I don't even know where to begin. It's now been a little over a year since my husband and I made the call to Hallaq Law. It was the BEST decision we made and a huge burden was lifted! I received a ticket in Grant County and it was a challenge to locate a firm that would go there.

Had an excellent experience with Len as my lawyer. Got a ticket for speeding and a criminal citation for driving without a license. He was able to get both issues dismissed and all I had to do was take a driving class. Nothing went on my record or insurance. Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome!

I recently purchased a company and Keil worked as my Lawyer through the process. He was exactly what I needed and his advice was timely and served me well. During the negotiations of the purchase agreement he was patient and answered all my questions and helped me avoid pitfalls that I would have fallen right into without his help. He also helped me structure my other LLCs and register them with the state. I actually wish I had gotten him involved sooner as it would have eased the purchase. When I did get him on the team, he got up to speed very quickly and took us across the finish line. I will be using Keil for any of my legal needs going forward with my companies. Everything was in place to close on a real estate deal after a group of neighbors had banded together to purchase a collection of vacant lots. But the deal went sideways when the sellers refused to sign/close, and stopped communicating with their agent. We hired Britney to sort out the mess, which she did splendidly and quickly. She expertly and very promptly closed all the exits to protect the parcels from alternate deals and/or disruption (multiple Lis Pendens filings completed within a week of first contacting Britney). Britney's communication was rapid and thorough, and she represented multiple parties in the same action very effectively. Faced with the overwhelmingly strong hand Britney laid on the table, the sellers backed down and agreed to settle/close and pay legal fees. Overall, the closing was delayed 6 weeks, but that's much faster than we feared a legal action might take. The team at Hanson Baker was also a real asset, utilizing Keaton Hille for litigation matters and Cathy Anderson for keeping the wheels rolling. Billing breakdown was very detailed and transparent. I would not hesitate to utilize Britney and the Hanson Baker team again, if unlucky enough to face legal challenges again in the future.

After reviewing a number of attorney CVs Britney's experience and expertise encouraged me to conclude she likely would provide excellent counsel for property transactions I was undertaking. And I was delighted when she agreed to represent my interests in purchasing a home in the San Juan Islands and in creating an option associated with the purchase.
The transactions involved the sale of property in California and the purchase of the island home via a 1031 exchange. The experience was a new one for me and not without questions as to how complicated it might become.
From the beginning of the process Britney was truly exceptional on a number of levels. Dennis Brislawn is an exceptional lawyer. He is very professional and he helped me with a difficult problem I was having with a suppressor I bought while I was living in Washington state. I purchased the Bronze level trust of the GUNDOCX Trust system (which Mr. Brislawn created ) in November of 2012 and was approved by the BATFE and received my stamp in May 2013. My husband took a job transfer to Texas and we moved before I could get my suppressor so I applied for a form 20 to transport the suppressor. Things became more difficult for me when the dealer I bought the item from lost their FFL. For several months I tried to get the matter taken care of and it became more difficult since the dealer could not help me . I could do nothing on my own. Then I contacted Dennis around April of this year to see if he could help. He made phone calls and advised me on how he could handle things. He also updated my trust from the Bronze level to a Silver level since I now reside in Texas. I flew to Washington state this June and I was finally able to get my suppressor. Without Dennis Brislawn, I wouldn't have been able to fulfill a childhood dream of owning a suppressor. I put the wheels in motion back in February of 2013 when I created a trust and applied for the stamp. About 10 months later, the ATF finally approved it and I raced down to my local dealership to pick it up. Unfortunately, during those 10 months, I fulfilled another childhood dream of changing my legal name and this barred me from getting the suppressor since it was for the trust with my former name. We want to express our deepest gratitude to Courtney Bhatt for her recent work on a complex special education issue in a rural school district in the greater Seattle area. Our gentle, autistic child was in a miserable kindergarten situation in which she was repeatedly intimidated, humiliated and punished for autistic behaviors (including an inability to express herself verbally) by untrained staff assistants and a classroom teacher who inexplicably refused to fully incorporate the advice of autism experts. All polite attempts we made to address these issues ourselves failed. Add to this scenario a principal with a history of secretive behavior and a district special education director who routinely bullies and intimidates staff, students and parents. It was an absolute mess and our young child suffered greatly—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Moreover, the district placed our child and her disabled peers in a moldy classroom which sickened our child (as well as other children and staff) and then steadfastly refused to address the issue in a timely or thorough manner.
The good news is that all this changed when Courtney entered the equation. Courtney has polite, soft-spoken mannerisms but is firm and very authoritative. She sorted through the multiple violations of special education law and obtained a formal mold testing. This testing confirmed the existence of black mold and above average levels of several other types of mold in a few classrooms, including our daughter’s. Courtney skillfully navigated the unprofessional and unethical behaviors of two district administrators and certain school staff. Keaton helped us navigate a dispute with the builder of our custom home.
