Attorney Stratton got the job done, and our case went the way we wanted it to go. This was a very clean, open-shut child visitation agreement case. He was easy to hire, had a pleasant attitude, and got the issue resolved. However, the reason I can't rate five stars is because trying to get in contact with him in between court dates was almost impossible. At one point, it actually took him an entire month to return my phone calls, and by the time I spoke to him again, it was too close to the court date for the information to make a difference. I even tried to communicate through texts but that didn't effect the timeliness of our correspondence. He is a very difficult person to get ahold of. For our last court appearance in October, he was actually late. We had agreed to meet at the court house at 10:15AM, but he didn't show until almost 11:15AM. Thankfully the judge waited so we didn't have to reschedule, but the anxiety of my lawyer running late for court was overwhelming. Attorney Stratton seems to have too much on his plate at all times, so if you're a client who likes weekly updates or check-ins regarding the status of your case, or even just being able to get in touch with your lawyer without any issues, then he is not the lawyer for you. Our case ended two months ago and I'm still trying to get in contact with him and his office to receive a final bill so I know if I owe him more money or if there was money left from the retainer fee that he owes to me. I wish I could give him 5 stars but the lack of communication from the time I hired him in June until now in December has made what should have been a simple court issue into a long, drawn out process of anxiously waiting.

I was in an hydroplaning accident that totaled my vehicle. Was going below the speed limit due to the weather and hydroplaned into oncoming traffic. I've never had to deal with such poor service from an attorney's office. Closing on construction loan delayed twice because they didn't communicate with the bank. Getting a lien search to distribute funds took over 4 weeks. It took a call directly to Lee Taylor to get the check cleared. I will no longer be a client after this construction loan is completed.

I have been in the market for customized employee handbooks exclusively for my company’s needs for a while now. I have purchased handbooks and have hired companies to prepare one for me as well. These companies have all advised that they would customize my hand book to my company, yet! each time I have been given handbooks that either don’t apply to me or just 100% generic to the letter that it was embarrassing. While I had an okay experience speaking with a paralegal, it didn't last long. After waiting for days to hear if a lawyer could help us, we were informed there would be a $300 consultation fee to speak with the lawyer. Still was never told if they could help or not. You know, for them to boast about being the areas largest and well respected law firm, they seem to be very greedy. I guess when you get to that point, you can charge what you want and rich people can and will pay it. Many lawyers these days forget why they got into the business or their oath to help people. If you have the knowledge and experience, the least you can do is sit down with someone for 30mins to hear about the case and determine if you can help them without charging. Or put on your website that you charge a $300 fee to consult so as to not waste anyone's time. But thank you to Heather for being polite.

Mr. Colbert was very strategic throughout the whole process!! My best friend was faced with two assault felony charges in the name of self defense. If convicted, he would have been sentenced with over a decade. Damon represented my best friend during trial with smart and strategic arguments/ proposals. Keeping the courtroom well informed of every detail that led to what took place. My friends and family were able to feel confident and comfortable, as we watched his representation. Which was a relief because leading up to trial we didn’t understand Mr. Colbert’s strategy or approach. But we chose to believe in him, and it all made sense in the end! My best friend walked out of the courtroom with all charges dropped, after months of incarceration! I highly recommend Mr. Colbert, especially for high level cases!
