He's pretty much your average Texas lawyer; strong conservative values and will tell it to you. He'll shoot you straight and not dance around with his words. Unlike some who I have talked to who I think dont really support certain freedoms or laws that are in their client's best interests and just want to make money off of you. Paul instead is a fair man who can get you the results you want. Good honest guy.

I am not even from Texas and have never met Paul. An old, old friend of my husband's, he agreed to take my case after reading it. It was a civil lawsuit claiming defamation, harassment, all kinds of egregious things, was initially for over $1,000,000 in pain and suffering, and an attempt to take my professional license. Through his knowledge, determination, and dog with a bone attitude, we won our case lock, stock, and barrel. The judge even dismissed it WITH prejudice. I am eternally grateful for his patience, mentoring, and reassurances; also his fees which were so very reasonable as I know he went above and beyond.

Mr Porter is an excellent technician of the law. He also represents his clients best interests in every sense of the word. He delivers accurate, "big picture" perspective and provides the no nonsense strategies in representing his client's interests. He has a quick wit and wonderful gift to set his client's fears to rest during those first visits. His questions are on point and his attention to detail gave me confidence in his abilities as an attorney. Without specifics, my case which lasted over a year before it settled. My disabled aunt was struck by a pick up truck while walking across the street. On that chilly February day both our lives changed, as she would need someone to care for her forever. Over whelmed by the insurance confusion as she had recently moved from one state to another. So I was having to learn medicare, deal with 2 different states insurance while making sure my aunt had the correct medical care. Most people don't live when hit by a vehicle as a pedestrian, she lived but with a lot of surgery and time. All while still having to run my own life and jobs, Mr. Kraatz was my super hero. He stepped in front of the insurance steam roller and handled them. We were looking at over $400,000 worth of medical bills from so many entities I couldn't keep count. Mr. Kraatz spoke to me with compassion and allowed me to concentrate on what was most important, my aunts care. He also was compassionate with the man who hit my aunt, as he only had liability. So there was not enough money for all those bills and we didn't want to ruin someones life by suing him and putting him in a debt prison that he would never be free from. Most attorneys would have went for the throat no matter what, and Mr. Kraatz agreed with the decision and we let it go. He figured out who was the priority and handled it. I'm a believer and I know God will always provide for the means to care for my aunt. I'm so very grateful he spared her on that February day, I will gladly spend the rest of my life being her care giver. In an extremely stressful time I had a good lawyer in my corner, I highly recommend Mr. Kraatz.

Never in a million years would I recommend this firm to anyone who needs help. The only reason I'm still with them is because I can not legally change now. Had my accident in January and they promised 3-6 months then at 6 month mark they changed my attorney and she hyped her self up like she was going to get things done. Silly me to believe them. Now almost 10 months in they have told me twice my check is almost ready that is in accounting and they "promise" in 7-10 days I'll be paid out but I've heard that twice and every time something new comes up or slipped thru the cracks. The employees are so quick to let you know the previous person working on case was at fault but I'm starting to think they are all incompetent. And nobody from Herman and Herman better reach out and try to get me to change this review cause I'm not. Last time yall got me to change my review with promises of doing better but I'm not going to sit her and lie for yall.

Terrible Law Firm. I always had to to call about my case all the time and different answers each time it took him 3 months for them to tell me pursue my case and that's because I called them to find out. On September 16 I called and it took 3 calls and 2 different person to talk to. They said a letter was mailed out on September 9, still no letter they also said there was no one at the office, that maybe they were still at lunch. The girl on the phone she would email them a message for them to call me. They didn't, so today I called and they sent my email. They got to tell me some time ago but I was always led to believe it was going good. I sent some paperwork twice and contacted my insurance so they could get information. I don't think they bothered with my case. I'm just beside myself I would do this. And every chance I get I will let them know Herman and Herman this is not who you want handling your case.
I am add this to my post. This is how the lie, when I call on September 16 they said we mailed a letter on September 9 to let you why. Well that never happened still no letter and If hadn't called them there probably wouldn't be any letter cuz they never sent it 3 months for it to turn out like this terrible.

After being hit in the rear I turned to Wayne Wright for assistance. They had good reviews online and I knew someone who had had a favorable experience working with them in the past. As long as the case went easily and potential money was quick to come by they were willing to take my case. They told me they could help me get medical care. But when we discovered that the driver at fault had provided false insurance information Wayne Wright didn’t work hard to hold the responsible party accountable. The case manager I was working with, Karla, seemed incompetent. She delayed in responding to phone calls and/or messages. And when she spoke she kept saying um, and had long pauses. Or she wouldn’t answer my questions at all. She sounded like she she didn’t know what she was doing. I complained about the lack of service and response that I was getting and someone named Jeff then called me. He told me what the next steps could be to proceed with my case. I asked him why that was my only option and told him that no one had explained things so I just needed to understand before deciding on what to do. But right there during the same conversation he released from being a client. He didn’t even give me an opportunity to say yes please proceed or no let’s not. He was yelling at me and very rude. Very confrontational. I asked him why he was speaking to me that way and told him I would complain about him to the company. He basically laughed and said the equivalent of ‘go ahead - it won’t change anything.’ He was right. No one did anything. At least not that I know of. Now I’m in pain with a damaged vehicle and paying for everything out of pocket to avoid having my own family’s insurance rates go up. I feel like I was victimized twice - once by the driver who hit me and the second time by the law firm that was supposed to help me. Don’t let this happen to you. Find some other reputable attorney with excellent customer service to help you.

Wasted my time and couldn’t even send in a form to get the driver that hit me insurance information. The form is literally 5 dollars. Instead they had me go to all of these appointments for nothing. I wouldn’t go with this law firm unless you have the other drivers information they give false hope.
So if you have a wreck and you only get the license plate call the dmv and fill out this form at least you can see the information for yourself instead of waiting on “lawyers”!

Unfortunately, I have to click on at least one star to be able to post this, and even that is more than undeserved. In short - move on, look elsewhere. These human beings will destroy you mentally and emotionally. There are truly genuine attorneys out there and this law firm IS NOT ONE OF THEM.....Vickers Cunningham thought it was wise to show up to our family member's first hearing having not reviewed the entire case information, having not taking the time to have a conversation with her to get to know her and what he was representing, and filing for a form of relief that he knew (or should of known "being a judge") that she did not qualify for. He waisted precious time and never truly fought for us. Initially, all legal advice was communicated to us through his paralegal, Rose Flores, who never shied away from being unprofessional, unkind, rude, and heartless. We were desperate. Prior to meeting with these people, we had read reviews on them regarding racial controversies and unprofessionalism and we were so vulnerable that we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt - all because Rose said what we wanted to hear, not knowing we were really signing for what would come next - disheartening emotional and mental stress coming from unprofessionalism, being spoken to like we were uneducated, meaningless human beings, being unable to get questions truly and genuinely answered with patience, and being ultimately betrayed. We only thought we knew what the true meaning of an emotional roller coaster was until we dealt with these people, then we really knew. Rose played out every scenario and nothing she said was. She spoke as she knew the ins and outs. The truth is - they never had the knowledge enough to deal with our case. Our family member's case was a very tough one - that we knew. But had they just had the professionalism, the humanity, and the kind hearts to say "this is beyond our expertise", we would have respected them and had searched elsewhere. Many other attorneys told me it was a case they knew they could not deal with. Rose said - "we do this everyday". And then they went into the hearing clueless, unprepared, and applying for a relief she never was going to qualify for - so did they truly do it every day?...I would never wish bad upon these people despite all the hurt they caused our family and all they ripped away from us financially, mentally and emotionally, but I hope that they learn from their mistakes and strive to become better human beings....God wasn't going to let what they put us through be the end of our story - our attorney to follow stepped right in, being God sent. She was extremely knowledgeable, caring, passionate, genuine with a true fighting spirit. Mr Vickers ended his last conversation with my family member in saying there was nothing he could do for her, she would have to hope that she was granted a voluntary departure and when she asked him if "this meant she could never return to her children again", he responded with "If Joe Biden wins...". They had our case for 6 weeks and accomplished nothing but heartaches. Our attorney now had the case 6 weeks and fought and won in 2 different county courts for us, a criminal and an immigration case. Today - we have our family member home and in an even better legal position than she ever was. All this to say - Vickers and Rose destroyed our trust in attorneys, but God sent the right person to fight for us, to win, and to restore our hope and trust. If you do hire these people and they destroy you (I hope it's not the case), don't give up!! Someone out there can and will fight for you!!

Because of circumstances out of his control, he could not help me but gave me my money back and told me exactly how to go to the court i needed to. What lawyer does that? Got a call today after sending out the request the night before. The lady who called didn't even introduce herself which I deemed very rude and unprofessional. I made a typo on the request about the accident date but we got it resolved quickly, and I think it irritated her or something, then she ended up talking down to me like I was really stupid about my situation, and she continued to do that the whole conversation on the phone (at the end of all berating statements, she always said "I understand your situation completely" but the berate continued regardless, very passive aggressive behavior indeed). In the end, she notified me that the firm wouldn't take my case and gave me a phone number for referral services. I'd really appreciate it if she took the time to explain the explanation with a different tone of voice and manner, but in this case, thanks but no thanks, the way she talked to me made me feel like I'm stupid and unable to comprehend the information she delivered.

I am a former client of Ngwolo and Associates and I have mixed feelings regarding this firm.
Granted, while Mr. Ngwolo was able to have my case dismissed (I was the victim of a corrupt, stupid, and incompetent police office who cited me with a bogus charge almost a year ago. I was physically attacked by a violent lunatic that lived at the same residence as me. I defended myself and called the police. Again, the stupid, biased, and ignorant officer that arrived on the scene cited me instead of the perpetrator), he failed in every other aspect of our attorney client relationship...
I'll just give you the pros and cons...
Pros
1. He was able to get the bogus charge dismissed. Up until this happened (please see above) I had no criminal background other than a parking ticket when I was a teenager. Anyway, it literally took less than 15 minutes to have the entire case dismissed.
I appreciated his due diligence in that regard. He did what I hired him to do...
However, everything else was subpar and below standard...
Cons
1. My attorney showed up nearly TWO HOURS late to my court hearing. I am not kidding.
I got the impression, from day one, that he never took my case seriously given that it was a Class C misdemeanor. I get that it was not a big deal in comparison to the criminal cases he usually deals with; but this was major to me. I have been a law abiding citizen and I have a career where my good name and reputation are paramount. Having even a misdemeanor could impact me negatively...
Yet he showed up almost two hours late to my first court appearance.
And of course my case happened to be the first case on the docket. I texted his office a million times and could not get in contact with him...just his poor paralegal trying his best to comfort a client who is distraught because of his counsel's unprofessionalism.
He finally showed up and didn't so much as even apologize.
2. It was impossible to get in contact with him, absolutely impossible! The only time I ever spoke to Mr. Ngwolo was when I hired him and at the hearing. Otherwise, getting a response from him for much needed questions was like pulling teeth from a dragon skull. I know that attorneys have other clients and are busy. But if I am paying you a retainer fee you owe me atleast a once a month conversation.
3. I finally severed my relationship with him five months ago for consistently being MIA. I hired him with the intent of dismissing the case AND expunging it from my record. Once the case was dismissed I received radio silence.
Needless to say I fired him. And from that point I had to hound him for months to send me a refund for the remainder that he owed me.
I finally got it a week ago.
Moreover, he tried to use the excuse that expunction is a very long process.
Apparently not since I had the case expunged recently, by myself.
Anyway, he is a good lawyer and knows his stuff, I will say that. However, given my experience, I would not recommend.

Worse lawyer ever!! She is the most hands off attorney I ever met.our initial consultation was great she made me feel comfortable. Once I paid the retainer fee everything changed !! I learned during my mediation by the mediator that I had trial in less than a month! Why didn’t she prep me or tell me? We never prepped anything she never asked for evidence. The day after she dropped me as a client . She only collected money from me and left me. I got a new lawyer 2 weeks later and what took her 6 months , took my new attorney 2 months to accomplish. She is rude, she doesn’t answer calls or emails and gives you Attitude when you finally reach her. Needless to say I won with my new attorney so the best thing I got out of it was finding my new attorney who won the case.

I am an attorney and cpa. I have a real estate dispute with another attorney about the meaning of various contractual provisions related to a disputed transaction. I found a case which I believed indicated my client had treated the transaction properly. Opposing counsel believed the case said just the opposite. This firm has had several opportunities to do a great job and just hasn't. Although they are friendly, they aren't responsive or effective.
First opportunity, revising a very simple will that this same firm had developed 7 years ago. Typo's and various errors, back and forth with a paralegal for over a month, and during the phone call to finalize, the paralegal did not even listen to the questions being asked, she just talked over my questions. The result was to just notarize what they had developed and take the document to another attorney for review.
Second opportunity - we contacted Bailey & Galyen on a Friday evening for advice on a potential criminal matter. A person was being detained and we needed timely advice. We contacted the office around 9pm on one phone number, and a man who barely spoke english took our information and said an attorney would contact us soon. At 2 am we contacted Bailey & Galyen on a different number, and a woman took our information and said someone would contact us shortly. At 5am we used the text method to ask for assistance. Thankfully we did find an attorney to provide advice in the situation but it wasn't Bailey & Galyen. This firm never returned my calls, and finally sent an email on the following Tuesday.
If you need actual representation in a timely manner, this is not the attorney to call.
