Alex was an awesome attorney for my custody case. She was very realistic on what could be achieved and didn't give me the runaround just to drive up my bill. I got a summons to show up to court to get the child support raised as my daughter lived with her mother, BUT in an insane turn of events, thanks to Alex not only did I end up with FULL CUSTODY OF MY DAUGHTER, the mother paid for a great deal of the fees.
Yes, you read right, with my hand raised to the lord, if it wasn’t for Alex, I’d be watering dollar bills in the ground right now.
I live outside of state and she took on my case on, Alex took care of just about everything, so much so, that at times I’d forget I was going through rough times in my life.
On my flight back home from Chicago, as my daughter slept in the seat next to me, I looked at her, and I asked myself in my head, did that just happened, yes, yes it did, and I pictured Alex giving me a thumbs up with her smile. YOU can have this moment too.
Alex reminded me of one of those hard hitting movie lawyers as I watched her work her magic in court. It was great to see her transform and turn up the heat in the court room.

He told me we had a tough case from the beginning but yet, he won my case for me! He is very knowledgeable, always in your corner and one step ahead of your opposing party. I consulted with Miss Doci for my divorce and frankly I wasn't sure whether I should hire her because she is young. You hear horror stories about the divorce process and the lawyers taking advantage of your situation. Dont let her young age fool you though. She is a very positive person and very professional. I was quite impressed. We consulted, I hired her, she kept me in the loop and was very understanding and respectful of my requirements. I couldn't have asked for a better person to represent me. She contacted me a few days before the divorce to let me know the procedure of the divorce in the courtroom and assure me that everything was going to be okay. Over a 2 year period I was represented by Catherine Byrne and found the experience to a good one when it came to representation. She was prompt, detailed and always well prepared in her presentation. What I found most enlightning was responsiveness in getting to know me as a father and not just a client. I think this helped a great deal in how she approached the representation.
She was able to make things happen, get us in and out of court and have all issues addressed. Catherine is well respected in family court and always treated the process with respect.

Catherine took on my case knowing that it would be an uphill battle. She and her staff were great keeping me informed and always sent me emails AND hard copies of all motions and responses that she filed on my behalf. She is a dedicated attorney that spent a tremendous amount of time on my case. She is aggressive, determined and results oriented. Cases can get very costly, especially if your case goes to trial. However, I don't believe Catherine deliberately bills hours to inflate cost. On the contrary, in my case, Catherine fought hard to resolve my case however my ex-husband and his attorney keep prolonging our case by being uncooperative, unresponsive and unwilling to negotiate. My case did indeed go to trial. During my trial, Catherine came in fully prepared with facts, documents, and case law that backed up each argument. She was focused, prepared, and confident! As I sat in court, I remember thinking how glad I was that I had her on my side! As a result or her knowledge, hard work and dedication, we were victorious!
The bottom line is when you are going through the process of selecting an attorney, your really do get what you pay for! And, it's equally as important to note, that - as a client - you get what you give. Without question, it behooves clients to be COMPLETELY honest & forthright with Catherine and provided her with all the facts and the information she requests in a timely fashion. By providing her with the information she needed quickly, she was able to work efficiently and focus on the law and how it applied to my case.
I honestly can't say enough great things about Ms. Byrne. She has looked out for me and my family since day one and I hold her in the highest regard. She has a perfect mix of integrity & Hootzpa. Richard is a very experienced lawyer. He took his time explaining to me the process of the court as I was in the process of getting custody of my son. There is alot more than just filing papers he went above and beyond by answering calls of mine on his personal time and always being prepared for court. Never did I feel like he stole any time from me as it was getting deducted from the initial deposit given at the time of hire. Unfortunately he works for a different firm located in downtown chicago and it is a bit of a drive for me but he is highly recommended. He is now with Jeffrey M Leving law firm.

My daughter starts at Southern Oaks tomorrow in Ky, my hometown, thanks to Andrew Rankin. I'm so nervous and excited for this change. I'm even more excited for her. More than anything, the fact that she is so happy about moving, let's me know this is exactly where we are supposed to be. Going through this divorce has been the most heart wrenching experience not just on me, but for my girls. I never imagined being treated by the man I loved for so long in such hateful and slanderous ways. 5 months ago I received a petition for divorce, alimony, sole custody, child support, and a restraining order keeping me within 50 miles of his residence when Im not even from here nor know anyone because I spent 4 years focused solely on my degree and family. Bridget Walsh Hutchen has represented my family and me several times, always with a positive outcome. She evidences skill, empathy, knowledge, and perseverance. I was cited for speeding in a school zone, an offense that could have resulted in the loss of my license for six months. Bridget was effective in getting my offense reduced to just speeding so that I could receive court supervision. She seemed to be well known to court officials who treated her with great respect. On another occasion Bridget represented my family after painters contaminated our home with lead dust forcing us to vacate our home for two months and incur huge cleaning expenses. She helped us to deal with the painters' insurance company who initially seemed sympathetic. When they started to ignore us, she kept at them.
