Larry Martin is an effective lawyer who knows how to get the job done, but in my experience the communication and follow through after the verdict fell short.
I hired Mr. Martin to address a divorce/custody issue. Even though the verdict was a success. The follow through was a 2.5 /3 on a 5 point scale.
The attention to reviewing information that was provided to Larry or his team. Resulted in countless emails/phone calls back and forth only for myself to reiterate the information had previously been received by his team.
In addition, I wouldn’t say don’t hire Larry. I would say understand what your getting, set expectations on communications, and ensure his team is held accountable for every document their reviewing for you.

When you need the best, the very best, then there is truly only one lawyer in Family and Divorce law and that attorney is Mr. Martin. . An extremely effective leader of people, Larry astounded me with his strategic ability, resourcefulness, and determination. Additionally, his technical expertise in family and divorce law is nationally respected and rightfully so. In my view, there is no such thing as an easy divorce and mine was very complex, performed under extreme discourse between the parties and to apply a little added pressure to the situation a client (me) who due to health issues was not as helpful as most clients can be. Larry took t all in stride. His “Game Plan” was second to none. Mr. Martin is an action-oriented, detail-focused, high performance individual. He is willing to take both ownership and accountability, and can lucidly present his conclusions that are always extremely well supported. Putting aside all of the technical skill and acumen of Larry, Mr. Martin is one the few people that has truly remained a simply “Nice Guy.” Someone, who after you go through one of the most trying events you can experience in life and come out on the other side, you just want to call him friend. Larry is someone I am very pleased to and do highly recommend without any reservation.

I needed help with a pretty basic prenup because I owned property before meeting my (now) husband and was getting married soon. I contacted several law offices that wanted half the cost of my wedding!!!
This law office was the first one to try and work with me at a reasonable cost and they made the process simple and quick. I appreciate them SO much!
Other places tried to convince me I needed to add in things I did not want but I felt HEARD here by Samantha Anderson! Thank you!!

Chris Lake is not a good attorney in my opinion. He has mentioned his own mother's divorce multiple times and it shows... he clearly supports the mother in divorce cases even if he is representing the father. This happened to me and many other fathers who were represented by Mr. Lake. He is also incapable of taking any criticism or negative feedback in a constructive way and will just try to blame it on you or someone else. Instead of doing what you want he does what he thinks is best. He also stated negstive things against me in court as a way to make me seem humble and that ended up backfiring. Chris of course blamed it on the judge. He needs to realize many many families have now been adversely affected by his interference. You will be remembered Mr. Lake as a unprofessional and incompetent attorney and an unethical person.

Be careful about this people, we tried to book online an appointment online through their website before holidays and their website didn’t work and we have to book another firm with our initial consultation, but when we checked our credit card they charged us two times without sending us any emails or scheduling for consultation or any kind of appointment!
I normally call people and business in such a rare occasion to explain them and ask to make it fixed .
But this people seems they want to keep the money because of their errors and negligence as their financial manager told us we don’t have refund policy even if this is our website error!
Such a scam!
By the way I am happy that didn’t give my business to them.
Stay away from this scam as scam cannot defend you against other scammers out there.

Mr. Turner was recommended to me by some one on Nextdoor. I just asked my wife for a divorce, and didn't know where to turn for the next step. It was like finding a Consumer Reports Best Buy in legal services. He isn't the cheapest, but he wasn't the most expensive either. His value proved itself many times over. If you find yourself looking for an attorney, please consider him.
My wife hired a one of those expensive lawyers, ranked as one of the top 100 Lawyers of Texas, and fought over the garden hose.
From my initial meeting with Atty Turner, I knew I had some one on my side. Little did he know how contentious this divorce would be, yet, he stuck through it till the end, and despite my wife spending tens of thousands of dollars on her “high powered” attorney, she still had to pay me to end the marriage.
It took almost 18 months, endless discovery, mediation, and a bit of frustration, but he never gave up. All my friends said men don't get a fair shake in divorce here in Texas. I think that's because they didn't hire Attorney Andrew Turner, of the Turner law Firm.

I had an opportunity to work with Atty. Andrew Turner. I had an out of state custody case. Since I was long distance, we spoke several times via phone. Mr. Turner was well knowledgeable and took my case without even meeting me in person. I thought that was very admirable. I am grateful that he was able to take my case. For the second hearing, I was able to meet with him and trusted his advice. Well, we came out victorious!

He went behind my back and drew up an illegal custody arrangement with my ex and pretended to be a non biased attorney "just making sure it was legal". He took away my basic rights as a parent. I was denied even standard order posession when our agreement was supposed to be 50/50. He then screwed me out of $3500 trying to fix his original mistakes because my ex refused to pay him anything even though he was her attorney. I only agreed because I desperately wanted time with my kid. He never filed the modifications. Then laughed in my face when he told me he used his wife Sasha, (who is also his paralegal) as the "psychologist" to clear my ex after she called and told our son she was going to blow her brains out and he would never see his mother again. His wife use to work at Arlington schools as a counselor, not sure how she is qualified to clear a suicide attempt in a custody case. They hid this information falsely under HIPPA rules. My poor kid has seen his mother shoot a gun at me, and dealt with a slew of psychological BS because of this man and his shady practices.

Mary McKnight and I met at the lowest point in my life, recommended highly by a colleague attorney that got thrown off my case for BS from my ex. As soon as we met (just weeks after the loss of her own husband) she reviewed my case looked up at me and smiled a smile that I would grow to look forward to for years. My ex kept us in court for ever and Mary stepped up to bat each time even shortly after a fall that got her a shiny new hip, nothing for between her and arguing for the utmost safety for my son. If this shark is in the waters, you better be on his side of the courtroom. Extreme professionalism. Very intelligent. As you explain your situation, he knows the exact thing to do to take care of it. He is on top of things, and you do not have to worry about this law group stalling, forgetting, or losing focus on your case. From the extremely wealthy clients to just average Joe families, Jeff makes you feel as if your case is his top priority. He was very patient with our lack of understanding about some client/lawyer issues, and would always explain things thoroughly. When it comes to strategy and courtroom demeanor, I doubt you will find a close equal in the metroplex. The cost is a bit high for just a regular Joe family, but we knew it was an investment in our kids that could not be overlooked by using an "okay" lawyer. If you want the best, Jeff Anderson is worth the investment. We had another attorney for many years, but we are grateful to Jeff for really helping us understand what the process should actually look like. It is not only that he is a talented attorney, many are, but Jeff has been taking in family law since he was a little boy. I doubt you will find another attorney that knows the law and its niches backwards and forwards like this guy. If you have a case that you just cannot take a chance on...call Jeff.

Jeff is an amazing resource for family law situations. 15 years ago he helped me with my divorce and custody battle and again in 2017 with a modification. His knowledge of and relationships with Collin County courts proved invaluable. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I started working with them in March of 2024. The attorney is just NOW telling me he doesn’t see it as a viable case. My 3 year old son got his thumb severely crushed while at daycare and had to have surgery to fix it. They worked awfully slow and barely followed up. The worst attorneys in the DFW area.

I know she handles multi million dollar estates. My case was not nearly as complicated as that, but I never felt like she had something more important to do than take care of me as a client. I met with Mr. Engel during my free consult. I paid $100 to his firm and he informed me that he may be able to assist with getting my money returned from a debt resolution company. They kept all paperwork. I've called the office since then, on numerous occasions, and the receptionist takes a message and informs me Mr. Engel will contact me. I've still not received any type of communication from this law firm. I won't be hiring them.
