This is the second review I'm leaving with this law firm and it isn't different from the first. I had gotten into an accident because someone t boned my car last Oct. Following an accident involving a SUV and 18 Wheel Dump Truck on an Interstate my husband and I were both simply glad to be alive. We were not interested in a settlement just our medical bills, item replacement and reimbursement for the expenses associated with the event to which we were traveling as I was driving a company vehicle. We felt that this was something we could handle ourselves with the two other insurance companies involved but after relentless and wise counsel from leaders in my company we sought out our own counsel.

He came highly recommended by another, husband/wife team of Savannah attorneys, and we were never disappointed by our decision. His thorough defense of our difficult case, set a precedence, admittedly, by the insurance company we sued for denying our claim. Our claim, on a total loss of our century plus, totally renovated farmhouse, was denied. This after being a 35 year FB member, with only one small claim in all the years of membership and no personal history to justify the treatment we received. I have been in serval accidents in my life and have never needed to call an attorney because the other driver’s insurance always accepted accountability and provided a rental immediately. This time, I was hit by a guy and filed the claim. Once filed, they refused to take my calls and hung up. I called Matt at his firm for help and he too was met with resistance and lack of cooperation. He persevered and was able to recuperate all the money I had lost. His entire team was always available, kind and truly honest. Throughout the entire process, I was always kept informed and abreast of any changes or challenges. After being defrauded in my eyes and and paying fees for the ordering of a transcript that I was assued over and over for weeks was ordered I decided it was in my and my children's best interests to retain alternative counsel.. upon doing so that same transcript was ordered and they were told it hadNEVER been ordered by the Washburn law firm ..I definitely feel defrauded and lied to about that... I got calls from the tennis club at night.. late.. got solicited for gifts for her family in violation of bar association ethics code.. got called in for appointments and her contracted associate told me as well as her assistant that she didn't have me down and was wirh someone else and couldn't see me but that she wanted me to get with them and quote organize my files. Which took hours .. because it was always a mess.. and I was billed for both that attorneys hourly rate as well as the assistant .. without me having any idea .. several hundred dollars per hour when my files should have been organized before meeting with her . She also threatened to quit right before a hearing in the most juvenile manner and leave me with zero representation for upcoming bearing after spending months and months and thousands and thousands of dollars to prepare for it.
The entire experience was disgusting to me.
New attorney got the divorce done and everything I asked for within a matter of weeks for a fraction of the costs.

Joel Williams is the best personal injury attorney in the state of georgia who have given me top notch customer service, patience, understanding, great hospitality, and who have gone the bat for me regarding my case. I highly recommend Joel Williams and Chase Elleby at Joel Williams Law. I was rear ended and my car totaled this was my first car accident and being a college student I’ve never really had to deal with insurance companies and didn’t know much about my rights in my situation. Prior to meeting with Joel and Chase I “lawyer Shopped” with numerous lawyers and was even told “my case had no value” because I was rear ended by someone who had a 25k max policy. On top of having no car and feeling alone in a stressful situation hearing that made me feel invaluable as a injured client. As soon as I walked into Joel’s office the staff was extremely friendly and personable. They educated me on every right I had and was very paitient with all my questions. Even their assistant Shannon was extremely friendly when I spoke with her.
