Mr. Kassman is a great attorney backed by an incredible staff who work really hard. We had a horrible tenant that had to be evicted in Suffolk County and Mr. Kassman laid out a plan and executed on it flawlessly. He took dozens of phone calls, and so did his staff from us and reassured us throughout the entire process. We are really grateful. Looking forward to using him for other needs that we have because he’s full service. We got the eviction and we got our lives back and we owe it all to Mr. Kassman and has a great team. He tried to contact me within a day after I tried to leave a message. After consultation, he even called a few more times after coming up with extra options regarding our case even calling after regular business hours. I got my dismissal for a ticket that i reveived while i was riding my motorcycle between lanes. A ticket received 5 years ago. Court outcome has been postponed for 5 years in a row and it finally got dismissed. Miss Ortiz and the whole firm are just specialist in TVB matters. Bill answered every question of an extremely complex case that concerned property in another state while I was a resident of in New York and the other state. Bill also advised after answering every question I could come up with including some of his own that would be pertinent whenever I filed. It would be prudent of me to first make inquiries with attorneys for filing in another state to retain property I owned there while I was a resident of New York and that state, Bill at a later date also expounded on every issue that one may encounter and possible remedies that would fulfill the requirements of the trustee and Judge when the issue was concluded. Miss Adrienne Woods picked up her phone directly when I called. At first it seemed like a decent conversation was to be had with Miss Woods about possibly hiring her for help with filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy, however that became extremely questionable as she quoted $7,500 to file chapter 7 bankruptcy to me, a person with no assets, and a low income. Again this was for a single person, one income, not a business and no assets and I believe that that amount is illegal to quote for chapter 7 bankruptcy. I hope that this company looks into Miss Woods in depth and people stay weary of her. She seems to think others don’t know the law.

I had a bit of anxiety over filing bankruptcy like many people probably do. I also felt embarrassed to be in this situation. Ken, however, always treated me with respect and honesty, and never made me feel worse about the situation. He laid out the entire process step-by-step and provided all the information and resources I needed to complete.. In the end, my agreement was able to help me be in a far better financial situation or at least one that I could see light at the end of the tunnel. He was insistent on creating a plan that I could achieve and not one that be doomed to fail. Communication was always timely and clear. Ken helped me in so many ways , first was chapter 13 and feeling confident that he would win our case. And we did . When Covid-19 came about , it was a different sort of story for me and my family . I had to quit my job of 8 years to stay home and Remote Virtual teach my new Kindergartener . So all bets were off . I had no income and no way to pay my Chapter 13 trustee . I went to Ken , asking to help me convert to Chapter 7 . This was all brand new to everyone , himself , me , the courts , the creditors , as this is a Pandemic and I was not fired , I chose to quit to keep my family safe . I have been a client of Jim's for over a year now. During this course of time, Jim has demonstrated how well informed he really is on bankruptcy and issues dealing with the SBA. My first consultation before becoming a client of Jim's, he took the time to thoroughly explain to me all the different steps I would be going through in shutting down my business and bringing to close the dealing with the Bank and SBA. Made a free 3PM consultation appointment that was sent to voicemail due to another unrecognized number dialing in at the same time. By 3:04, after hearing the message left from the firm, I promptly called speaking to someone who sent my request on, and emailed the man who originally scheduled the intake. Days later, not a word.
Writing the review for those looking for a law firm that doesn't treat you like another number, clearly they moved in to the next caller, regardless of preparing notes, and blocking off the later afternoon. It's an amateur mistake that dissuades any confidence despite the other reviews

The team at the Office of Alexander Paykin did an excellent job of handling a foreclosure on a private loan we had made. It's a hard pill to swallow when you come to a point where you must debate on whether you should file for bankruptcy or not. After weighing all possible options, I decided to file and was referred to Robert Fox. It had started as an initial phone call with quick questions regarding your income, your debt and your expenses. This is what they call the Means test. After answering all the questions, I was told I was a "good" candidate to file. We then proceeded to schedule a future date to talk again going into further details about my debt and expenses. What was really nice for me was i asked if we should talk over the phone or meet in person. Robert said it was my preference and really didn't mind if I chose either way. He understood that people were busy and couldn't always make time to travel to his office. However, he did suggest that meeting in person would be more personable. That right away made me feel a bit more relieved during the process. It gave me a sense of security in knowing he wanted to do his job and do it right. And if it meant putting a face to a file, then i was all for it.
On my office visit, I was greeted by Iris at the front desk. (Please pay attention to her. She is another instrumental person in the process). Very pleasant and nice lady. After meeting with Robert and getting all the things done during our discussion, Iris gave me papers to look over and sign and gave me my list of things to do over the next couple of days. She also told me she would be in contact with me from time to time til my hearing. And in the days leading up to my hearing, she always gave me detailed instructions on everything and anything. Don't worry, Robert was always available for me whenever I had any questions.
Now one thing before I end my review. You, as the client, must do everything asked of you by Robert and Iris if you want the whole process to go smoothly and without a hitch. If you do your part, and do it right, they can do theirs correctly.
Robert and Iris, thank you for everything. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you again.

In the fall of 2015, I suffered a crush injury on a construction site in NYC. I was taken on by what is considered one of the top law firms in the North East. 6 months into my case, they dropped me citing the difficulty in winning my case.
