I hired Attorney Schofield to take over my case from another attorney. I was so beaten down when I finally found Mr Schofield, but he managed to restore my faith in (some of) the legal industry. I was amazed and so relieved at his integrity, expert negotiating, consistent communications, and follow up. He quickly got the best possible results for me in only a couple months after 2 years of previous delays, critical missed filing deadlines, gaslighting, huge retainer fee, fee shifting, and case abandonment by another.
Mr Schofield's assistant is perfectly in sync with him and keeps things running efficiently with her professional and thorough communications. What a great team!
It is very important to deeply research whom you hire - and be sure they don't farm out your case. Check into disciplinary actions and complaints at the Florida Bar and other websites, search online reviews, contact other clients, and review case files. Become familiar with the Rules of Professional Conduct and know your client rights and grounds for malpractice. Hiring the wrong attorney can be very costly and emotionally devastating - at a time when you can afford neither.
Hire Mr Schofield from the start and avoid a lot of needless suffering and expense.

As a result of Covid, I found myself in a situation where I needed an attorney to help me recover my security deposit. This was an unusual situation because funding for my loan was pulled two days before the scheduled closing due to market conditions surrounding the pandemic. After some research I retained Ward Damon to help with this matter. Attorney Leitner was assigned to my case and has done a wonderful job resolving this issue to my satisfaction. Scott and his team were excellent to work with. I was involved in a head on collision at a very busy intersection by a woman going 45-50 mph. She failed to stop at the red light and ran right through this intersection on a sunny dry morning at 9:30 am. As a pre-existing condition (potential) client I was unsure how my health condition would result in a positive settlement outcome. In speaking with a colleague, I was referred to Scott and went in for a consult. Scott felt that pending new imaging and comparing it to my most recent (less than 1 year old) imaging that I potentially had a case as an "eggshell" plaintiff. Long story short and multiple therapies later (2+) years I was able to avoid multiple adverse life altering surgeries at the present time-pending further neurological damage. Throughout this entire process, Scott and MG worked diligently on my behalf. Their patience and professionalism was steadfast and there was never any pressure on myself-only my best health and physical interests were at the forefront. I needed to file bankruptcy and was very lost on how to go about it. I called a couple of attorneys and did not feel comfortable. I called Ryan Loyacano and immediately he made me feel relaxed and confident in him.

Attorney Ozment and his staff were extremely helpful in guiding me through my Chapter 7 case. From the first meeting, I knew that I wanted his office to represent me. He outlined my options, explained everything about bankruptcy and filing simply and clearly, told me how much it would cost and payment options, helped me to understand the differences between the various chapters, and followed me through the process every step of the way. A week before my trustee meeting, his office scheduled an appointment for me to talk with Atty. Ozment by phone so he could explain the trustee meeting, how it would work, what questions I might be asked, and to go over information in my petition to make sure I understood all the details in the document. I really appreciated the time that he took to do that as it helped me be less nervous for the meeting. The staff in the office were also very helpful, kind, and supportive throughout the process. I had been using Mr. Cripps from the time my son was 2 for my initial divorce and child support and his fathers indiscretions until he was 13. Never once did he promise me ANYTHING! There were times I felt so frustrated and wondered what the hell he was doing? Why wasn’t he ordering drug tests? Why wasn’t he fighting harder? All the while what I didn’t know was that Mr. Cripps knew the system inside and out and knew it would not fly. Not to mention the integrity and trust he has built with the courts is stellar! They know he’s not there to just throw anything at the wall to see if it sticks. The many many times we were in court we won, EVERY TIME! And when my sons father would show with a high payed attorney that his mom payed for they would try and bs, along with my ex, and lost! The one thing I truly regret was listening to a friend who convinced me to use another attorney at a very crucial point in time, that he had used and I ended up paying probably about 6 times what I would have paid with Cripps and I know he still would have done better than she did. I still won but even she didn’t think she did. There is no doubt in my mind he would have too! And better! Mr. Cripps would always talk me down. I was very emotional, scared, lost, angry, all the things! And he was so patient with me. I will never forget the one thing I always remember and carry with me that he told me, “he will hang himself” he said to me. At the time that frustrated me but when I look back I can tell he knew the type. He simply has seen it all. Mr. Cripps has a secret guys. He reads people. He knows what he is doing without having to charge people what these other thieving lawyers do! All with integrity, honesty, trust, and just no bs! So if you are looking to spend a lot of money on a “tiger” go right ahead! But my money would be on Mr. Cripps every time! He truly is a Godsend!

For the last 12 years, I have been dealing with lawyers, both professionally and in my personal life, unfortunately. I trust Mr. Dyer and his firm like I trust my family. It didn't take long for me to learn they take pride and care in all cases, large or small, high-profile or just your average person. After originally consulting with Jeffrey in 2017 and beginning my immigration journey to the US with him, Jeffrey was clearly knowledgeable and well versed in immigration law. I always enjoyed working with him and the members of his offices over the years and appreciated their clear checklists of what I needed to provide during the process. They made an overwhelming task feel much more simple and I was successful in obtaining my work permit and Green card within about 13-14 months of initially speaking with him in Florida, at his office.
It was easy to renew my relationship again with his office in 2020, when they reached out to me as a courteous reminder of my status at the time. During what was already a stressful year, Jeffrey and his office made it easy to do the process virtually while I was also living in New York. I was so grateful that I was able to continue the relationship with him during this time as it made the process much less difficult. There were some stressful moments working with USCIS and scheduling appointments, however, I appreciated the support I had from the paralegals I was also working with at the time to help with getting through those challenges.
I have since recently consulted with Jeffrey again about my current and future status in the US and look forward to working with him again in the future. We called on a Saturday and he immediately said I'll go in and meet you at my office. He is honest and diligently gets all the facts before advising. He will let you know exactly what is to be expected and what steps will be taken. He would answer any of our questions at any time. He was available by phone, email or text if we needed him no matter what the issue was. He made a difficult time so much easier, just knowing he was on it made a huge difference. He is experienced and knows what is needed and gets it done very efficiently. Even after he was paid and all was done he still contacted us at later dates to make sure all was going well.
