This firm has had several opportunities to do a great job and just hasn't. Although they are friendly, they aren't responsive or effective.
First opportunity, revising a very simple will that this same firm had developed 7 years ago. Typo's and various errors, back and forth with a paralegal for over a month, and during the phone call to finalize, the paralegal did not even listen to the questions being asked, she just talked over my questions. The result was to just notarize what they had developed and take the document to another attorney for review.
Second opportunity - we contacted Bailey & Galyen on a Friday evening for advice on a potential criminal matter. A person was being detained and we needed timely advice. We contacted the office around 9pm on one phone number, and a man who barely spoke english took our information and said an attorney would contact us soon. At 2 am we contacted Bailey & Galyen on a different number, and a woman took our information and said someone would contact us shortly. At 5am we used the text method to ask for assistance. Thankfully we did find an attorney to provide advice in the situation but it wasn't Bailey & Galyen. This firm never returned my calls, and finally sent an email on the following Tuesday.
If you need actual representation in a timely manner, this is not the attorney to call.

My phone calls were always answered with a pleasant attitude all the time. Ms. Blacknall handled my divorce case (and me) with finesse and compassion in a manner that I have heard no other similarly unfortunate friends describe their own experiences, with other firms.

I had to terminate representation due to the extreme lack of response from Greyson, which his secretary even admitted that she did not know why he was like that.
when I finally did talk to him he said to send him the parole paperwork back and he would send us back the retainer. Almost a month has passed since I sent the packet in perfect condition, verified with his secretary that he said he had received the packet but is “working” on the refund.
Now my calls go unanswered(unless i call from a different number) and I get no response from any of them. This is highly unprofessional. Will be reporting him to the state bar because this is simply unacceptable. I would not trust an attorney who lies and avoids communication with any client or former client.

I had a teenager rear end me with my wife and 5 kids. The teenagers dad and mom were in the car as well and they tried to get me to not call the police. I had local PD come out and make a report and I'm glad I did. I quickly contacted Bormaster & Associates and within a day they had me and my whole family in therapy. My wife and I had MRIs done on our backs and good thing we did. They also had us setup with a pain management doctor as soon as we had the MRI results. We completed treatment and mind you at no cost to us. Everything was taken care of up front by Bormaster & Associates. Dustin was our point of contact and was available day and night to take our calls and text messages and gave us updates on the progress on our case constantly. Phenomenal law firm to work with. They gave me a tentative calendar of when to expect things to happen and told me what all I need to do on my end. They took care of all communications, scheduling and kept me updated the whole time. They scheduled appointments for me and only had to tell me when and where to show up. I was always checked in when I got there and just walked right out when I was done. They kept me updated every step of the way. I only called for an update once the entire time and they got back to me the same day. beyond impressed with the service and outcome!

I see Mrs. Valentine no longer practices family law, but she was my family law attorney at the time. I sincerely think Mrs. Valentine wanted to help me, but in the end, she failed and abandoned me when I needed her most. She was very understanding in the beginning as she agreed to support my goals. I explained that while I understood I couldn't stop my divorce, I didn't want it and wanted to do everything I could to maximize the possibility of reconciliation, so I wasn't going to do anything to encourage it. She seemed to respect and understand where I was coming from and was willing to work with me. She also understood that I had already hired an attorney who had exhausted all of my retainer from my temporary hearing and I was still paying off my balance with them, so I couldn't afford another retainer. She agreed to work with me on an hourly basis instead of requiring a prepaid retainer. During that time, she was helpful answering questions, explaining how to file documents and prepare for hearings. However, when it came time for my final hearing, she indicated I finally need to pay a retainer, to which I reluctantly agreed to because I didn't really have the money. I even asked her if she could take it out of the trust from the settlement in my final hearing so that I could still afford to pay my living expenses. She declined, however, I managed to come up with the retainer the last day of her deadline. I was literally on my way to her office when she told me she could no longer represent me because I didn't want a divorce. She then proceeded to suggest that because I hadn't paid a retainer, that she wasn't representing me, but we definitely had established an attorney-client relationship over the course of almost 9 months, I was just paying on an hourly basis. I explained again, that I knew I couldn't stop the divorce from happening, but as a matter of principle, I was committing to my marriage until the end. Considering it was right before the July 4th holiday, I felt that she just didn't want to do the prep work instead of going on vacation. As a result, I wasn't able to retain an attorney on that short of notice and had to proceed with my hearing as Pro Se. As you could imagine, I was completely outmatched in my hearing going against another attorney, but I felt I had no other options. I was very discouraged at how she abandoned me when I needed her the most.

February 2016, is a blur to me. I was in a tragic auto wreck with my parents who died at the scene. Joe was there for my family until I was able to communicate, then he was there for me through the rest of my ordeal. One never knows what to do in the event a tradgedy takes place. Joe was there to answer questions and cheer me on my recovery. A little over a year later, I am well on my way to recovery AND the settlement!! On Oct. 2016 a family member was brutally killed as he walked across a street to get to the convenience /gas station.
I signed Mr. Caputos to represent our interest. The following took place in the span of several months.
when i met caputo I supplied himwith newspaper data that reported the incident, the first and final police report of the accident . names of witnesses i gathered from from the newspaper and the police report .
He supplied the same given report ,a video he got that anyone could have gotten as this was FOI (freedom of info.) and a few pics of a dead body . Thats it. No data as as to names dates or results .what we accomplish? nothing.
He stated he needed additional plaintiffs for the case after months later and Caputo still kept us waiting. Months of phone tagging, missing appointments and non action we parted ways. So the question is what did he do all those months ? Conduct an investigation? where? wheres the investigators name, new data Eyewitness statements, data of the scene? his interview of the driver? passenger ? All we had was what i had given him a police report a video that captured the incident and foul pics of my dead family member.
Did Caputo researched the law for options? it takes Caputo months to strategically plan and implement a case.then why did the majority of other attorneys give us the same answers within a day.
So months of nothing we let him go. Caputo sent a reply stating HE wont represent our case, although we might have a valid case, but he wont represent us, after we let him go? Realistically, we felt Caputo is trying to save face. we feel left in the back burner, when we moaned he reacted.. slightly. when terminated he gets miffed and states HE dropped us. childish reaction. Mind you a pedestrian got killed.
FACTS
1. On videotaped it showed it wasnt dark. it was dusk not nighttime. There were large lit street lights on the corners including one over where the impact took place. there was bright lights from the gas station at the same corner there was bright neon lights from the conv. store /gas station, and restaurant across the same corner.
2 video shows pedestrian walked corner to corner. He didn't dart out between cars. there was no obstruction. it was an open 5 lane street It took him almost 15 sec to get to other side
3. the driver contradicts his version of what happened more then once Wife admitted to searching on the phone for a place to eat suggesting distraction, not paying attention
4. NOBODY deserves to be killed and shelved the pedestrian was . especially from your own counsel. Its a good ol boys Texas town with attitude. the newspaper reporter admited. the pedestrian was 60 years old Hispanic man. killed crossing a well lit at 3-4 ft away other corner. hit by a well to do white male at more then 40 mph flipping pedestrian in the air, landing over 40 feet away, breaking his legs fracturing his skull, lacerating his body and detaching his arm .
Video shows break lights after impact. driver moved truck to appear it was sudden.
we expected answers, we got NOTHING just excuses. Other attorneys gave answers within days, why waste our time, his time, the bars time. just say i don't want, can't handle, can't do, complete or win this case? Caputo just gave insult to injury.

First off, this is a real review by an actually person. I know a lot of places pay for these reviews, but Chris does not. So, here is my side of the story on how Chris' company Stoy Law Group won my case.
You must know this about Chris before you hire him and his team. He takes BS from no one and especially other attorneys. He does not back down from anyone trying to push his clients around. I saw this personally many times. More on that later...
I was hit by a guy in a company work truck who was texting and driving. To me texting and driving is in the same category as drinking and driving, and it is just unacceptable. I saw the whole thing happen in my review mirror. Still to this day I cannot get it out of my head. It plays over and over in my mind like a movie on constant repeat.
I am really not a litigious person. However, I was pretty jacked up after the accident and I knew the person who hit me was at fault. Out of principle, and my unadulterated disgust for driving texters, I had to do something. I think ambulance chasers are a scam, and have no faith in them. So, what did I do? I did what you're doing right now, started reading reviews of different attorneys in the DFW (mainly Fort Worth) area.
Came across Chris' site and after reading all the reviews, I went with my gut. One of the best decisions I have ever made. Why, because Chris and his team took care me from start to finish.
To finish this long review up. I will list all the reasons you should go with Chris and his team:
1. Like I said earlier, Chris does not take BS off anyone. By the end of my case the other attorneys could not stand him, he was relentless. I loved this because I had a previous court case (not a car wreck) where two people could not be together anymore, if you know what I mean. Both of our attorneys knew each other and before the trail began, they were outside the courtroom laughing and cutting up with one another. This bothered me.
2. He has the absolute best supporting staff. His head paralegal Tracy is a freaking rock star. She is so professional and works so hard to make sure everything is perfect for his cases. Thank you, Tracy!
3. His office took care of all my medical bills.
4. I think it is too boastful to put on here how much Chris and his team got for me. However, what I will tell you… again I got all my medical bills payed. I got my car replaced with a newer one and got a good bit of coin in the bank that I did not have before.
5. Chris believes in right and wrong and what the justice of law can do for his clients.
6. This guy works harder than anyone I know.
When I started the process with him. His number one piece of advice was... "Randy, you're an honest guy with the right motives. Be patient in this long process and we will take care of you". Wow, did he and his team not disappoint.
I'll check this review everyone once in a while. If you response to this review wanting more details, then I will give you way to connect with me. That is how much I believe in Stoy Law group. Hands down the best law group for personal injury period.

Had a case that was long 2013 case settled in june13 2017 here we are in january5 2018 and they have not paid me ive been calling ever since lady tells me its becuase of a lein which i have confirmed has been paid since july then she wouldnt take my calls and put me in touch with book keeper which told me it was cause doctor hasnt responded then i called him next day to question charges and from one day to next he tells me ok doctor has been paid how is that possible if he has to make check and he would need time to cash it on my charges was a 8000 depo charge which someone who works for law has suggested noone pays that much even if there was a doctor present which there wasnt. Went to see them right before Christmas cause i had been calling for my money the guy said the bank was holding check cause of the doctors 5000 bill then he said as a favor to me he would give me a 10000 check which i took cause i took out a loan which im paying intrest for i let him know this he said he would get them to pay intrest although i dont know who is them that are paying intrest all this time it was me calling and staying in touch trying to get paid from my position i csn honestly say these guys are taking advantage becuase i am a immigrant and my lack of knowledge of how this works is obvious to them i have 3 people that work for law firms and tell me this should not be anyone looking for a lawyer should concider my experience if they do this to me it could be anyone else my next step to take is to file a grievance and see if they can help me collect my own money that i suffered and still do

We hired Mr Rodriguez, he left town to California without doing what he was paid to do,. After excuses and in so many words said he will not be reimbursing 5k retainer as he will use the rest of it file the motion with the judge to withdraw, delaying the process by 20 more days.. so 5k and time lost all for more legal hurdles, I do not recommend his “services”..

I was a young woman and a newlywed when I lost my husband in a bulldozer accident. I hired Mr. Hornsby to represent me in this difficult time. He cared about me and helped me get through it. I have known David personally for about 6 years. He is a man of integrity, perseverance and honesty. I have had to hire him on two different personal injury cases that involved 18-wheeler's. Just spoke to this law firm, I would not reconnect this law firm. Stay far away. Their first duty is to the court, if a judge tells any one of their lawyers not to wear a certain suit again they will bend over backwards. Their duty is not in the best interest of the child but to the court first! Do not hire this firm, they will not argue your case in court. They will let the judge violate your rights and help them do it. When I heard this from their attorney during the consultation I immediately asked where is the duty to your client and the best interest of the child? She hung up. When a lawyers says their first duty is to the court that means you should run! Don’t be to quick to hire an attorney, look around ask questions because lawyers like these will backstab their clients!

I recently had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with Bergquist Law Firm. After hiring them to handle a legal matter, I found their communication to be lacking and their representation to be subpar. The lawyers seemed disorganized and unprepared, and I felt like my case was not given the attention it deserved.

Terrible experience with Sarah particularly. My coparent withheld my ability to see my infant on multiple occasions, Sarah charged me for documentation that didn’t improve or remedy the situation; the coparent was not held accountable whatsoever. The response I received from filing the expensive paperwork Sarah’s firm advised was my coparent filing a false police report saying their vehicle was broken into implicating me for which I had proofs were 100% false (the vehicle was NOT broken into or tampered with and I was nowhere remotely close to area it was located at the time in question). I was required to meet at police stations following that accusation - know what the coparent showed up in?? The undamaged vehicle in question on the DAY FOLLOWING the accusation. (For the record, it’s supposed to be a crime in Texas to file a false police report). Again, none of it mattered when we *never made it to court* — saddled with $25k worth of representation debt (when the standard for family court settlements is ~$11k to my understanding), a hefty child support amount, and ONE day more than a standard possession as a non-custodial parent. I wrote her an angry, frustrated “who do you work for here?” email to which she felt the need to call me personally at 3 am having me tell her I thought she was the perfect person to help me with my situation or she would be resigning my case. Should’ve dropped her then and there. I’m an honorably discharged veteran, a former federal employee, an Eagle Scout, etc. I was up against someone with a an assault record. Continuously told her firm I wanted a 50/50 coparenting agreement and wasn’t trying to skirt child support because I didn’t think it would help my case. Not what was presented at the 2-3 court days we were supposed to have, I took off work for and made special arrangements for but didn’t actually “take.” We never made it to court - ended up in mediation with a RETIRED judge who didn’t read or pay any attention to the facts of the case whatsoever as his blanketed opening statement at mediation was - “I don’t care what the facts are here, I’m not taking any child away from his mother short of something drug related” - a determination based solely based on gender/sex. I did 90% of the talking during mediation; Sarah and her assistant sat there and barely spoke. I’m not an attorney. I didn’t get paid $25k to represent someone. Had no idea what I was doing. Sarah worked with the coparent’s attorney and came up with a 30+ page document that provides more coverage for my co-parent than me and I was billed for it; co-parent walked away from the case on a pro-bono basis. If I mess up, jail time and fines. If the co-parent messes up, there would be hefty court fees for me to enforce anything and then next to 0 repercussions for them. My coparent has been so empowered by how easy it was to walk over me that she has continued to violate the agreement (never missed a day with my son, coparent’s missed a plethora; coparent doesn’t send written updates when our circumstances change, I’ve had to; coparent moved outside the agreed upon living area, repercussions are supposed to be me becoming custodial, NOPE; coparent filed 2 more false police reports since implicating but not naming me to avoid harassment charges, nothing stopping them). If you’re a single father out there for any reason and are looking for help, know upfront no one (courts, attorneys, etc) cares about the dad’s rights or involvement in a child’s life. Since the resolution, I’ve struggled to make ends meet between the debts and my obligations. Think when I’m struggling to this degree that I can afford or would even bother going back to court to have my coparent “held accountable” for the violations?? Steer clear of Sarah’s firm; felt massively overcharged for the minimal support or intervention I received from them.
