I hired Juli for a divorce from a 9 year marriage. The divorce was horrible, my ex was completely unreasonable, and the whole process was incredibly complicated with kids, custody and supervision issues, and financial problems. Juli was always available to answer my questions, and was super knowledgeable. She was up front and honest about prospects, and not afraid to tell me what I wanted or was doing was unrealistic or damaging to the case. She also was very personable. You could really tell that she cared on a personal level about my situation and the kids and myself.

I was referred to Juli’s office by close family friends. The initial consultation was great and for the most part most things went smoothly. However upon receiving my final invoice I was charged for multiple things that made no sense. Most charges had full descriptions than slide in there would be “case work”. I was also charged juli’s full rate for the day of court when one of the new attorneys actually presented my case because she was “learning”. I also should mention They attempted to charge me for this new attorney to review my case prior to court! My final bill would have been almost $1500 more than my initial retainer had I not fought it for a divorce that was incredibly open and shut. I could see her being helpful with more complicated divorces as she is an intelligent lawyer but in my case my experience was terrible.

Juli is an exceptional person and one of the most experienced and effective family lawyers in the state. She has assisted me in a post-decree matter several times over the course of 12 years. Each time, she took the time to truly understand the issue, she paid attention to what I, the client, wanted, and she was terrific about keeping me up to speed about what was happening in court. Her firm is amazing and the paralegals and support staff there make it a priority to keep clients connected. There is no one else in the state that I would recommend for family law issues. Juli truly understand the client's needs, personally AND professionally. Working in the legal field myself, I can honestly say that lawyers with her combination of client compassion and expertise are very rare. She is as good as it gets.

I wouldn't recommend Mr. King to anyone. He never met with me in person but only talked to me on the phone which is weird. He filed my case in the wrong court and once sent me a wrong document to sign because as he said it many times "would lose his head had it not been attached." My case was pretty amicable from the start, and we could have settled in a reasonable time, but I have a feeling Mr. King was stringing me along to get more money out of me. He went to court multiple times and never called me to update me on what was going on. It seems like he never did anything to be proactive until I picked up the phone and talked to him. Then you would get charged for the phone call as well for reminding him to do something that he should have known he had to do.

I hired Matthew King for what I hoped would be a short case of father trying to re-open entire parenting agreement. 2 years later it finally settled after what turned into a contentious battle with an unrealistic opposing side. Needless to say Mr King was amazing the entire time! So grateful I found him on a whim and gave him a shot. He holds his composure constantly under pressure and in the end it always did us well. Judge and GAL seemed to respect him a lot as opposed to other attorneys I witnessed. He genuinely cared about the case and child involved. Always available. Could call or meet him anytime needed! Attorney Richard R. Rodriguez is an experienced attorney. For my foreclosure defense case, he covers every perspective and does not give up. He researches laws and writes smart briefs and argues well. It has been years. He is ethical. He protects my rights. He is well respected in courts, too. He cares about his clients and provides comprehensive advice. I have had him for years. He is very reliable. He is a nice person, as well. He is very smart and thinks and analyzes well. Being an experienced attorney, his memorandum submitted to court is tailored to my situation. Hire him. You will not be disappointed. When my ideas and thoughts are not always correct, he politely but being straight to explain to me where I was wrong. He does not impose his will on me and always explains why he suggests and takes certain actions. When I had problems in other areas of my life, he offers advice with reasonable charges. I felt as though I was already at a disadvantage being male in DuPage and seeking as much time as possible with my daughter. My ex wanted to fight over every little thing possible. After 6.5 years and several lawyers later, by the grace of God, I found Katie.
Katie turned the entire case around and it was resolved in 18 months. Katie diligently reviewed the case file and had my ex figured out. She always responded to my calls and emails in a very timely manner. She was well prepared for all of our hearings. My case was a mess filled with drama and I don't know what I would have done without Katie. Thank you for everything!

When I entered this battle with my sons father I knew that I needed someone that I could trust and rely on. A friend referred me to Debbie because she did such a great job with her case. I met with her and felt how passionate she was towards the best interest of the children, in these cases. It made me feel secure in hiring her. Debbie has been my attorney for over a year and not once has it taken her more then 2 hours to respond to an issue that was at hand, another attribute of her practice that made me feel secure. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my situation. Debbie makes her self available whenever needed including last minute. When it comes down to my son, I will do everything to protect him. I'm a former client of this attorney. I hired her after i had a very bad experience with another attorney. Attorney Kimmelman is extremely knowledgeable and competent. She fights for every client and every issue. I had the best possible experience with her. She was proactive and was able to predict every step of the opposite side. She is available 24/7 and never suggests unnecessary motions or steps to bill extra fees. BTW, she is extremely generous with her fees and very honest. NEVER will suggest something that makes no sense. My divorce was very difficult and I had to continue professional relationships with this attorney for another two years after the date of the divorce. The results exceeded all possible expectations. I will provide few fact which speak volumes about professionalism of this attorney, During 2.5 years of this nightmare called divorce the opposite side did not win a single motion. When my divorce was finally over, my ex husband recommended my attorney ( not his) to his colleague/friend, which attests the best to the professionalism and personal skills of Debra Kimmelman. I would not ask for a better divorce attorney.

During a very tumultuous time in my life, Jacob stepped in and provided a sensible, yet firm grip on reality for me and guided me through the process of divorce. He did not sugar coat anything, but let me know he was in my corner 100% - which allowed me to make informed and logical decisions. That is very hard to do in a high stress, emotional situation. Mr. Palmisano retired due to health reasons. The other attorneys left and set up shop in Orland Park. The Suite 63 is now owned and occupied by FWM Beauty. It has been so for at least 6 months. It is easy to verify this just type FWM Beauty and see the address is the same as the Palmisano Law Group old address.

Don't Hire Them! I hired Jennifer Clancy for a child support case. They told me what I wanted to hear and got my retainer. After my initial consultation that I assumed was free, they charged over $600 from my retainer. After I questioned that they knocked it down in half but it should still have been no charge IMO. Had to stay on her to keep the case moving. Fast forward to the hearing date Jennifer had NO argument for the judge to consider modifying my child support. No cited case law, no plan, and no reason to tell the judge why it should be changed. Even the judge was waiting for her legal argument but she did not prepare anything. Just kept repeating, "my client shouldn't have to pay!" BUT wait there's more!! 9 DAYS after I lost the case I got served with a notice they were suing me for an additional $1,800 I owed them. (Gave them $3,500 to start) This was the balance of the bill I owed them after court. I never got any bill!!! No call to me, no email, and no letter stating I had a balance to settle. Just a court date subpoena. It was the most unprofessional way to do business. They had all my contact information and could have called. Unfortunately I just paid the bill to be done with her and not go to court. Read all the other reviews too and then find a real lawyer.
March 2022 update: In response to Jennifer's reply below, I call BS. They claim in their reply "Mr. Naughton agreed to an unusual provision in his Judgment for Dissolution of Marriage..." as a reason the case wasn't won. It is true I agreed to an unusual provision BUT this was the SOLE REASON I wanted to modify my child support. Jennifer and Jim assured me this was a winnable case and "no problem" to get my child support modified. That statement was the reason I hired them!! SMH. I do agree any case can be lost no matter how strong it seems. Notice they didn't address the portion of my review where 9 days after the case concluded they filed a suit against me their client. I never got a final bill at all. Jennifer knew my phone number and email when corresponding about the case but decided to just take me to court to pay the balance owed.
So Jennifer (who had NO case law to bring to the judge) in the future, don't lie about your chances to win a case and STOP serving your clients with law suites when they owe you money. Send them a final bill. Please hire anyone besides Palmisano if you want a chance. I am to blame for hiring Jennifer!

F. James Roytek represented our corporation over 35 times in Pro Se. He did so with the aplomb of a benevolent friend, not only to my company, but to the defendents against whom he represented our corporation. I found Jim always prepared, willing to negotiate "win-win" arrangements for both parties, punctual, thoughtful and very helpful. Having interviewed 12 other attorneys for this role several years back, Jim made the most favorable impression and never let us down. Only after our corporation was sold and essentially disolved did this 15 year affiliation come to and end.
It is said that Lady Justice is blind, and many of the individuals against whom Jim represented us had few if any teeth. Despite that fact, Jim treated each defendent respectfully yet firmly, remembering always who, pray tell, he represented. I would recommend him with absolutely no hesitation whatsover.

I was involved in a car accident and my car was deemed a total loss. I had many issues getting in contact with the insurance company of the individual who hit my car, and when in contact with them, I was left with no answers. I was feeling hopeless, and this was my first time having to deal with anything like this, so I was a bit nervous; but then I reached out to Steve, and him and his team made this whole process seamless. They were in communication with me, making sure I was in the loop at all times, they addressed any questions I had promptly and thoroughly, and most importantly, they made sure I was compensated for my loss. Overall, it was a wonderful experience working with them, and Steve and his team will be my first call shall I ever encounter a legal issue in the future.

I reached out to other attorneys who didn’t take my legal issues seriously, disregarded my legal concerns, and did not want to take the time to even seriously consider my case.
Then I called Steve and he gave me hope in my case and he was caring, charismatic, and a down to earth, but also a fierce and brilliant attorney.
His team and his legal secretary, Carol were extremely helpful, she always communicated with me and kept me up to date moment by moment on my case.
Their office is professional, courteous, and I highly recommend Steve and his team at Mevorah and Giglio law offices. They also had a Spanish speaking attorney named Jose Gallardo who helped me with my case as well and he was excellent.

I don't typically review online but this experience was the worst and others need to know to not be taken advantage of. Do your homework on this lawyer and talk to other attorneys as ask about him. I fell for his fancy website and long resume. My next attorney laughed about it and said "Dion is known for putting down any conversation or meeting he ever sat in and claiming he was a member or influential position, no other attorney has to try and build themselves up like him." "Dion spends more time trying to make up his own accolades and write his own press releases. Its a joke in the courthouse."
My attorney took a mess that Mr. Davi messed up and cleaned it up quickly because the Judge actually respected him.
Well the experience he built up was not accurate at all and all I got was excuses, delays, and rudeness from Mr. Davi and his staff that kept turning over.
I was very uncomfortable around him and just wanted my case resolved. I eventually was creeped out enough by his advances and then rudeness when I said "no". He claimed he was the only one that could help and that it looked bad getting a new attorney. He was wrong it was the best decision for me and my family and couldn't have been happier to be done with this firm.
I hope this helps someone.

I learned of Gary Wangler Law Firm entirely by accident. I needed a lawyer in Jersey County IL and searched for one in neighboring Madison County. Stephanie Hall and her assistant @ Meyer Capel represented me in my divorce. It was an absolutely awful experience.
1. Very disorganized - I was constantly having to resubmit documents.
2. I repeatedly asked that motions of relief be submitted to the judge. I was told they would be....they never were.
3. Communication was terrible - I would have to send emails multiple times over a week or two before they were finally returned.
4. In a meeting with opposing counsel, Stephanie Hall was not prepared at all and had no questions prepared. I felt totally unsupported.
5. When the judge met with her and opposing counsel to go over the status of the case. The judge recommended a 55% - 45% split of assets and debts. This was what I expected. However, when opposing counsel submitted a settlement proposal which was much less favorable. Stephanie Hall advised I take that. When I asked why, she had no good reasoning for it, other than to just get the divorce finalized. ..........when I disagreed with her because of what the judge said, Stephanie threatened to stop representing me.....I told her I could not afford to change attorneys at that point and it was ridiculous for her to threaten that , just because I did not agree with her on the proposed settlement.
Again, I wish I would have sought out other counsel. However, I simply did not know if I could afford to start over with another attorney.

Jamie was the best decision I ever made. She truly cares about getting the results you want. It’s almost as though my case was as personal for her as it was for me. $3,500 dollars down the drain from a lack of communication, false promises, and excuses of why it took 4.5 months to write a motion/petition to modify parental allocation which oddly referred to me as the mother (she/her) in the language. I switched counsel because of no movement and had $200 left from my retainer which was never reimbursed even after calling the firm’s office asking for payment. Moreover, she was unprepared for court and got talked over by the other party’s lawyer. I got the results I was looking for elsewhere.

For my my divorce I used Aaron. It took 3 years. Some of my other girlfriends had used him as well, same thing. There’s only so many divorces in the area and Aarron will make the most out of it. When looking for representation, look in a bigger town.

Aaron has been my ex wife's attorney now for years of court. Basically he's a great attorney at divorce but if you want a mess of a divorce, he'll bring it. His legal guidance is less than standard and often includes hiding and not attending to business if its not in his clients favor, but life isn't a "client" its peoples lives he has no regard for. If you let him, he will drag things out. Clients of any divorce need to realize that no one "wins", its a divorce! The entire family pays the price. He's basically not a fraud, but extremely close to that line in the sand. If you have a brain and basic a divorce and you need someone close to the courthouse, he would be fine. If you have a business...stay away! His lack of business understanding or lack of interest will tank all parties in his quest for everything..in closing, he's smart but not that smart. He knows basic law, aside from that he's very weak.

Attorney Teeter presents himself as a "kind hearted" attorney. However, once contracted as a client, I began feeling treated like a paralegal. I was doing multiple errands, compiling case deciding documents, and even negotiated my case settlement meetings. Jim would "snap" and yell at me often and unexpectedly when I assumed he was stressed or aggravated with the case. I observed him once "shaking" as we stood before the judge as the opposing attorney was attacking his legal professionalism.
He made sure to consistently send me legal bills, but who wouldn't. However, in my case, I feel he did not deserve his pay.

license or went to jail. He was very affordable. At that time I was not able to afford more.
I also hired him for a chapter 7 Bankruptcy and he did a great job. I paid another $300 bucks

Doug Warlick was absolutely useless in my divorce. He was never prepared in court every time I met him there. He claimed to know the judge on a personal level but every time we went to court the judge ruled the opposite of what Doug was asking for. He had no idea about the facts of my case when it was finally presented to the judge after continuance upon continuance. And as soon as my funds were running low he asked the court to excuse him from being my attorney. He bills himself as having "Experience with Integrity". Integrity?? We think not. I have never posted any reviews but Doug did such a poor job that I felt responsible to warn others: Do NOT hire this guy as your lawyer.
