she was my former attorney, and I fired her after acted against my will three time on the same issue. I have serious reservations about her competence and ethical conduct:
1. She ignored and acted against my will not once, not twice, but three times on the same issue. I didn’t feel like I was respected at all. She failed to communicate her strategy and get my consent, which I think is to the purpose of maximizing her billing hours.
2. Her oversight delayed my case for a month. I told her the other party’s translation was not done by a court-certified translator twice, one time via phone, one time via email. she just ignored it. When the judge asked her if she knew that, she said she didn’t. I don’t know if she perjured herself or she didn’t remember. The result is that I had to wait a month for the other party to get the translation done by court-certified translator.
3. I believe Ms. Eyre knew the court wouldn't grant spousal support and attorney's fee while the jurisdiction hasn't been determined, the best option for me was to continue the hearing until the jurisdiction is determined. But instead she deliberately found a case law that’s obviously irrelevant to jurisdiction and pretended that I had a chance so that she could argue in court to maximize her billing hours. In re Marriage of Knox, 83 Cal.App.5th 15 (2022), the case law she used, has no bearing on jurisdiction. I think this action resulted in a Breach of Duty. If she argues that that’s not her intention, then she is incompetent to see that the case law had no bearing on jurisdiction. I consulted multiple lawyers, they all told me every lawyer knows the court wouldn't grant any financial relief while the jurisdiction hasn't been determined, this is taught in the first year of law school I felt deeply wronged upon learning this. I knew lawyers could be greedy, but I thought she'd go easy on me because I told her I couldn’t get a job due to my immigrant status and had taken a loan to fund the lawsuit.
I strongly advise against considering her for your legal needs.

Based on my personal experience and the experience of two of my current co-workers who also worked at this firm, this place may seem like a good place to work for, but you will end up regretting it. Their turnover rate is not great. If you are interest in applying, check out the ylp review and apply at your own risk.

Mrs. Peters has been a real blessing during such a stressful anxiety ridden stage in my life. I had two previous attorneys that can’t hold a candle to Laurie and her abilities. I was referred by a friend, who had another friend rave about Laurie, so I took a third shot at representation and I’m so glad I did. I was very jaded with the courts and specifically my counsel. I hired Courtney Shepard because I was told she would be a "Tiger" in the court for me. I really needed someone who could stand up for what was right with my divorce. Instead, I got a feeble attorney. Everytime we had a meeting, she was always jittery, biting her nails, always asking me the same questions. Most of the time she was not prepared. Courtney and her staff didn't keep me in the loop as to what was going on. They scheduled a deposition and didn't tell me about it. I had to constantly ask her & her staff to update me. If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for you, look elsewhere. DON'T hire Courtney Shepard!

Definitely would not recommend using Judge Amy Pellman for mediation services. She was incredibly biased from the start and made an unprofessional comment within 10 minutes of the session starting. Should’ve ended it there instead of wasting an entire day making zero progress on any kind of settlement. She was only interested in assisting one side on their goals, and did not advocate for me on any points. She might’ve been a great judge but clearly needs some more experience in mediation, where the purpose is to try and reach an agreement between both parties- not decide who she thinks is right and pursue their interests only. We hired another mediator after this failed session and had immediate success with them.

I worked with a divorce attorney before. I didn't know I could have been more protected until I found Arelis. I wish my previous attorney could have protected me more. Actually, I wish I found Arelis sooner and hired her as my attorney back then. This is the second time I had to go back to court because my ex wanted to stop paying child support.
Going through a divorce is very stressful and emotional beyond words can describe. Arelis helped calming me down as I was so lost, nervous and stressed. I didn't even know how to protect myself and my kids because emotions were too overwhelming. Anything to do with court process could be intimidating. Going through all the emotions, I lost my thoughts, didn't know where to begin, what to do and didn't even know what questions to ask. I had the experience/expense of working with Mr. Sherlock. I had initially retained his partner Sara. She went on maternity leave and due to their other partner completely bumbling a judgement. Jason stepped in. He talked a big talk. Made me feel at ease. But actions fell far far far short. Emails went unreturned for a good amount of time. Paperwork not filed on time but sent to the courtroom clerk last minute. I spent two years and tens of thousands of dollars with this firm. Trusting their advice and the process. I am baby steps ahead of where I begin.

I retained at a time when I was feeling my lowest. Not only did Rhonda help me through this process efficiently and thoroughly, I felt that her and her paralegal, Rene, truly cared about me. I had another attorney previously and I rarely got responses. In fact, his staff often didn't remember who I was. Renee always got back to me promptly and kept me informed throughout. The rates are reasonable and I never felt overcharged (which is a HUGE concern for anyone going through a family law matter). If you want personal attention with years of expertise, this is the office for you.

I’ve used the services of the law office of Christopher S. Biely for matters concerning custody and so far they have come through for me every time. They are a small office but they take the time to work with you and explain the process and what to expect. They have come to my aid in last minute emergencies. And they are always prompt to respond. I have never had to wait long to have my questions answered. They are friendly and willing to work with you. I can’t recommend them enough. My wife switched to them after being very dissatisfied with her previous attorney and she couldn’t be happier with Mr. Biely.

My case had multiple facets to it, but I was most interested in getting the finance aspects of my divorce taken care of by dividing the finances appropriately, rather than fighting and the courts getting all the money. Nicole took my case and was able to professionally and promptly execute each action item while clearly explaining it to me throughout the entire process. Nicole was able to keep several issues out of court thus keeping the cost down and the time of being in court was reduced as well. Nicole was confident and realistic when it came to dividing assets and support figures, and she wasn’t bullied by opposing counsel’s ridiculous attempts of working through it.

It was a tough situation not only did I lose a partner I was also pregnant during my divorce. Mr. Gold was not just an attorney focused on proceedings/agreements, he did so with integrity and empathy, always taking into account who I was as a person and keeping my character intact in all decision-making. My fiance is going through bad child custody/ support case with his ex, and I was scared cause judge was going for mom and child support went up, so I called almost all attorneys in our county and no one would work with us - we don't have thousands of $ to give a lawyer... but she could hear how scared I was and she is working with us. We are still going through this right now but I would recommend her to Anyone. She is upfront and can be a lil rude but, I don't care, she is an Awesome lawyer! I can't thank her enough!

Ms. Lauser is a wonderful attorney. She is an attorney who is devoted and loves what she does. I truly respect her for the work and devotion that she puts into each of her clients and cases. I have seen her at work she is constantly fighting for what is right. When she believes in her case she will fight for you until the end. She is handling my juvenile case at this moment and is doing an outstanding job. As far as if Ms. Lauser loves the Lord on some of these reviews they say she is a hypocrite I say this to them "You without sin cast the first stone" we all have our dirty little sins and we are not perfect but I can say that Ms. Lauser does love the Lord with all her heart and she may have her faults at times but she is a very God fearing women and an excellent attorney. I was recommended Pamela by another mother going through custody and CPS false reporting. After the interview with Attorney Pamela. She reviewed my case with a short noticed that trial would be in 30 days. I felt confident and quickly hired Attorney Pamela. I felt very confident that I called Attorney Pamela one a week, I had no worries that my case was in good hands. I had two days of trail, well-organized, a list of witnesses - Yes! Pamela had to move fast on my case. Two days and Pamela was great in asking all the right questions, reviewed all documents and on time. An honest, hard working, well prepared to a last minute trial. I was given custody in a small increment but at the mediation meeting two weeks after the trail. The other party decided/willingly to share 50 - 50 joint custody.

I had a very difficult scenario with divorce and found myself looking for an attorney in Sacramento. I cannot say enough good things about Mark and Tanya except that I will be forever indebted to them for their hard work regarding my case. Mine was a divorce because of domestic abuse. Valerie negotiated with my former husband's attorney to get my former husband to accept a 3-year stay-away order without my having to testify in court! It was an achievement I hadn't expected but was extremely grateful for. It truly saved me a lot of anxiety. It has taken me some time to figure out what to write in regards to Mr Spear because no matter what I say its going to be an understatement of how amazing of an attorney he is. He joined my very difficult and dragged out dissolution case later on but picked up on the essence of the case, the issues and both parties strategies immediately and he started moving all matters forward. Mr Spear is fair, brutally honest, efficient, caring, very respectful and will represent his clients with integrity. I'll be honest Family Law is messy and emotional and I feel so blessed to have been referred to Marc Mitzner and his team. They helped me with a complex Domestic Violence, Custody and Divorce Case. From the moment I came into his office everyone was extremely accommodating, professional and very conscientious of the intense emotional state I was in. They executed everything as they promised and in the time frame they said they would. I was constantly updated of my case status. I never had to follow up and ask for any paperwork as it was always emailed to me immediately. When I went to court with Marc and Christina it was easy to see that their reputations were well respected in the court room and with the judge. Finding Marc and his staff was a true blessing in my life. I was facing a horrible child support case for my first time, lost and naive to the entire process. I met Carsen almost several years ago when I hired her. My case required a special kind of attorney who could think outside of the box, someone who would know how and when to mediate with the other parties, but also when to bring things to a judge. There was a time in my life when I lost all hope of having my son. Desperate, scared and almost hopeless I searched for a lawyer. I had all but given up until I found Carsen Smith. In my first conversation with her she took away my desperation and fear. Before our conversation was over, before I knew how much her representation would cost, I was certain that she was the one. Like some beautiful guardian angel she fought for me and my son, and although the battle was long and difficult and extremely emotional at times. She never lost focus. I am very disappointed really about the whole Experience. I went to David due to his reviews and all of the things I have read that has wrote about high conflict divorce and fathers rights. I guess I should have gone with don’t judge a book by it’s cover cause the book was horrible! I was charged different amounts for the same initial meeting twice. One charge was 400.00 the second one was 540.00. I was billed 3500.00 for never going to court. One extension for trial was faxed in and a couple phone calls that was it. I could never get him to answer my calls once he took my money. I had to call from my girls friend phone to get him to answer. Don’t waste your time. Those other reviews are fake I heard him joking about a couple of them the one time I did actually have something you might call a meeting(which was the initial meeting). If you want a Attorney that will let your ex spouse just leave with your kids out of state and do nothing this is your guy !!! Even know he promises that he will do his job and do the ex parte and then not answer his phone for days this is your guy!!! I hope you get the picture!!! Other than that nice guy somewhat clean cut, has no style and shouldn’t be a attorney or is just over the hill at this point !

This review has been a long time coming. Over the years I've been struggling with a huge stolen identity issue that has caused a lot of problems and it was affecting my driver’s license status. Dealing with government agencies can be time consuming and draining and you find yourself getting nowhere in a hot second; I was at the end of my rope. A friend referred me to David. Found him to be knowledgeable, friendly, and over all a good attorney to work with. Unlike many other attorneys’ I have worked with he asked his questions, pulled the emotion out of the situation, and got the problem fixed. It wasn’t easy but he was relentless.
