roof (and it was her idea). After being in this situation for over a year, I was getting depressed. I had consulted an attorney who had recommended me to just give my would-be-ex everything that she wanted.
Then I found Ms Moheyer's support group and it changed my life. Every other week, for years, she has led this call-in forum for fathers at different stages of their divorce situations - pro bono, as community service! That group gave me the knowledge of what's possible and the confidence to be able to move things forward. In addition, I took an online workshop (the best $100 spent in my life) and got the tips on establishing dialogue with the partner that leads to re-establishing the degree of mutual trust enough to complete the divorce. Several month later, we were able to nail down some bullet points that were appropriate for us and helped us avoid litigation.
We filed for mutual consent divorce with property separation and shared custody, and several more months later this was done. I still can't believe that in a matter of nine months, Ms Mohyer's support group and her workshop resources helped me get from a very dark place to personal freedom, stamped and approved by the court in MD.
I still attend the support group to discuss the challenges of co-parenting, and this experience is invaluable. Here is why I would recommend this attorney:
*she never pushes services on you. Instead, she lays out the options and I saved a lot by doing the things I had an option of doing the prep work by myself (like collecting some paperwork) that another attorney would have done at a handsome hourly rate).
*She uses psychology to provide tools that enable some kind of dialogue between parties, making the process less painful and less expensive.
I have recommended Ms Jennifer Moheyer to a number of friends, and now that my divorce is in the past and the "paper is dry", I hope someone in a similar situation (in DC, MD, VA) can get assistance.
