Mr. Armistead is a fantastic attorney. Not only is he experienced, but he is extremely knowledgeable and detail-oriented. Nothing gets past him. He has a commanding presence in the courtroom and knows procedures and evidence like the back of his hand. I would certainly not want to be the attorney against whom he is trying a case. I without hesitation recommend Mr. Armistead for anyone in need of an attorney for a contract dispute or family law issue.

This is my opinion of Mr. Strong; Incompetent. I'd hired him to represent me on a slam dunk personnel injury case and ended up firing him after 2 years. At the time that I signed an agreement for representation, I was suffering from head trauma and did not understand that the retainer agreement he presented meant that if we settled or went to trial, he was entitled to 45%. He scribbled something over the agreement, saying "oh this isn't important" and when reviewed later by different attorney's they laughed, and pointed out that the scribble meant nothing. My experience and opinion of him, is that he is a person of dishonesty and unreliability. I'm happy I fired him, but unhappy with the time, resources and money lost because of him.

Outstanding attention to the full history, context and details of the matter by Samantha in the firm. Very patient with me explaining the best options to resolve a contentious estate situation that had gone on for 3 years previously where another very strong firm was on the other side using "low-ball, then delay then obfuscate, then avoid" tactics with my prior counsel. Once formally engaged on the case, Samantha resolved the entire matter w/in approx 4 months for a reasonable fee as well considering the amount of time invested in the process (Expect it to be a process of back and forth and attrition BTW!). I couldn't be more pleased with the firm, Samantha and Kara's professionalism, teamwork or the positive results for my family's future!

I would not recommend this law firm for military divorces. They might do a good job outside of those types of cases, however I would not recommend for military divorce cases/settlements. From my experience, they are definitely not the best option when it comes to military based divorce cases.

This Attorney is a joke! I consulted him about an Eviction Proceedings against me and he was really condescending. Firstly, he stated that my Landlord can still evict me even if I come up with my past due rent before the court hearing which was contrary to what another Attorney in the area advised me upon as well as the law in Virginia. As long as you can cure an outstanding balance a judge will allow you to stay since the reason for the Unlawful Retainer was about unpaid rent. I hope he sees this and does better with his client. He even belittled me by stating that since I don't have money for the my Landlord I definitely do not have money to pay him-such an unprofessional fellow! The prejudice and belittling was unbelievable during my phone conversation with this guy! I know most lawyers are arrogant but this guy leads them in that category! I do not recommend him at all.

I regret to inform that my experience with The Coastal Virginia Law Firm Of Brook M. Thibault P.C. was profoundly disappointing and lacked the professional rigor one would expect. Engaging Mr. Thibault as my attorney, I anticipated a robust advocacy for my interests. Unfortunately, the reality was a hurried and disjointed process that led to a custodial agreement deeply unsatisfactory to my needs—one that was not only settled without my prior consent but also executed without my signature.
The lack of communication was a significant issue throughout the process, exacerbated by the non-cooperation of the opposing party. Despite these challenges, the expectation was that my legal representation would navigate these complexities with professional diligence. Instead, there was a premature rush to resolution, evidenced by Mr. Thibault’s unilateral decisions to sign off on agreements and letters without my input.
This approach not only compromised my legal standing but also resulted in substantial financial loss without achieving the desired legal outcomes. Came out to look at an issue we were having with our home builder. Asked us to write up a summary and they would let us know what options we have. I took the time to put together a detailed summary and never heard back. I followed up with them and they said they would give me a call, and never did. If you don’t want the work or don’t think we have a good case, why not just say so to my face instead of wasting my time?

Wish I could give it zero stars. I was recommended to Doug Wilson by another lawyer for a simple filing process to transfer a deed into my name. I was told by the secretary that he was unavailable and sent to the voicemail of his partner PAMELA. It’s few times in my life that I have spoken to such a rude, condescending, unprofessional individual. I wouldn’t use her services if they were free.

A bit lacking on customer service and manners. Every time I call them my "hellos", "good mornings" and "have a nice day" are greeted with silence, a hang up click or some snarky response.

Call me old fashion, but I do appreciate a respectful exchange and greeting. Especially if I am paying top dollar for boilerplate templates I could potentially fill out myself.

Bottom Line - Colleen Haddow is the BEST attorney I could have ever wished for --my only regret is that I didn't start with her from the beginning.
Ms. Colleen Haddow came as a recommendation from my previous law firm following failed mediation in a highly complex, contentious, and financially draining divorce and custody case. The opposing counsel - whose professional reputation precedes her as a person devoid of ethics and civility, made finding a willing, capable, and affordable replacement daunting. Colleen personally and immediately took my call for an intake interview. When I opened by informing her of who opposing counsel was, she simply laughed with complete confidence, accepted my case, and immediately got my case moving on the right track.
Unlike opposing counsel in this case, Colleen is a legal professional with impeccable integrity and ethics; but not to be confused with someone who submits to bully tactics or shies away from confrontation in or out of the courtroom. In contrast, Ms. Haddow is emotionally intelligent and well versed in the rules of the court to effectively persuade and, if need be, compel cooperation from even the most difficult of personalities. Got me convicted of a crime I did not commit. * To be clear, I understand that it was the system much more than it was my representation and I was foolish to think I'd beat a charge in family courts just because I was innocent of the charges laid against me. That said, I wish I would had been encouraged to swallow my pride and accept the plea bargain offered me instead of brazenly heading into court only to be convicted to the fullest extent without an iota of evidence to support the plaintiffs case. Further, if I thought I was reviewing the prosecutors who fought and succeeded in getting me convicted of a charge I didn't commit I suppose I could give her no less than 4 stars, and if I could rate the judge, I'd give him 0 if it were possible. Utterly devastating to experience such a travesty of justice. *

Mr. Brown is horrible lawyer. She is all about money and not listening to her clients. Every other month they’re a new person working on my case. She does not work well with her clients. Three years of shelling out money every month with not one things accomplished on my case. I’m in the same situation as when I started. Still not divorced. Still have unresolved issues and she doesn’t care. She is not willing to work with you at all. Her office staff is horrible to deal with nothing gets done in a timely fashion. It’s all on their schedule. It totally ridiculous that the law office can take advantage of pin their lowest moments.

Worst lawyer ever! To start, he never provides a direct phone number to reach him. He then charges for what his emails say should be "free" consultations. When I questioned why he is charging me for a consultation that his office states was free, he quit on me with out issuing me a refund. He never provided any services and "claims" he did work. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON HIM!

Timothy is an example of how lawyers should be in a perfect world. I'm not saying that he knows everything off the top of his head or that he can't be wrong but Mr. King has made me feel like the money is not the most important thing to him. Meaning that he did not always go with the option that drags things out. Instead for me, he aimed at a optimal resolution to genuinely improve the lives of my kid and the opposing party. To help improve our lives and move them forward in a meaningful way. Not only did he give legal advice and help, He really helped me discover what I know/feel is best. Through adversity of his own life, I felt his advice came from a place of real understanding. He isnt afraid of a fight I wanted one and he is very capable of helping you discover what you really want. Being a parent is important to me, my kid is all that matters. I asked him to give his honest opinion and be straight forward with me and it was refreshing. If you are debating on trying Timothy's services out give it a try. He will work with you. If you’re considering legal representation by Camille Crandall, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience with Ms. Crandall was not only disappointing but financially devastating. Her handling of my case was fraught with serious errors that resulted in significant monetary losses, and I am compelled to share my story as a cautionary tale.
One of the most critical aspects of my case was the accurate valuation of a major asset. Unfortunately, Ms. Crandall failed to secure an updated appraisal at a crucial point in the proceedings, leading to a gross undervaluation of the asset. This oversight cost me a substantial amount of money, a loss that could have easily been avoided with competent representation. What’s more, her inability to correct this mistake even after it was brought to her attention reflects a troubling level of negligence.
Additionally, Ms. Crandall’s mishandling of the financial aspects of my case did not stop there. When it came to determining my financial obligations, her failure to adequately argue and present necessary evidence resulted in an unrealistic and exorbitant financial burden being placed upon me. This has had long-lasting effects on my financial well-being, effects that could have been mitigated with a more thorough and professional approach.
What’s most disheartening is that when I attempted to seek accountability for these clear instances of professional negligence, I was met not with concern or an attempt to rectify the situation, but with threats of countersuits and baseless accusations from her firm. This kind of response speaks volumes about the ethics and priorities of the representation I received.
In conclusion, entrusting my case to Camille Crandall was a costly mistake. Her incompetence and the subsequent unwillingness to take responsibility for the substantial harm caused have left me in a far worse position than before. I would strongly advise anyone seeking legal representation to look elsewhere—your financial future may depend on it.

So let’s talk about Camille Crandall, a legal superstar who didn’t just take my custody case but TOTALLY owned it, turned it around and WON. I need to give MAJOR kudos to Ms. Crandall for her incredible work in handling my rollercoaster of a custody court case, dealing with tough topics, spanning two different state jurisdictions (I don’t even live in Virginia!). She turned around a tough loss from a prior court hearing with another attorney into us receiving 98% of everything we asked for in the Virginia court final hearing with Ms. Crandall’s guidance. And if that wasn’t enough, the court also totally unexpectedly granted me decision-making authority for the child in question– an unexpected win I credit to Ms. Crandall’s expertise and hard work. And here’s the kicker, she accepted my complex case with an emergent deadline after a few other attorneys turned me down – and after that tough loss in a prior court hearing with a different attorney.

Camille Crandall who almost made impossible to possible in my case about having my child's custody. She is my hero who presented me such a wonderful way that I could never think of. I only worked with her for last 4/5 months and I hardly talked to her in person. We had a great experience working with Mr. McClafferty. Mr. McClafferty got into every little detail of our case, and presented the matter in a truly professional way.
We were appealing several violation notices that our HOA’s Architectural Committee sent us regarding our property. One notice was actually directly violating our rights as the residents of our Community. The second one was at the discretion of ARC whether or not to rule in our favor. I just won a tough trial.
I never expected I would see this kind of devoted lawyer on earth. I could not remember details in my case sometimes but he never missed any events, dates and words. I recently received a notice from a collections agency, which was contracted by a local municipality. They claim I owe back taxes on a car I purchased about six years ago. I called David after talking to several local area attorneys who were unable or unwilling to help. David was empathetic the entire phone call and went well beyond anything I was expecting. He, without being prompted, found the statutes - the source of the unpaid taxes - and explained them in a straightforward way. Additionally, he counseled me on some strategies to either pay a reduced amount or avoid the expense altogether. Mr. Bastiaans is skilled at complicating, prolonging and bloating tasks to benefit the billable hours charged. Communication was consistently inconsistent and often statements made were not executed. An example, billing for services rendered would be issued monthly, but at the end of month one, it was changed to quarterly, which was again changed to end of the month following the previous quarter. Four months of billing charges accrued before a client is made aware of cost seems unreasonable. Not someone I would recommend or trust to manage my family’s estate.
