I only made it as far as a phone call seeking help for a modification of a divorce decree and was told by the lady that answered that they don't do that here. Very confusing as the firm is listed with a keyword of divorce and the website also mentions both items I asked for help with.

I called the office trying to get a consultation, the receptionist asked me which attorney I wanted to meet with. I’m not familiar with the process so I responded that I don’t know, any attorney that can do a consultation. She said that she could book me 2/4/6 weeks out. I had the pleasure of working with Alyson for nearly 4 years on a divorce case with a covert narcissist who suffers from various mental health issues in addition to his personality disorder. It was a nasty and stressful case with a completely uncooperative defendant but ultimately it ended up in a total, outstanding victory for me and I can unequivocally say that it was due in large part to Alyson being my attorney.
Pause and take a deep breath...I hope your case won't be like mine but if you suspect that you might be in for a ride, stop, get on your knees and thank the Lord that you came across this review. If you're a serious person who is doing your best to do the right thing then Alyson is your attorney. In fact in my search for a lawyer, Alyson Lembeck's name came up multiple times both from highly respected professionals who work with the court system and recently divorced people in my network. These people did not know each other and I have since thanked them profusely for their recommendation. Alyson is a Top 50 Woman Lawyer in Atlanta who can help you not only as a divorce attorney, but with your prenuptials or as a Guardian ad Litem amongst other services. Even through the final hearing, Alyson was not only fighting for me, but setting me up for future success by making sure certain key facts went on the record so that should I need to come back to court for contempt, which is highly likely, future legal actions would be more likely to work in my favor. I was both in awe and so appreciative of her foresight and wisdom.
In wrapping this up, I want to give you a few pieces of advice. Your lawyer is not a therapist or a private detective - therapists and private detectives are cheaper. Have a good support team in place and understand that no matter how good your attorney is, at the end of the day you are the subject matter expert on your case!

Alyson Lembeck is utterly unflappable, focused, knowledgeable, and efficient. Her associates and staff are all professional, kind, and responsive. I never had to follow up with them for responses, which, as an attorney myself, I know is exceedingly unusual. She and her team provided support and guidance during the scariest time of my life. Alyson assisted with me with a post-Divorce Settlement Agreement where the OP was seeking alimony in perpetuity by exploiting weaknesses in the contract language.

My wife and I worked with Suzanne during a custody and child support modification that my ex-wife filed around the time when the previous poster who chose to remain "Anonymous" commented and gave a one-star rating. To that poster - you know your case better than anyone else including your attorney and if you catch something in a draft document that your attorney didn't - so what. It's your case so you should be reading the documents, catching things, and making changes/suggestions too. If there is something that is important to you, then stick to your guns. Don't blame your attorney because something that they might not view as important in the grand scheme of the case may be very important to you for some particular reason. So communicate that to you, it is important and why it is such and recognize that sometimes it is easier to give on something if it means you can move on.
For me, I was extremely pleased with Suzanne on everything from responsiveness, timeliness, counseling within the legal guidelines, documenting, settling, and finalizing the entire custody and child support modification. In working with Suzanne, I felt that it was a team effort - my wife and I had our role, Suzanne had hers, and we coordinated on everything in between - strategy, ideas, negotiating points, documentation, etc. She is very direct, engaging, and is very timely in her responses and turnaround time. My only regret is that I didn't have Suzanne as the attorney for my divorce and the first modification. Thanks, Suzanne.

Me and my wife recently finalized an adoption with Ms. Prescott. We initially started the process with another lawyer and was getting no where. My wife located Ms. Prescott and gave her a call. From the very first meeting we felt very comfortable with her and she was very excited to work our case. There were some snags along the way but not from their doing. There were several waiting periods on certain things but her office stayed on top of them and communicated what was going on when we asked and even when we didn't. The adoption was very sensitive and Suzanne made sure certain things were not mentioned to our daughter. Really and truly we just kind of sat back and cruised through the whole process. I am now the daddy to two beautiful children and have Suzanne and her great office staff to thank!!!!

My husband and I ran into some very difficult legal complications 1 week before our adopted-baby-to-be was born due to our status as Canadians living in the US on work visas. Although we had satisfied all the requirements to adopt, we were notified at the last minute that due to recent changes in adoption law, our adoption would be considered international (despite living in California since 2016 and purchasing a home a week before this took place). The agency handling our adoption told us they could no longer help us and recommended finding an international adoption lawyer.
Along came Irene, who right from the start was reassuring, friendly, and professional. Irene took up our cause and reached out to the agency that dropped us and convinced them to have their legal team collaborate with her to create a case for the courts that argued in our favor. Irene is someone you want in your corner because she has a lot of friends in high places, many of whom she contacted in order to streamline our case. After working with Irene for just 3 weeks, and only 2 weeks after the birth of our son, we were able to take him home with us to California.
Since our return, Irene continues to check in on our son. The cost of her services is remarkably inexpensive for the expertise, compassion, and resourcefulness that Irene brings to the table. Thank you "Auntie" Irene - we will forever be in your debt!!!

My husband and I, in a very round about way, found ourselves embarking on a journey adoption from Sint Maarten, a country with no current path to adoption. We found out mid way through we needed to work through a Hague approved attorney or agency. There were no agencies working in Sint Maarten so we immediately started looking for an attorney. We are SO happy we were able to find Irene and her team. Irene was VERY frank from the get go. She didn't sugarcoat anything which we appreciated so much. We had been told this and that and were given false hope a lot throughout this process and were very discouraged, so to have someone so open and honest about the hurdles we would need to get through was so refreshing. Irene was able to outline all of the steps her team would take to see this through. She was open with the fact that it wasn't a sure deal, but that they would take steps to analyze the entire situation before moving us forward and would do anything in their power to help us adopt these boys. They have taken point on some of the paperwork and processes that were bogging us down and causing a lot of frustration, she and her team clearly know how to navigate the adoption legal system. They've always kept in tight communication throughout the entire process. Two and a half years ago our very happy and peaceful life in retirement came to a very sudden halt. My sister died unexpectedly and without a will. We live in Pennsylvania and definitely needed legal help. After reviewing lawyers with top ratings in Cobb County, I contacted three lawyers by email. Steve Worrall responded in 2 hours. One of the other lawyers contacted me days later, and the third not at all. The initial contact was not just a legal one, but also one saying how sorry for our loss in a genuine way. I've been working with Kathleen over the past several months to redo my will. I learned so much from her during our first hour long consultation.
Kathleen drilled down into the details of exactly what I was trying to account for financially for my heirs. I had some "out of the box" things I wanted to do with my will and she listened and advised. Never realized that the last lawyer that did my will didn't even ask me to designate who would manage my grandchildren's trusts. Secondly, I had never considered that leaving my 401k and pension plan to the estate would be taxed vs. leaving directly to my kids would allow them the option to rollover the money for their retirements.
