I purchased an investment property in Ft Myers 2005. With the banks approval I tried to short sell the property, upon receipt of a sale they couldn't find who actually held the mortgage. I defaulted in 2009. In 2013 the PMI company initiated a proceeding via several different law/collection agencies. Mr.. Gregory Champeau, esq. defended me as they had also decided to seek financial reimbursement from my wife who wasn't legally part of the transaction. He was successful in that the judgement would only apply to me. My assets were all TBE (except for one) which prevented collection. In 2019 the collections agency became more aggressive, Patrick Neale, esq, was brought in as his expertise in addressing various attempted garnishments and his litigation skills were needed to address various court hearings initiated by the collections agency. It was discovered that an investment account me and my wife opened in 2005 was set up as Joint Ownership with Survivor Benefits. Unbeknownst to me a JWROS account is not afforded the same level of protection as a TBE account. Mr Neale was able to draw upon case law and present it in a fashion that helped to bring closure. The end result is that with Patrick Neale's legal expertise and Mr Gregory Champeau negotiations skills I did agree upon a favorable settlement. The only other option was to be continuously harassed by the collections agency for years to come.

Obtained Mr. Amos for a custody case, paid a $400 fee to hear my story and the fee was never added to my retainer. Months went by with substantial changes, contacted his office by calling and email and my case was worse as the months went by. Retainer was refunded of course with a fee so in the end Mr. Amos made $750 for his bogus, legal contract both party’s signed. This attorney is overwhelmed and word of mouth in town is not a good one. I wish I knew what I know now. I would have felt better giving the money he made off of me to someone that really needed it, if I must. Do not WASTE your time. You do matter!

The highest confirmation of skill a lawyer can receive is when another lawyer elects to retain their services. I did just that in the frivolous ex-spouse matter that came from left field against me nearly 8 years after my divorce. Kent Amos is a lawyers lawyer. While it is a confirmation of confidence it can also be overwhelmingly difficult on the lawyer. Kent handled it masterfully. I have and will continue to refer matters to Kent without hesitation. He’ll talk a good game until it’s time to act on it, and then you’re left with $10,000 less in your account and someone who bent you over the table. And no, not in the fun way! Kevin Lottes was hired to close the sale of my condominium in Naples Florida and file my application for FIRPTA. After telling me he had extensive. experience in this area he not only failed to make the necessary application in a timely manner, he failed to intercede on my behalf when problems occurred with an opposing counsel and passed on my file to someone else in his firm without notifying me and never responded further to any emails. I am now having to wait perhaps up to a year to recover tens of thousands dollars from the IRS unnecessarily. Based on this experience I cannot recommend this lawyer.

I had an appointment with him at 9:30. The lady at the reception had no clue and she said he wasn’t there that she was going to call him. I waited and she said he wasn’t answering so I left and said if he was going to be late I didn’t want to use him.

I hired Misbah Farid for my divorce. In 3 months, all she did was file the divorce papers. I had a major issue and called her 16 times to which I got NO return phone call, just a bill for all my calls. I told her I could only afford a certain $$ amount monthly to then which went 6 times the amount I could pay. This attorney cannot be trusted to do what she says she will do. I put my life in her hands and she did absolutely NOTHING!!!!!

I would not recommend hiring Mr. Skrivan for legal assistance. After my father passed away, I was in need of legal guidance with his estate. He never answered my phone calls or replied to my emails. He did not follow through with my instructions and he dismissed my concerns. It has been almost one year and my father's estate has not been distributed. Mr. Skrivan terminated his professional relationship by a letter without explaining why and he kept $2,000. I'm very disappointed in myself because I had trusted him. Do not hire him.

Retained this attorney in late February for a March 16 2021 closing. Told there was no problem and all documents were ready to close. It is now July 23 2021 and still no title policy or survey in spite of being emailed on June 1 that they would get me the documents. Went to the office on or about June 8th and was told they would courier documents to my hotel. Have notified both realtors of the deficiency and have contacted Old Republic Title to get their assistance. My problem is that it was a cash transaction so there was not a lender's attorney to protect me against my own attorney. Have filed a complaint with Florida Bar.
