I reside in Florida, my slip and fall accident occurred in Ohio. To keep it short, I used a highly respected law firm in Florida, who contracted Ray Critchett as their Ohio based lawyer. Ultimately the Florida firm broke the contract stating the case would go to trial and even a win would not be enough to cover the costs.
Ray Critchett offered to represent me on his own and I said ok.
I am so glad I did and very grateful. He was kind, caring, patient. He has excellent communication skills and I always felt heard. Outstanding Divorce/Child Custody Lawyer – Highly Recommend!
My case involved a divorce with children, filed by my ex-husband who lives in Ohio, while I reside in Minnesota. Despite my ex-husband and his lawyer insisting that the case should include child custody and be handled in Ohio, Catherine, who was well-versed in child custody laws, raised a key issue: under the UCCJEA (Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act), Ohio did not have jurisdiction over the children. The opposing party continued to push for a trial involving both the divorce and child custody in Ohio, even though this was legally improper. Ultimately, Catherine and I prevailed, as it was determined that Ohio lacked jurisdiction over the children under the UCCJEA. As a result, the divorce was finalized without any decisions made about custody, which would be addressed in Minnesota instead.
I am so grateful for the exceptional legal support I received from Catherine during my divorce. Going through such a difficult and emotional time was incredibly stressful, but she made the entire process so much easier to navigate. From the initial consultation to the final resolution, Catherine was there every step of the way, providing not only expert legal advice but also compassionate support.

Despite paying for their services in full, they mishandled my case by submitting incorrect documentation, leading to delays and unnecessary stress during the visa process. To make matters worse, they demanded extra money beyond the agreed-upon contract amount, claiming it was for unforeseen circumstances—issues that should have been anticipated with proper diligence.
Their lack of accountability and professionalism was evident throughout. They acted as if they were providing a free service, despite the significant fees I paid. Instead of acknowledging their errors, they attempted to mask their mistakes by blaming and suppressing.
I do not recommend this lawyer or firm to anyone seeking reliable immigration assistance.

I cannot say enough great things about Kia and the incredible work she has done for me and my children. From the moment she took on my case, she was relentless in ensuring that every detail was handled with precision and care. When my property tax exploded higher, for motives I did not fully agree with, I turned to Chuck. I never met such an efficient lawyer. Every communication, whether with him or (usually) with his staff had a point. I never had to repeat myself. They never lost anything, never misunderstood anything. His practice has helped me save thousands (or is it already a five figure amount?) on property taxes, just with expertise and efficiency. It's like the proverbial plumber who knows how to solve the problem with one gentle tap in the right place. Plus, everyone in the practice is a pleasure to deal with. Nobody wants a reason to contact a lawyer, but if you find yourself in need of one, Chuck would be my first call.

Through this work I have had the great pleasure of working with Mark on several different legal issues regarding county government, including a lawsuit against my home county of Seneca. The case that was handled by Mark was of National and State significance. Mr. Landes was successful in defending the Seneca County Board of Commissioners and our ability to govern locally.
