While on vacation in Boston, I was falsely accused of a serious crime, arrested, and faced with felony charges.
After spending the night in jail, I was assigned a public defender who was entirely unfamiliar with my case. Unfortunately, not only was this public defender incompetent, but he also lacked the appropriate credentials to handle a case of such seriousness.
I was facing a minimum of five years in prison, and my bail was set at $60,000. The public defender made no effort to fight for me. He didn't attempt to have my bail reduced or identify any weaknesses in the case against me. Instead, he simply agreed with the prosecutor and judge, and I was sent back to jail.
After three nights in jail, my family informed me that they had hired a criminal defense attorney named Paul Moraski, who would be visiting me in a couple of days.

I called Paul blindly after finding his firm on google. He spent an ample amount of time with me, asked detailed questions about my situation, and gave me suggestions that ended up paying off in a big way. I spoke with 5 or 6 lawyers, and he was by far the best. He's a straight shooter and he's moral, which seems rare these days. Any time a friend runs into a labor issue, I'll give him/her Paul's name.

I would assume most people who engage with an attorney for help are working through a difficult situation. Jeff helped us with a confidential settlement with a product that had bogus claims and was overstating its value. I would assume most people who engage with an attorney for help are working through a difficult situation. Mine was nuanced and he listened intently before offering sound advice and providing multiple paths forward. He was also honest. This was a situation that could have required many hours of his counsel, and a hefty investment on my part, but Darius steered me toward an effective strategy that was best for me instead.

I reached out to Zach who was Reccomnded though someone at Harvard law criminal justice department.
