No one wants to go through the painful process of divorce let alone have to deal with fairly dividing assets. But if you do, then I highly recommend Laura Hoffman. From day 1 she was kind and compassionate and really listened to my needs and desires. She was incredibly patient with all of my questions and indecisions. She was firm when I needed her to be and took the time to clearly explain all options and ramifications. She looked out for my best interest when I was unable to do that for myself. Talk about a position you never want to be in. My marriage suddenly and unexpectedly ended two years ago. I was devastated, but for everything that was going wrong, I knew instantly that hiring Laura Hoffman was the right thing to do.
Despite being in my 60’s, I’ve never really needed an attorney for reasons other than minor estate-related things. Laura is very empathic, certainly. However, whether I liked it or not, she led with what I NEEDED to hear - not what I wanted to hear. Laura knew I still loved my wife. Laura ALSO knew that MY WIFE knew I still loved my wife.

I found Elliot after interviewing several other attorneys that I just didn’t trust. It seemed to me like everyone else was all about the money and not concerned about my case. Not Elliot though. He met with me after his normal business hours, assured me that he will do the best he can for me and he sure did deliver the exact results I was expecting. I recommend him. I am pleased with the results. He is very responsive, if he doesn’t pick up he always texts back or returns your call. Elliot Green helped our family immensely. Unfortunately, our family suffered when my daughters' mother behaved erratically, threw the children out of her home, and no longer could properly care for them. Because of Elliot's hard work, and the excellent job he did in direct examination at the trial, I won sole legal and residential custody of both children. Actually, Elliot did a supreme job, better than expected -- as I had gone into the proceedings thinking I would get residential custody and not legal custody, too. There are pauses, and then there are telling pauses. I heard the second type a couple of years ago after police came to my door to ask a few questions about my Internet habits. Harmless, friendly questions, but laced with suspicion. I immediately contacted Mr. Becker. (I had his name from a highly regarded attorney in family law...he described Mr. Becker as a "real killer.") Mr. Becker told me in consultation that if the police came again, not to answer questions but refer them to him. In a day or two, a female officer called me on my home telephone and said she wanted to enter my apartment to inspect my "devices." I told her she would have to speak to my attorney. "Who is it?" she demanded, After I said "Gary Becker," came the pregnant pause. About a year pregnant. Then she muttered something that sounded like “Forget it,” and hung up! This was a big relief. There was nothing amiss on my devices, but I worried about a terrible hassle and planted evidence. Two years have passed and I've had no more scary calls or visits. Mr. Becker's very name, it turns out, is mighty medicine.

Really 4.5 stars. Through 4 years (all while I was overseas) of estate discovery, filings, depositions, delays and litigation, I am very appreciative that I had Regina (and her firm) as my advocates through a very stressful and frustrating process. I think Regina knows the law backwards and forwards, is very personable and I always appreciated her steadfast manner, experience & beliefs about how the system really works. Of all the lawyers I’ve dealt with in my life Neil Flynn at Horn Wright, LLP is the only one who took the time to listen to everything I had to say and answer all my questions before even discussing how he would be paid. Once we laid the foundation for our attorney-client relationship, he gave me several options including a straight contingency fee, a retainer/hourly rate fee structure or a hybrid of the two. His bills were always reasonable and when I questioned something he made sure to discuss it with me in person until I was satisfied. Most importantly, he did a fantastic job representing me and my small business when we needed a civil litigation attorney.
