I brought a very complicated case to Mr. Wayne. As unfair as the totality of the circumstance was, Mr. Wayne did a lot of work, and maximized my return. He leveraged his contacts to create a think-tank for my case, he focused on technical fouls to prevent the Court from being able to easily dispose of my case, and he worked with me to make sure my side was heard without adding to the complexity. At the end of it all, he negotiated a settlement that minimized the damage that the Court did to my jury verdict, and led to a timely resolution to a long-standing ordeal. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I've had a few run-in's with DUI/DWI in Wisconsin. I was referred to David through a friend who also worked with him for a drunk driving ticket. David was incredibly knowledgeable on how the process works in Wisconsin and you could tell he had a lot of experience helping others before me. I was able to get a significant amount of reductions both financially and to my driving record that allowed me to maintain an active license. I would definitely recommend reaching out if you got a DUI.

I was extremely concerned about finding a lawyer who had the knowledge to protect me rights after my accident (personal), along with billing that would fit inline with my budget. The not so good.
-Almost impossible to get a phone call or e-mail back from David after multiple attempts.
-Never explained really what will happen at court dates, both present and future.

-My drug charge was dropped as he worked with the DA.
-Price was average amongst Janesville lawyers for my DUI case.
-Talks to you like a human and his office is far from impressive like high end lawyers who want your money.

BEWARE!!!! Amy Eddy is a high priced attorney, staff misspelled my name on initial filing of probate documents, Amy doesn't return my emails, phone calls, won't answer my questions but her staff keeps sending my brother invoices for high priced attorney fees. My brother's court documents expired and they have made no progress on closing my Dads estate but attorney Amy Eddy keeps sending my brother her high priced attorneys fees. I feel totally uncomfortable with Amy Eddy handling my Dad's estate. Went to court asked for her to be removed because she isn't helping my brother through the probate process just charging him fees. She won't remove herself because I think she just wants to collect her high priced fees and profit off my deceased Army Veteran father's estate. I will be filing a complaint against her law license with the WI State board of attorneys for attorney misconduct.

Mark responded to my inquiry through Avvo. He and I had an initial phone conversation. Mark suggested a one-on-one meeting to review my situation and documentation in more detail. I emailed him a date and time to meet. He responded and said that date would not work. I emailed him an alternative. A week passed and I received no response from Mark. I emailed him again, to which he responded that he had no interest in meeting - period. Mark was definitely lacking professional courtesy in this instance.

Mark Baus developed an excellent case strategy by reviewing my primary doctor's mefical records and being well prepared for his meeting with my neurosurgeon. Mark's had gained insight from previous interactions with my neurosurgeon and was able to convince my neurosurgeon that my injury was not a preexisting condition by showing him pertinent medicaal records from my primary physician. This was a pivotal point and beccause Mark was prepared and effectively communicated pertinent facts he was able to secure a favorable report from my neurosurgeon. This report provided a strong defense to overcome the hazards litigation.
Mark secured the full amount of my auto coverage and the full amount of medical payments in a short period of time. I would highly recommend Mark Baus to others in need of a personal injury attorney.

Mark handled my auto accident suit, and I was very pleased with the outcome. When I first met with Mark, he explained how the process would work, and he answered any and all my questions. This attorney has trouble getting the facts straight. After years of having my case, there were still so many errors it was somewhat pathetic. I will just say he seems to be on the opposing side, which is not a good thing, when he is supposed to have his clients best interest at heart. When confronted about his errors he became a bully.

After consulting with a few big firms (who rarely even remembered my name) I chose to go with Brian Hodgkiss. Him and his staff were so helpful and were quick to get things resolved. Called 9 months ago to get set up with a lawyer through LaRowe Gerlach. Just for standard business paperwork and whatnot. I was directed to Max and had a phone call with him, where he said he’d work with us. I sent over the documents he requested and then proceeded to wait for a reply.
Over the next few months I called in several times, figuring he had simply been busy, but always spoke to a secretary who said he would call me. He never did. I eventually asked if he was not interested in having us as a client and was assured he was.
Finally I called asking to get linked up with a different partner and the secretary refused to direct me to another partner. Saying Max would call me.
It has been over 9 months and I have still only heard from max the one time. I wish I could speak on behalf of any other partner, but apparently the firm as a whole won’t let you switch once someone has dibs on you, even if they don’t actually intend on doing any work with you.
Mostly frustrated that they wouldn’t just say “we are not interested” and instead proceeded to waste my time. Very unprofessional.

I contacted LaRowe Gerlach LLP regarding a legal matter that I wanted to ask them to represent me on. The operator transferred me to Mr. Joseph Hesler’s voicemail , as he would be the most qualified attorney at the firm in that matter. After I left him a detailed message, a few minutes later he calls me back and started treating me like I am some sort of a spam caller. He was very rude and asked me how did I get his number and why did I call him. After I briefly explained that I left him a voicemail and I had called the office to seek representation in a legal matter, he said that he no longer accepts new clients and hung up on me. Of course this surprised and shocked me at the same time to why an attorney would do that to a potential client. I called the office again to talk to the operator. After I told her what happened, her answer was: “Well, you might as well keep looking around.”
So there is my experience with this firm. I’ve had contact with some other law firms and attorneys in the past, but nobody had treated me and talked to me like these guys did. So do yourself a favor and “keep looking around”. They are not worth your time or your money.

Sought “free legal advice”...this guy turned a 20-minute phone call in May 2016 into a money-grab of over $300 just this week. Be-littles me at every turn and sadly, has a history of a money grab. I thought what I got for property damage was fair. But pain and suffering not even close. I was in a motorcycle accident an 80 yr. old lady coming from opposite direction turned left in front of me. She first said she didn’t see me. Then quickly changed to I gave it more gas to miss him. The speed limit changes right in this area from 45 to 35. I made the mistake of talking to her insurance. Because they said they needed to talked to me. I told them I was going 35-40 why I said that I don’t know maybe because I was just hit by a car? And I was bleeding to death internally? If I was speeding then so were the cars in front of me. The motorcycle I had was not built for speed but for going off road. I was most likely not speeding. Kind of hard to speed with a car in front of you. I hit the brakes when I seen her start to turn. She gave it more gas, but this was my fault in any way? I don’t turn if I see someone coming from opposite direction! I had 2 surgeries on right leg and still have pain in knee. You can just look at and see it’s painful. It just makes me sick to think about what this lawyer didn’t do for me. I should have went to smaller law firm. One that would actually take time to fight for me.

Hmm. Thats funny. I gota disorderly an I was charged with a year probation. An judge threatens me an says I belong in prison. Remember I never did what the charge with. An I put faith in John. He shows up at nine while I waited a half hr for him. He tells me in my ear he's tired of driving to wausau. So let's finish it. So I did. An now on probation for a year. Threatened by judge I should be in prison. Yeah put a guy in prison for doing nothing wrong. I even had a witness. So I'm trying to figure out what my disorderly was about. Cause no one told me. So if you want a good lawyer it's not John. He puts a show on. But he couldn't even win my case when I was innocent. I'm not an angry individual like the judge says. First of all he don't know me. I waisted three years on a bull sh** charge an get put on probation. Thanks John. Cause you didn't want to do your job. Last words John says. To me. You can handle a year probation. True but I never did nothing wrong. An lied to me about the plea. Thanks. Lawyers judges cops. Doctors everyone now a days don't care for the truth. Now I have more lies on my records that makes me look like a monster.

I hired John twice in the past 10 years. He is getting better each time I have used him. The first time was in 2009 and he was able to get the minimum time and suspension despite the fact I was 2 times the legal limit. Again in 2021 I hired John. With medical proof I spent 1 day in jail and was granted immediate huber release on GPS. John guided me each time earning my trust and confidence. He knows the law and the court system well.

Julius is a great salesmen who openly and confidently expresses all the great things he can do for your case. Yet, the reality of his abilities is very limited. He prides himself on helping vulnerable people from my community. He goes as far as to call himself "El abogado del pueblo" aka "the lawyer of our village." However, that sentiment doesn't ring true as he and his team had poor communication with me on what was going on. And whenever I would bring this up they would ignore me or directly insult me. They took my money and gave me the bare minimum. Please, mi gente and anyone else reading this. Stay away from this scam artist.

I rented an apartment from a person who has several buildings and properties. He is known for "screwing" tenants. I hired Mr. Standford to represent me on a workers compensation claim after he was referred to me by a family member. Everything seemed to be going well. After the case went to court, i kept receving doctor bills. One bill, in particular, kept coming. I would call Mr. Stanford and tell him. He would tell me to fax him the bill and he would take care of it. Well, this same bill kept coming and I would continue to call Mr. Standford and express my concern. Again he would tell me just to keep faxing him any bill i received and he would take care of it. Well the bill finally stopped coming and I thought he took care of it. So I decided to try for a small loan. After being denied the loan, I discovered that the reason for denial was due to an unpaid bill that had gone to collection, the same bill I kept faxing to Mr. Stanford. Apparently he never followed up on the bill. Had he followed up, I wouldnt be stuck trying to figure out payments for an awfully large doctor bill that I shouldnt have had to pay.

I contacted this law firm for advice on misdemeanor charges and was referred to this attorney, he frightened me into believing the charges could be elevated to a felony and I could be facing going to prison and needed representation
After paying the retainer fee he said he would be contacting the DA office to discuss charges and try to get them dismissed but he actually did very little to help me, did not even ask me to come in to discuss the case or details for my defense
When I tried to call to clarify information received from the DA office by mail, he would not take my call or return calls when asked so I requested to dismiss him as my attorney as did not feel confident about him representing me
it took almost 3 weeks for that to get done and I was still charged over $1000 of my retainer fee

I was told by Attorney Holly Jensen, in our fist consultation that she would be on my side and would be a strong voice to help me. In that fist consultation also, attorney Jensen stated she was going to help me get my time with my daughter because that’s what I was entitled to. But at a sad, frightening, and frustrating moment just before we were to finish my case in a court of law after 9mo. (my personal emotions in overdrive) Attorney Jensen backed out on me, and stated “she was done wanting to help on the case anymore” and said “I was changing my mind too much”. I felt that I had a right to somehow sometimes change my mind, contrary to what she kept telling me. She was not understanding of my positions, ideas or questions even when I explained myself in great detail in emails or phone calls. When I did write an email on a Saturday asking questions and wanting to know anything it would take days into the next week to get an answer from Attorney Jensen would respond with a few short words. (Felt I was bothering her more than her reaching out to really help me) She takes a lot of time off at a moments notice without any word on your case status. She is easily intimidated by the opposite side especially if it is a male. Attorney Jensen will not reach out to you on her own most times to give you updates. By Friday afternoon (12pm she’s has left for the weekend) and you’re left with the thought of “how is my case progressing”?
If your case is in depth and requires her to be on top of the situation she does not posses these skill sets.
If you have a case the requires her to interact with other people in anyway, (the opposing attorneys) or in a court of law setting, I wouldn’t recommend Attorney Holly Jensen she again is intimidated and keeps quiet.

She failed to represent me to the fullest of her ability, and she refused to get an appeal going, She basically coerced me into thinking that my only option was to plea out when I wasn't even driving the vehicle. I asked for witnesses to be subpoenaed and was denied.
