Lauren has been such a god-send for me. She helped me to mitigate a messy mediation situation where I was poised to give everything away by the time she came to my aide. She was very patient with me on hard decisions and helped me to gain back shared custody of my children without going through the process of litigation. If litigation were to have been necessary, she had me prepared to go with another lawyer so I wouldn't lose any time. I hired Lauren as a collaborative attorney in an effort to settle my divorce without proceeding to litigation. I knew very little about the different processes (e.g., mediation, collaborative, litigation) used to settle divorces and Lauren was extremely helpful in educating me on these topics and teaching me the pros and cons of each approach. This helped me to make educated decisions that I was comfortable with based on our discussions. She also made it clear that she had a genuine interest in the well being of my family and always minimized the business aspect of the relationship. She is an excellent lawyer in this space and I highly recommend her to others that are considering legal representation in divorce proceedings. Very happy with her work on my case!

I first met Lauren about nine years ago when looking for a mediation lawyer to facilitate my divorce process. From the many lawyers I talked to, she was the one that inspired the most trust and confidence, and to this I do not regret the decision of working with her.
Those who have been through a divorce know that a divorce is always a messy emotional and financial process. This gets magnified if people do it the "traditional" way with separate lawyers alienating the couple even more, expensive litigation, arguing back-and-forward endlessly, etc. At times this process can take years.
But with mediation divorce does not become an adversarial process. It is a process in which both parties communicate in ways that are healthy. Lauren is excellent and very skillful at facilitating this type of communication. What I appreciated the most about working with Lauren was her kind spirit and empathetic presence. While working with her it felt like she must have received training as a counselor at some point in her career due to her excellent listening skills. It made the divorce process go smoothly, and it was significantly cheaper than a traditional divorce.
I am grateful for the support Lauren provided during a rather difficult time in my life. I highly recommend her professional services.

My first attorney represented me in family court. I paid over $7,000 and got nowhere! My brother recommended Sandra Spennato so I cut ties with the 1st attorney, collected my files and started again from scratch with Sandra. Immediately, she listened to my current situation, listened to my goals, and put together a custom plan while also managing my expectations on what is realistic in the eyes of NY law. 1st thing she did was a discovery phase (which my former attorney NEVER did) looking at my ex's bank records which put us in a favorable position. She fought hard and in much less than a year (**during COVID**) we had the terms agreed to involving my daughter and my finances. If only I had been introduced to her in the first place, would have been A LOT less stress, a lot less time, and a lot less money wasted. I hired Sandra Spennato to help me obtain custody of my son. She is very knowledgeable and also quite the tactician. Sandra did not sell me a dream and false hope. She told me the cold hard truth every time we met and that is what I need. I have experienced lawyers that have sold me false truths and have only been interested in draining my wallet dry. She is nothing like that. I have never met a more understanding and passionate attorney. She understood the circumstances I was faced with in my case and she helped keep my emotions in check. I had to swallow a few hard pills but Sandra always made it tolerable after explaining why swallowing those pills could work in our favor. Lily is experienced, professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, fearless, and honest. She was the second divorce attorney I hired: the first one did not know how to handle a high conflict divorce, but Lily was quick to understand the situation, and fought for me, to achieve the best possible outcome in a bad situation. I was truly afraid of my ex spouse, who could be extremely spiteful, and Lily helped me to feel safe. I appreciated that she did not employ dirty tactics or lies, which the other party did, but was still an able, calm yet fierce advocate for me and for the interests of my children. She knows the laws and the courts very well. I could count on her to give me her honest assessment of the situation and possible/probable scenarios, to fight for me where it made sense to fight, but also to help to bring us to a workable agreement whenever the opportunity arose. She advocated so that I could make choices that I could live with: I wanted to keep my house, and she helped me to do that, even when the other party wanted to force me to sell it. However, she did encourage me to think about all of the options that were available to me before making my decisions. She was kind, patient, and encouraging when I felt that I could not tolerate the stress of the divorce. I believe that she truly understands what divorce feels like for her clients, having been through it herself once. I recommend her highly to anyone who is going through a divorce.

I just finished with more than a year long divorce "saga". Thanks to Lily, we were able to avoid a trial and the case was settled on quite reasonable terms.
When my now ex- filed for divorce, I interviewed 3 lawyers and did not feel comfortable. A friend of a friend of mine recommended Lily, and after we first met I was quite confident that I can trust her. Step after step after step, thanks to Lily, we were getting into more and more advantageous position.
Lily is a pleasure to deal with; she is easily accessible (you don't need to go through layers of secretaries, assistants to ask a question) , personable, very experienced, has a great intuition and great sense of humor.
Divorce is terrible situation, but if you get a lawyer that you are comfortable with, it makes things much easier.
I would recommend Lily wholeheartedly.

Lily started off as my review attorney in mediation, where her savvy intuition lead us to information about which I was unaware during my marriage. We ended up in court where she made sure I would be taken care of financially. It was a major success, thanks to Lily.

I was very fortunate to have Shivani represent me in connection with a prenuptial agreement, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of representation in a matrimonial/family law matter. Shivani made what could have been an awkward and uncomfortable process into a completely manageable, expeditious, and helpful experience. I am really glad to have worked with Shivani on my divorce because everything was made very easy for me. Shivani was available, clear, organised, communicative, warm and determined. Very professional and worked with ease during the complexity of this legal process which is admirable and intelligent. All of these things I needed at the time. Shivani took very good care of me. For example, personally attending an inspection for my protection. Shivani explained all of the information regarding my divorce concisely, comprehensibly and patiently and so the divorce jargon proved to not be complicated for me. Cindy took over my divorce case from my former lawyer and she quickly learned all the details of the case. My divorce was not amicable or simple. We owned several properties together and our finances were very complicated. Cindy's knowledge, professionalism and efficiency kept my ex and I focused on the negotiations. She skillfully mediated difficult, touchy topics and she kept the process moving. She is well-versed in handling divorces and clearly explained my options each step of the way. My ex didn't have a lawyer so Cindy had to deal with him directly, as he was pro se (representing himself). She's great with people and summed up my situation with him pretty quickly. She dealt with him perfectly. We were able to sign a fair agreement that I was happy with and we avoid a costly trial. I am incredibly grateful to Cindy for her advice, understanding and diligence, especially for being persistent with the judge's office in getting the divorce paperwork filed.

Cindy Sanchez has been my lawyer since 2005. She was referred to me through a legal plan I had at my job. I hired Cindy to help me obtain a shared physical and legal custody of my children. My case was fairly complicated since my children's mother took them to another state with the intention of relocating to that state just before the beginning of the school year. My children were supposed to go back to school in September 2005 in New York City. However, their mother enrolled them in a school in another state, 700 miles away from New York City. Cindy was able to convince the judge to schedule a court hearing early in September 2005. This was extremely important because the longer my children stayed in the school out-of-state, the smaller the chance that the judge would order to bring my children back in their school in New York was. Cindy was extremely helpful to ensure that my children's mother could be served with the order to appear in court. My children's mother was very difficult to find. I first try the local police to serve her but it did not work. Cindy advised me to hire a local professional to do the serving. In a matter of minutes, she was able to identify this professional. It was critical to do the serving during the appropriate time window. Otherwise, the court date would have been postponed to October 2005. As I mentioned before, this would have tremendously reduced the chance of having my children back in their school in New York for the year 2005-2006. During the court hearing in September 2005, the judge ordered that my children had to return to their school in New York. I was relieved by this decision. I can say that without the expertise and responsiveness of Cindy, my children would not have returned to New York.
Cindy was resourceful, insightful, and supportive at every stage of the divorce process. She helped me obtain a shared physical and legal custody of my children. She has also successfully helped me with a few custody issues since the divorce. Cindy is a very intelligent and knowlegdeable lawyer who has the ability to listen to the client and fully understand his/her needs, concerns, and fears. I have also appreciated her very pleasant and balanced personality. I highly recommend Cindy.

When my ex wife hired a top Madison Ave lawyer to represent her interests in a very poorly drawn out divorce/property settlement with a lot of loose ends, (Mediator shall remain anonymous) - it threw me and my current wife into turmoil.
I felt fear.
We were so fortunate to have found Lauren to represent us.
Lauren grounded us and explained the situation and its various outcomes. Lauren worked tirelessly and expertly and responded to our questions.
Lauren argued our points elegantly and directly against a very aggressive and established opposition team. Lauren acted patiently with us when we asked the same questions more than once and answered messages that were time sensitive at one point at 2;30am so that we could respond on time.
We finished with a decent buyout with satisfaction and closure. At the very end the frustration of the opposition councils unexpected shortcoming was obvious. Kudos to you Lauren! I had the pleasure of hiring this lawyer a few years ago to handle my deceased mother's estate. Prior to her death, he assisted me with the purchase of her house and created a will for her at her request. He was also extremely instrumental in helping me with a Class Action suit that my mother had been participating in before her death; ensuring that I as her next of kin received the residual benefits yielded fro that suit. He also assisted me with becoming her Power of Attorney when she was no longer able to handle business on her own (as per her request).
I highly recommend Mr. Sorote to anyone needing an attorney who bends over backwards in an effort to make positive things happen and see justice served in any scenario. He masters all components of his field and gets results.

This review is not for the lawyer but for her Assistants my case started a year ago and it has complete STRESS with her Assistants you call and leave messages and they don't call you back to get anything done and when you do they rush you off the phone are always answered by a call center never by someone who works there. I wouldn't recommend this lawyer the stress is not worth itneither is the 2000 she charges to have to deal with does unprofessional Assistants.

Sean O Hara has no business in law, came off nice, seemingly, except he contradicted himself several times. Claiming he never heard from the company, but knew where they sent my w-2…Did nothing for nine months and when I gave him crucial information he tried to get money, completely unaware that I had another attorney related to this case. His terrible work caused me to go through their employees and that’s a no for me dog, all white men. Fired and replaced. Don’t waste your time, not my first rodeo, but apparently his. Mind you the case was easy, pictures, text messages and he blew it, lazy, lazy, lazy. Easily the most important client you’ll ever have too.

I was refer to Ms Puleo from a different lawyer.
When I talk to Ms Puleo on the phone she understood and hear me.
She took my case. I did everything she requested of me.
She kept an eye on the court date.
The court date change and she was on top of it and notified me. I change my plan to the new date. - I read of nightmare when lawyers don't know if the court date change - it was not the case with me.
The case got dismiss ( yes you read correctly)
I still pay child support voluntarily. I believe a child should be taking care of with a fair amount.
If the child mother decide to take me to family court again, I will hire Ms Puleo again.
