Upon my initial meeting I found Sarah competent in my divorce and financial divorce struggles. It wasn’t long after that she was intimated by me ex-husbands counsel and no longer represented me as I paid thousands and thousands for. I overheard her with opposing counsel belittling me while I was waiting for a scheduled meeting, that I paid for. Sarah then failed to show up to hearings as a competent attorney. She never raised when the Judge spoke etc. I had evidence in my case that she should have submitted and she never did even after asking her to. I was a victim of extreme domestic abuse that she discounted. My ex husband was jailed as a fugitive from justice in Columbus, Georgia. She never brought gun t any of that into the courtroom. Instead, I had to pay my abuser fees on his false claims. She told me that she specialized in getting children back…then told me that financial divorces were not her specialty. Being upfront and 25k later. Also, she referred me to another financial attorney that required a 10 k retainer.

Sarah was compassionate while being straight forward and to the point. She doesn’t mince words and gets the job done! She handled our parental termination case quickly and very efficiently, I had a court date before friends of mine doing the same thing, even when they started months before me! I highly recommend her to everyone, and would never hesitate to retain her as my lawyer again. Her legal secretary is just as helpful, honestly the experience couldn’t have been any better!

Unethical scam artists that regularly get disbarred and only care about billable hour$. If you’re not racking up hour$, even after telling them about your budget, they’ll drop you right before trial and leave you unrepresented. Need your files? Too bad, pay your ransom.
They schedule appointments against your will and charge you anyways, even after telling them you didn’t agree to it. They’ll backpay themselves when you weren’t represented by them and chit chat about the weather to bloat the hour$.
They’ll also whisper into their recording device “No client-attorney privilege”, before asking questions around other unknown people, outside of their office. Don’t like that? Go unrepresented or write a blank check.

I previously used them because of an attorney who was amazing but she was no longer here and I was in desperate need. I should have waited to find the new firm she was at. My experience with my second lawyer here was beyond disappointing. Pretty much lost my case. I even called to talk to Mark who is a partner here to discuss how disappointed I was with my lawyer. Had my lawyer used the evidence I suggested I think we had a better shot at what I wanted. Don’t use this firm and keep interviewing attorneys that actually care about your lives. One mistake can cost you use case and change your life.

Steven jumped right into the mess I had made after filing for child support and full custody by myself. The dad had never been around and wanted full custody now that I was making my full custody legal on paper. This attorney did not help me thoroughly with my battle against mother. Even tho mother was in contempt for many things and I wanted to obtain full decision making. Mr. Sufrin made me settle to agreements with opposing party when he could of potentially gone to trial and fight for what was right for this case. Now mother is back in contempt of other things when this could attorney could of performed better. I ended paying Mr. Sufrin more than 4 grand for a lousy settlement. DO NOT HIRE HIM.

They are lazy. I asked for a simple demand letter that I was willing to pay for that a paralegal could do, and they refused. This, despite the fact that there was clear legal violations for a company that lost a class action suit. Do not recommend this lazy law firm.

I have used the services of Rich Peters and his colleagues for approximately 18 years. He has (1) secured my legal separation and 18 years later the dissolution of the marriage; (2) successfully defended my stepdaughter in a child custody dispute; and (3) set up a legal guardianship for our granddaughter. In all of these cases, he delivered the results that I expected with professionalism and care. He is a good communicator who gave sound legal advice and explanations of what to expect in the execution of these cases. rich peters and his team never fought for me or my family - in fact they were supposed to register a family court order in arizona and never did but still kept collecting my money while arizona NEVER had jurisdiction- a couple of attorneys failed to keep my family safe but the last one Sophia realllllly messed up by not adequately protecting my address from my abuser and stalker - an address that was never meant to be handed over to him - she allowed the judge to mistreat me and did not represent me at all. i even told her things were not being handled properly and she assured me she could do better - she did not. Rich peters has ignored my emails for MONTHS now but still has no problem demanding payment - a payment i will never send - i believe i am owed my money back in FULL - now that you are back in the country mr peters i do expect a reply

Wish my friend would have read the reviews before she hired this guy. Her divorce case is being handled just as the other 2 or 3 bad reviews said theirs was. He does the bare minimum if anything at all except to charge an extrodinary amount of money. He charges what seems to be a flat fee for all types of divorces, the magic number is $100,000.00. If you try to communicate your concerns it looks like he just abandons the case. Would not recommend for a divorce case.

If you are looking for a dependency attorney or any other family law situation you won't find another attorney with the experience of Ann Haralambie. She is both aggressive and straight brilliant in the court room. She is very confident in the court room and very well spoken.She will tell you the way it is and she does not make false promises. Everyone that we talked to told us that its impossible to get you child back at a temporary custody hearing. Ann told us not to expect her to come home that it is very hard to win these hearings. Thank's to Mrs. Haralambie's 40 plus year's of family law experience we brought our daughter home on that date. Ann has been not only a great attorney but a very caring and compassionate person.Unfortunatley we had to hire her for a child dependency case. She was referred to us by Mito Action and was the only Az attorney that was recommended by them.You can not put a price on what Ann has done for us.All others said that no one gets their kid back at a temporary custody hearing.Ann even said that it was extremely hard but her 40 plus years experience in family law brought our daughter home.Ann is beyond brilliant in the court room.She is not only aggressive but but very well spoken.I have had to to hire other attorneys in the past for different circumstances and i have never felt more confident with a attorney then we did with Ann.She is very straight forward and honest.There was no false promises she told us the way it was and what to expect. She has done everything that she told us that she would do when we hired her plus some.Mrs. Haralambie is a very compassionate caring person. With a case like ours one can not put a price on a great Attorney.We will be forever in debt to Mrs.haralambie. Tom saved my life and protected myself and my child. HE IS THE BEST! It was my first time fighting in court. I was scared and lost. Tom gave good support and straight forward directions. The only thing I had a problem with is his response time back to me sometimes. Later learning it was my impatience. Also to save me money and both of us from nonsense time. Due to me over asking questions stemming from fear and anxiety. Questions that were answered in dew time. We were up against another tough lawyer. Tom stood strong, tough, firm, honest and confident. When I thought Tom was quiet in his responses to me. He truly was hearing me. When it came to time in court. Those little concerns were blasted right back at apposing council. Ammo I didn't even expect due to my naiveness. He fought toughly for me 100%. I received everything I was asking for, with a few compromises. He worked with me on payments that I could afford. I had Tom to represent my case during my complicated divorce and child custody. My case lasted longer than expected. He explained to me the family law clearly and he understood my situation. As I went through my divorce, I had tendencies to become subjective and wished the law could grant everything I desired. Tom was very objective in discussing to me what is possible and not possible according to the law. I went through with the process of my divorce not with a very clear understanding of what I can have and what I can not have and Tom was always there to explain to me whys of the process. He was very clear to explain to me that there was no guarantee that I will get what I wanted but the guarantee was he would do his best to get me and my son what is fair and he DID. My divorce and my child custody was done and I did not get what I wanted but I did have what is fair. I also had a clear understanding of why things work that way because Tom had educated me along the process. During the process, I also felt that I had somebody who truly care and would always be there to defend me and my son from the abuses. In the manner of communication, we did everything through email and only very minimal phone calls. However, I never felt that Tom and Tawsha missed to communicate with me. There was always an effective communication and when I was confused, I just sent an email and even if he was in vacation, I always got the answers from Tom or from his paralegal. I am forever grateful to Tom and Tawsha for guiding, educating and walking me through that very difficult and complicated process. I highly recommend Tom because he is the type of a lawyer who is very straight forward and realistic about his cases.

Thomas Alongi is a complete professional who is brilliant in his understanding and interpretation of family law. I came to him in a desperate state where a previous attorney had completely botched my case by untimely filings. My first encounter with Tom’s firm was a very compassionate and understanding conversation with his assistant/paralegal Tawsha.
My case was complicated . I hired The Alongi firm at the eleventh hour. Tom was able to dissect and reconstruct years of information and get positive results in a short week. He kept me and my children safe from domestic violence and completely turned my nightmare situation into the results I desired. He and his staff have a deep and profound understanding of domestic violence and the Law.
I could only say that my children’s lives and mine were protected through the courts only because of Tom Alongi’s just and fair way of dealing with a very complicated court system.

Was opposing counsel for my now ex-wife, so… take with as many grains of salt as you’d like.
Two things are relevant if you’re interested in hiring this firm.
First, they LOVE to bill.
For example, they put me through a four hour deposition (the legal maximum in Arizona) and they subpoenaed all of my communications with my accountant, ever.
You might think this means they “fight” and “look out for their client’s best interests,” but… four hour depositions for low net worth cases are bizarre and my accountant hadn’t seen a subpoena like this in over 20 years of practice.
More to the point, nothing discovered either during the deposition or from my accountant was remotely relevant to the case. It was a fishing expedition, a waste of God only knows how much money.
Similarly, communications that could have been handled without attorneys or through an informal exchange of emails came through frequently, often with elaborately drafted – and I can only assume, VERY expensive – letters attached.
The extravagant and unnecessary communications stopped when my attorney informed Hallier-Stearns that we had been compiling a file of unreasonable litigation in advance of seeking attorneys fees at trial.
The end result of all of this “Cadillac” legal activity?
My ex-wife got precisely NOTHING she was fighting for.
What she was asking for was patently unreasonable, there was zero percent chance at any point she was going to get sole custody or any of her other wild asks. A good attorney would have told her this. In fact, she fired a lawyer for telling her this two years ago, then went shopping for an attorney who told her what she wanted to hear.
Two years, tons of money spent, she got absolutely nothing she was after. Not a single thing.
The other thing you should know, particularly given Angela Hallier’s “pound of flesh” comment referenced by another reviewer is that she asked me, during the four hour deposition, if I was comfortable with my child being around my girlfriend because my girlfriend is Jewish.
A picture certainly begins to form of who might be uncomfortable around Jews, and it’s not me.

I spoke to Angela and Tabetha today for the first time. After our conversation, they put my mind at ease. I was told about Angela 2 years ago and was hesitant to retain her because of my finances. After going with another attorney and not getting the outcome, I decided to reach out to her. She and her team made excellent points that my attorney failed to address. She is honest and will fight for you and, most importantly, the best interest of your children.

My response: I understand what you are saying. I understand how the law works. My review is based on morals and common respect, in which I felt lacked from Dori. While her team was friendly, she could not act the least bit interested in anything not pertaining to her. The amount of money she “took” and how minimum she did, …..or rather didn’t do—-made it impossible to ignore the injustice. It also made me see how easy representing yourself is, which I did -& won. So for this is the sole reason, I stand with my review. Thank you for replying.

Carrie Cravatta is unethical, lazy, will show up to appointments unprepared, cares more about discussing her vacations (European vacations, cruises) than discussing your case. She will take your money, tell you all the things she will do, ultimately not doing them leaving you wondering what it is she did. Run away, this woman is a wrecking ball and will make your life worse off.
Follow up. Per the request of Carrie’s partners I reached out to discuss my concerns and the basis for my negative review. We spoke for roughly an hour and a half (lots to discuss!) That was weeks ago we spoke, appears the call was nothing more than a dog and pony show, I have heard nothing further, this law group likely continues their unethical, lazy, criminal like activities. Carrie’s partners should fire her so they don’t wreck what the partners are building, it shows a lot about this group that she is still employed and a partner.

Glenn worked with me to help get custody of my children. He discussed all aspects of the case and made sure I knew everything that could and couldn’t happen. Was his rate higher than some other lawyers? Sure-but he fought for me twice as hard as my other lawyers had in the past. I promise, his value far exceeds his rate. Hire him. You won’t regret it. And I am saying that after my case did not go the way I wish it had.

I have used Glenn for a few years ... yes, years.
I am a single father to an only child and my ex and I have equal custody; but as these things go, as she has aged and life has become more about power and control (and gasp, money), I found myself increasingly defending myself against frivolous claims ... not wanting to lawyer-up for simple paperwork, I'd prepare all of my own documents and then use the one-hour consulting offer from Glenn to make sure I wasn't going to make a bad mistake.
After a couple of years, and dealing with an onslaught of legal filings, I bit the bullet and decided to go the "retainer" route with Glenn and his practice ... figured it was worth the cost to make all of the aggravation and emotions someone else's problem.
It was well worth it as I was able to relax knowing I had someone very professional, experienced and competent taking care of everything for me ... I can't say I "won" but I certainly didn't lose and my life (and my child's) are so much better with all of this behind us ... and all of this is because I trusted Glenn and his firm.
We have two more years until my child turns 18, and while I hope I never have to see Glenn again, I won't hesitate retaining him again if ever I find the need!

Patience, organization, tenacity, and a depth of knowledge about every eventuality are mere features of the service provided over the years by Mr. Sherrill. To whom it may concern,
If you are looking to hire a lawyer, I'd watch out before hiring Elizabeth langford. I hired her for over 10 years, as we though that starting over with another lawyer would be way more costly to which i know now was a big mistake. Elizabeth was our lawyer for at least 3 previous cases, she charged $20k+ for at least 2 of them and although we won the cases, it was not due to her due diligence, but my long hours working through documents to bullet point evey actions. We found that she does follow the law for the most part, but she will not build a case for you or really defend her client in court. When we had meets with her, she turns them into a gosip hour and provided no actual plan to defend her client. Her last case as my lawyer, she charged at least $27,000 a case, and I had to build the case for her walking through every little detail (often multiple times). She failed to either remember what was told to her or she just didnt really care to remember, not sure. She then will feel entitled to bill hours on reviewing case information that she doesnt actually know and showed up to court dazed and confused. She waited until the day of court to ask, should we present first or second? I said, they filed the cases first, we are the defendant, they were the plantiff, they should go first. She agreed, but then mins later, in court, when the judge asked who should go first, she said ok, we will go first. No fight, no objection. This put us in a bad position as it's always better to go last since you hear everything the other person is claiming and can defend your client better, but no.
She completely forgot to tell the judge about the unpaid medical / covid claims and when asked for documents to support medical premiums were paid, she froze like a deer in headlight. Her representation in court was pathetic and the other lawyer was far more prepared. Making Elizabeth look like a complete fool scrambling around, not to mention her client (my wife) who she provided no support. She was discombobulated shifting through papers frantically, leaving my wife to try and figure out what to do. When my wife was on the stand, she didnt asking any relevant follow up questions that could defend my wife. They were trying to charge for an extra curricular sport expenses to which our previous court document stated all extra sports must be agreed to in writing. We had extra sports that the plantiff agreed to but never paid, and yet she couldn't remember to say that in court. I made sure in previous cases to outline this keep each side from just trying to force the other parent to pay costs they may not be able to afford. Well, Elizabeth must have been sleeping bc she was dead silent. No defense just let them walk all over my wife.

I was 100% correct. She provided no real fight in court and this justified me firing her. Ive debated if i should write a review and i said i want to make sure others are warned about her bc her profile doesnt lead you to see, in my opinion, the truth of how she presents herself in court. Overall, my opinion of Elizabeth Langford is she is disorganized and really not a true fighter for her clients. Although our cases ended fine for us bc the ex was behind in child support, etc. her representation of a client is to say less-than-stellar.

Liz worked on my child support and parenting time modification and helped me pursue back child support. This case took almost a year and was very complex. Liz worked every angle in order to argue the case for back support which usually is not given. She is amazingly smart and energetic. She really thinks of everything and her team was able to put together a case which not only changed my parenting time to my advantage but I was awarded child support and $42000 in back child support and legal fees. I hired dawn for child custody reasons. I called her with my concerns and it took her a week to get back to me and it wasn’t even her it was her assistant. I had to make a phone appointment to even talk to her about my concerns and why I needed a lawyer to help me. They take forever to answer emails and phone calls. Every email you get from dawn she charges you for. I didn’t like the way she handled my case at all. A lot of mistakes in letters. Very unprofessional. I told her I don’t feel like she is representing me and I feel like she wasn’t on my side which is what I hired her for. She tells me that she’s not that kind of lawyer. She is on both sides. She doesn’t take one side. She listens to both sides. And helps both sides. I thought if I hire a lawyer I pay them to represent me and me only. Not my ex as well. She failed to tell me this when I hired her. Not personal at all and not willing to help you with your concerns. Not happy with this lawyer at all.

My husband and I retained Carissa to represent us in the case against his ex-wife and while the retainer was on the expensive side, we do not regret it. Carissa is a fabulous attorney and she is amazing at what she does. You can tell she loves her job and really cares about her clients and their families. She was honest with us and told us the "not so ugly truth" sometimes but that is what makes a great attorney. She kept us in the loop and returned our calls and emails (but also did not waste attorney time on unnecessary phone time). Some may say that she (or her law office) is expensive but you get what you pay for. And it was money WELL spent. I would recommend her and Jaburg Wilk to everyone and I have recommended her to friends, just as she was recommended to us by a friend.
