In 2022 the Stamford Monument Company was involved in a highly specialized carving project in Stamford Veteran's Park, Stamford Connecticut. Upon completing nearly ninety percent of the project Stamford Monument encountered the general contractor's resistance to pay for Stamford Monument's servicesrendered. At that point Stamford Monument was forced to seek legal representation to resolve this matter. Stamford Monument interviewed numerous law firms in the area. Stamford Monument was then directed to consult with a New York law firm of Welby, Brady and Greenblatt, the firm specialized in construction law cases. I then contacted the firm and spoke to Thomas Welby. I was impressed with Thomas Welby's knowledge of construction law and then decided to retain the firm in representing Stamford Monument in this collection matter. Attorney Austin Brown was assigned to file. I have worked in the construction industry for over fifty years and collection matters are difficult to collect to say the least. Austin Brown represented Stamford Monument perfectly, he presented our case in a highly detailed manner and was extremely well prepared for trial. Stamford Monument ultimately prevailed was awarded a judgement in access of our expectations. I just recently had to take someone to court for a small claims suit. Typically small claims court makes it easy for individuals to file and appear before a judge with no need for legal representation; however, this case was VERY personal to me. Someone had belongings of mine that had enormous sentimental value to me, and I was freaking out about the entire process. One thing that stuck out to me right off the bat was how Brittany took the time to listen to my situation, without judgement- there were a lot of "different" factors about my particular situation, but she really took the time to listen and ask questions so she could get the "full story" without jumping to any conclusions. She took the time to sit with me and review everything I had, and made some amazing suggestions as to what I should add to my claim/evidence I should bring with me to provide to the judge. I am happy to say, that the matter was settled, and the judge had order the belongings be returned to me. I would definitely say, after having been through the process, my outcome may have been significantly different had Brittany not advised me.
In my experience, dealing with lawyers is sometimes really challanging- I have dealt with lawyers who are extremely busy, and you can just tell; it almost appears that you are more of a burden to the lawyer than anything; not Brittany!! There were a few times I reached out, and she didn't hesitate to take the time with me, despite her hectic schedule. Because this matter was so personal to me, I really felt awful going into the process, but she really made me feel at ease, and assured me that as long as I present what I have I would be fine. This was a huge relief! She was clearly very knowledgable about her profession, and was honest with me- she told me what could go right, but also what could go wrong. That type of honesty was extremely valuable to me! She gave me direct answers to my questions, and if she couldn't answer my question (because all judges are different) she was honest about that as well. Between her effort, knowledge, and honesty, I would recommend Brittany to anyone who ever asked if I "know someone."

Gerard ("Gerry") Brady is a superb, smart, attentive attorney whose practice primarily involves construction and real estate development matters. With an undergraduate degree in engineering, he understands the relationships between the facts and the law, and between the theoretical and the practical reality.
Gerry has extensive experience not only with "disputes" and "litigation" but also the "corporate" side of construction and real estate development matters, that is, the preparation of contracts designed to avoid disputes and litigation in the first place. His physical presence, extensive experience, command of the subject, and steady demeanor have been helpful in counteracting the overbearing, aggressive style that is typical of many attorneys who handle construction claims matters, and other real estate and construction disputes.
In my position as a corporate counsel, I have hired him as outside counsel to handle matters both as attorney for plaintiff (to collect monies for work performed) and for defendant (defending against claims for work performed improperly), and have been pleased that he has the ability to handle both equally well, in part because he is able to see both sides of the picture, regardless of which side his client is on. He has also been helpful on many occasions in resolving disputes before they reached litigation, and also in mediation and in arbitration.
His firm, Welby, Brady & Greenblatt, is small enough to assure personal attention while being large enough to assign sufficient people to handle whatever matters the firm takes on. The firm also has attorneys with a variety of specialties to assist in more complex matters. The firm's clients range from mid-sized construction subcontractors up to the largest of multinational corporations, and include many names that would be instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with the construction and real estate development industries, that his firm has had as consistent, repeat clients for many years.
I would strongly recommend Gerry Brady to handle any matter he says he is willing to handle, by which I mean he can be trusted to say what he thinks and to truly render his advice, whether favorable or unfavorable, and to say whether he thinks a matter or issue should be pursued or not, or whether he thinks some other attorney might be more suited to handling the matter. I rate him a 10 out of 10 under any measure.

Gerard ("Gerry") Brady is a superb, smart, attentive attorney whose practice primarily involves construction and real estate development matters. With an undergraduate degree in engineering, he understands the relationships between the facts and the law, and between the theoretical and the practical reality.
Gerry has extensive experience not only with "disputes" and "litigation" but also the "corporate" side of construction and real estate development matters, that is, the preparation of contracts designed to avoid disputes and litigation in the first place. His physical presence, extensive experience, command of the subject, and steady demeanor have been helpful in counteracting the overbearing, aggressive style that is typical of many attorneys who handle construction claims matters, and other real estate and construction disputes.
In my position as a corporate counsel, I have hired him as outside counsel to handle matters both as attorney for plaintiff (to collect monies for work performed) and for defendant (defending against claims for work performed improperly), and have been pleased that he has the ability to handle both equally well, in part because he is able to see both sides of the picture, regardless of which side his client is on. He has also been helpful on many occasions in resolving disputes before they reached litigation, and also in mediation and in arbitration.
