Very thankful to have engaged Tampa attorney James Guarnieri. He was very detailed in evaluating my case, aspects of the police charge and explaining p e. outcomes. Jack Gordon of Maney & Gordon, represented me in what was one of the most difficult and heart wrenching experiences of my life; the wrongful death of my youngest daughter due to gross negligence on the part of a hospital.
Jack worked very hard and diligently for me and more importantly, for my daughter. He was so well prepared to try the case that he very much wanted to take the case to trial. As a preliminary step before trial, we entered mediation with the defendant hospital. Jack negotiated very persistently on our behalf and we were able to reach an agreeable settlement. Having known Jack for many years on a personal level, I immediately turned to him when I was faced with a serious legal matter in April 2015. I'm 55 years old and have been in the professional business world most of my adult life. Any attorney with Ashby Davis' track record who will answer his cell phine 90% of the time is truly a "rare find" these days. In a world of talk, Ashby walks-the-walk and is by far the most professional attorney I've ever met. My case was settled in just over a year at a settlement that was more than i expected.

I cannot praise Ashby's assistance to the heights to which he deserves! My vocabulary doesn't have enough superlative words to adequately portray how wonderful he was in handling my legal "woes". He was wonderful in every aspect of this awful "experience with a terrible moving company" concerning the moving company's destruction/"loss"(think THEFT) of my property which had supposedly been in air-conditioned storage for over two (2) years --( I was moving from my home on Marco Island, Fl to Gulf, County,Fl and required storage as I was building a new home). The moving company was AWFUL, but with Ashby's skillful work and handling of my case, I was able to receive a much higher settlement from the moving company than I ever would have without his representation. I have had occasion to deal with lawyers throughout my life--in fact, my daddy had an LLB from Cumberland Law School ( class of 1934) and received a J.D. (as you know- a Doctor of Jurisprudence) at a later time--although daddy only did Pro Bono work since he was primarily a businessman and farmer in Florida and Alabama. Anyway, Because I have been around "legal stuff" my whole life, I really appreciate when I encounter someone like Ashby who is knowledgeable , skillful, hardworking, and compassionate in dealing with my very stressful situation. He was always extremely attentive to me and my situation and even though I may have been overly upset at times, he always made me feel like I could contact him at any time for any reason. I only wish he were closer to where I live now--but I still would not hesitate to request his help in the future--distance is no hindrance in the way in which he handles legal matters. His law firm should put him on the "fast track" to being a Partner--people/lawyers like Ashby are diamonds in a too often pile of legal coal chunks, as I'm sure you know. His honor/honesty is impeccable--I'm sure Martingale-Hubbel will have an AV rating by his name--he IS an "A" lawyer--and he has the "Virtute" (virtue) to boot!! He deserves a huge raise in salary--and if your law firm is smart, you will hang on to him with "everything you've got"!!! Footnote: Because of Ashby Davis' wonderful handling of my case/situation, I gave him my deceased husband's iconic and official US Navy leather pilot's jacket from the Vietnam war era. I hope you can infer how highly I think of Ashby because I gave him the jacket my husband wore as a Navy pilot.

He took my car accident case even though a previous attorney I had years ago for another case told me it wasn't worth his time (his actual words) as I had pre-existing conditions and probably wouldn't get much at all. Mr. Eaton took my case and I got far more than the other attorney had estimated, giving me peace of mind as my medical bills were more than adequately covered. :-) Both he and his staff are knowledgeable and professional. After the sudden loss of my husband, I met with an attorney to try to determine any action I might take. That attorney felt that I had a case that should be pursued but recommended that I meet with David Eaton who he felt was better qualified to handle my case. I met with David and he took my case. Erin Hardister is without a doubt, the brightest attorney out there. Because of her, My Boys will now have the opportunity to go to college. A simple "Thank you" to her in no way would suffice. She is VERY bright, and I Thank God that she's not like other attorneys out there who're just out to get a big lump sum of money and put no effort into it. She is not a 9 to 5'er like most that have represented me in this case that's dragged on for more than 7 years, and I've had some with more than 20 years under their belt, but that means nothing if you're scared to rebut the state and stand up and actually talk to the judge, versus being a scared puppet. I mean, what attorney would send you an email at 10:00pm, OR be willing to take your phone call? This case started in May of 2012. I've had several attorneys. I hired her mid April of 2019, and YESTERDAY, May 1st, she did what all those other attorneys didn't and couldn't do. My Boys are My Absolute EVERYTHING, and because of her, they now will have the Opportunity to go to college. I have no doubt that regardless of whether it was Family Law or Criminal Law, Erin would be on her game......I can truly see her one day being a judge, and a fair one at that, but I'd hope that she'd stay as an attorney so the smart ones that hire her can actually get the help and JUSTICE that they (and their kids if they are in a Family Law Case) deserve!!! In just a couple weeks she did what 3 others couldn't do in 7 years!!! God Blessed My Boys and I with finding and hiring her!! I mean He truly BLESSED My Boys and I cause as previously stated, she's not a 9 to 5'er........she's all in looking to and hitting home runs!!! I have spoken with Attorney Harris on several occasions and he truly impressed me with his knowledge and ability to understand and interpret the law and wording of legal matters. He was able to explain it to me in simple words what certain aspects of a contract meant . Some of the things may not have been what I wanted to hear, but is better to have a lawyer who tells your the truth, rather them mislead you. Our 8 year old child was coached by their counselor to be Baker Acted just a week after same counselor had his twin Baker Acted. Children with normal life and mental health patterns before beginning with this school counselor at the start of the year.
Adam was by our side within 4 hours of contact, working with his partner to get our Writ of Habeas Corpus together on a Friday afternoon and document gathering from others as well as our family's doctor and put in play a judge at the ready. He even handled the cops when they were called on us as the administrator couldn't get her story straight. Our child was released within the next 4 through Friday night to our and our doctor's care thanks to the quick thinking and firm hand Adam used to bring our Baker Acted son home to us.
I'm deeply grateful to his quick actions and quick thinking to prevent our son from being held against his (and our) will creating traumatizing memories.
